I recently downloaded the VGA HTC Home, but the icons are pretty nasty looking, does anyone have icons for HTC Home that are designed for VGA devices?

Hello,
Is there any way to remove that big clock from HTC Home.
I'we been looking some options in HTC Home Customizer but no success.
Thanks
I guess you can just remove n°1 in the registry there:
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\Tabsetting". Default is "1,2,3,4,5,6"
it is kinda big... I like having the time there because I use wisbar advance and the time isnt displayed anywhere else but it could use a face life... maybe a smaller font and centered instead of large font and off to the right.
That would leave room for more plugins on the today screen which comes in very handy in my opinion.
I have the HTC touch, I like the icons in the attached pictures(circled icons). I will like to change 2 of them to something else but don't know what like the lock to lets say gcalc and cart to opera not IE. I've searched but have not found it so I am asking the question. Sorry if there is a duplicate thread but could not find that thread.
Thanks.
Get the old HHC app
HTC Home Customizer do the trick... in all the ICON library you can find that icons... if not upgrade the icons on the HHC it allows you to upgrade for free... go and play with it.

I've using HTC customizer but it does not do the HTC verizon icons, just does the home, weather, shortcuts, volume but not the ones circled in the picture attached but I found a way to edit the reg from http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11156&referrerid=268240
I've changed the ones that I wanted to change and now I have my own icons and I also found ilauncher and that is also good. Was worth the search and questions.
NICE
nice to heard it dude!
As anyone who owns an HD2 knows, HTC have thought of absolutely everything with this device. It's a fantastic experience. The only area I think they could have done better is the Start menu - the weird combination of HTC and Microsoft icons is a bit disconcerting. With that in mind, I've re-made many icons, from both Microsoft and HTC, in the square 6.5 style. Wasn't difficult to do - this page (http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/wi...ting-custom-icons-for-windows-mobile-6-5.aspx) explains how to do it - but I hope you like them. Eventually I will update this set with square icons for every start menu item and with larger icons for use in HTC Sense quicklinks! BTW, you can use software like Showaco's reStart to change Start menu icons on your device.
There are about 40 icons.
They're 90 pixels square.

It wasn't a question, I was making a statement. In consequence, the icons will be blurred if set as Sense Quicklinks.

Yes, they do look quite bad in Sense... but can't you change the icons in Sense independently of the Start menu icons?

No. Sense uses application icons or the ones set in the Registry. Being so, Sense uses 120 square pixel icons so best dimension for custom icons would be 128 square, which would look perfect both in Start Menu and Sense.

Well like I mentioned at the start, HTC screwed up with these icons. It should look nice out of the box. I guess I'll consider re-doing them...

Thank you
These are the first set of icons I truly like... they are original and eye pleasing.
All others i've seen are just iphone copies.. which are not that good looking anyway...
looking forward to your 128x128 icons
Thanks!

My comment was pure support in sharing information about Sense icons before he continues his work.

+1, as you can see in the CSMI thread, I'm using your icons which are fantastic.. too bad that if you use them in the HTC Homescreen they are blurred due to low resolution.. looking forward to the 128x128 upgrade eheh
Does anyone have any idea where I could find a theme like the one on the HTC HD mini? I would like it to be simple black and also black manilla would be nice. I found the new colored manilla here on the forum but that one also has changed icons which I don't want. So, black manilla+black theme anyone?
(I've seen more devices with these themes running but I'm reffering to the HD mini in particular because I'm running winmo 6.5.5 on my mega)
I can provide you with the HD mini theme wallpaper....than you are already half way......
note: save as PNG file....and than copy to your phone. Install with M2DC.
I do not have the black Manila......but if you browse through this thread you may find what you want......http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=575723
Have fun....
You can download the theme made by me here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=662186

First, it says its WVGA, Touch2 is QVGA and it doesnt look like the original theme from MINI?
I like it but thats WVGA, mega is QVGA, i dont think it'll work.
-edit-mirost1 beat me to it
Here is something i knocked together using frank caarls bg image and editing the hh_tab images
(Note that the weather icons are dudd, im using the mortscript to display an icon there rather than "No Weather Data")
Thanks, I was looking for something like this a while ago. I achieved it by using separate elements, like the hd mini wallpaper set throughout manilla with m2dc, livven simplegloss themes & customizations and a black manilla theme called "[email protected] 2.6 look m2d skin". All of these already available here on xda.
Now, does anyone know how I could get rid of the soft start button? Because mega already has a hardware key for that and it just takes space on the screen
hey mates,
i'm currently using a stock 1.48 rom with wm6.5 included. it runs 1921-manila with gtx theme.
to make my hole phone gtx-like, i need of course a wm skin.
there are some out there and they are pretty well, but non of them is really the best for me.
i have one, which i really like, but the scrolling bars are very ugly. i have got another one with nice scrolling bars.
my question is how to "copy" the scrolling bars of theme 1 into theme 2 or just how can i modify a wm6.5 theme?
thanks in advance,
