SMS Time fix??? Xm6r5

okay i flashed xm6r5 to my g4 and i have been having a big problem with my text and mms messages having the complete wrong time on it is there anyway to fix this problem ? i have searched and i guess i missed it if it has already been covered. thanks in advance
Hey, I have that problem too with another Windows Mobile Device, I tried to counter it by selecting my time zone as austuralia and some other countries, my sms recieved time is 3 hours before the time I recieved it. So if I got one on 6pm, it would say 3pm.
Also, I had trouble receiving sms from certain people, I would get there 2nd sms every time, so if they send the 1st, I don't get it, the 2nd sms, I receive it, the 3rd, I don't and so on!
I'm going to be calling my service provider (fido...bastards) and tell them to restart my connection see if it works!
Good luck!

you have too many messages and need to delete them. This happened to me and slowed down my phone. I deleted them and it ran fine and I got no message after that. Also clear the browser cache
the problem is when i try to delete threads, it freezes again

I had 400 messages and it took me a good 5 minutes to delete them all... I probably clicked the wait button a good 5 to 10 times.

I had 600 when I noticed the slow down... it took awhile to delete those since then I delete at about 400 or so
FWIW, it seems there might be a problem with the push on outgoing messages tonight
I am having a problem that when I get new SMS, it uses the "From" in the list of messages as an old (and deleted) thread all the time. I also can't reply to those SMS, but have to Compose a new message to respond. The only SMS that seems to work correctly are ones that I had received from contacts before I received the one SMS that it keeps using as the "From". So, in case it wasn't clear, all my new SMS show as coming from the same address (which happens to be an email address) and I can't reply to them. I'm sure a hard reset would fix this, but I don't want to have to go through reloading everything to just fix this one thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I am a little confused on what is happening. You are saying you are receiving a ton of messages from an email address? or that your sending sms from an email address?

Any new SMS I receive from a contact show up in the message list (main screen where the "New Message" option shows as well as your messages threads) as coming from this one specific email address I received a message from about a week ago. If I open up that message thread, it shows the SMS as coming from the correct person but if I try and reply to it, it gives me an error saying "Your message has no valid recipients", so I have compose a new SMS from the main screen and put the address in to be able to respond. Some how it is keeping that one address and assigning any new SMS to that name in the thread list as well as not using the right address for replying. It's really strange and it's bugging the heck out of me!

That sounds extremely weird. I would think a hard reset will fix the problem.

Call Cust service and tell them you need Tier 2 support for Smart/Blackberry. They can fix your texting issues

I am having the same problem. When I send a new sms or recieve one, the reply always goes to the first entry in my address book, which happens to be a land line, and I then have to create a new message to reply. I tried deleting all the old messages, and now all the messages have this same problem.
Is there any way to fix this without having to do a hard reset?
I had to get a new SIM card from T-Mobile to resolve my messaging problems. Guess it was a good time since I had the same one for 8 years now.
I had to get a new SIM card when I bought my G1, mine was only 5 years old ;-)
So that shouldnt be the issue for me.

Duplicated SMS

Anyone got this problem of getting duplicated SMS? I receive a SMS and sometimes that SMS i receive again for example 30min later but with the original time, each SMS only repeat once.
I have the HTC Vodafone stock ROM, this start to happen about 3 weeks ago.
Check to make sure you don't have notification on more than one SMS apps. Check that you don't have reminder on. Try rebooting. That's all I can think of.
Sent from the Axiom One S.
Also check with Vodafone
I think i will send to vodafone for the 3rd time, the first two times there was because of touch button issue.
I love the phone but i am getting lot of problems, i found another problem with the GSM only work sometimes .

error message....... can't send phone limit exceeded?

Hello all last week I noticed something weird happen when I went to call a friend. The dial tone never sounded so I cancelled the call I then tried to recall and it said something like can't send phone limit exceeded ( I'm on contract).... I then thought I would text him and the message failed to send so I tried another contact and that also failed... My browser also wouldn't connect to the internet....... I turned my phone off and all was fine again....
Anyway tonight almost exactly a week later I'm texting and it won't send all of a sudden so I try to make a call and low and behold the same error can't send phone limit exceeded appears.... This time I turned off my data and turned it back on and weirdly it let me send texts and call....
I've also been receiving some messages twice..... Any ideas guys?
PS I have a cubot x17 but its never happened before
