My old "dumb" phone allowed me to assign ringtones for individual contacts (as does WM), it also allowed me to assign a generic ringtone for all contacts in my address book (that don't have a specific ringtone assigned) versus a different ringtone for all callers not in my address book.
Can you do this in WM 6.1 or WM in general?

Has anyone noticed this- While syncing your WM6 with OUTLOOK 2007 if you have any phone number in 'other' field in outlook, it does not get synced !!! It infact does not even show the 'other' field in WM whereas it is present in OUTLOOK. Isn't this strange that microsoft product made to sync with outlook does not see the 'other' phone number field. Its stupid and extremely annoying as I have more than 2000 contacts and plenty of numbers in 'other' field. I discovered it accidently. I wonder the latest WM6 is not really designed to fully integrate with outlook. Infact activesync is specially designed to make it sync. Please share your experiences ....
I have a German version of WM6 and use the built-in contact to organize all my contacts. In some contacts there are notes written in Chinese (multi-bytes, I suppose). After synchronization with Outlook in my desktop, all notes became unreadable, I mean "??????".
I donot know if it happens when I synchronize my contact list with two desktops (work and home) or if it happens whenever I try to synchronize with one of them.
Is it able to specify which encoding should be used, e.g., UTF-8 in WM6 or Outlook in XP or Vista? Or do you have your own solution for it? If so, I would be very grateful if you can share it with me. Many thanks.
Hi, is there a possibility to see how many contacts are on my Kaiser with WM6? I'm not sure if I go to SIM manager, does it count some contacts as two entries if the contact has a home number and mobile number.
Is there a reg tweak or software to set different ringtones for different email accounts?
Like we have one for SMS and one for all eMail - but I am looking for something that will set different tones for gmail, activesync, hotmail or as many different accouts as set?

I want to set a specific ringtone for a few contacts. In the contact app, for specific contacts, different ringtones are assigned but when they call me I hear the default ringtone.
