Controlling mic gain for recording - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Does anyone know which parameter to adjust in the AudioPara csv file to adjust the mic gain used during recording? Using the AGC control drops down the loud sounds but still clips and distorts. Gain controls in various audio programs have no effect.
Which parameter controls compression? I think some of the sound level issues posted else where may need to adjust this parameter as well as overall volume.
TIA

How to increase headphone volume?

I used to have a .cab called Audio-Boost, but it does not work on my current ROM, a warning don't even try it....so....what registry handles the headset volume. Before the "Manila-based" ROMs, I used to use the Audio-Boost and it would put the volume at the perfect level (ie, when I Fly I could hear the audio fine, before.....too low). I do have the HTC Audio Booster, not loud enough, and WOW screws up my phone.
Cheers.

Workaround
Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but many freeware media players have an adjustable preamp setting which might help you hear in the airplane. Mortplayer and TCPMP for example have this option.

AudioPara_.csv file -- columns of adjustments

Does anyone know what the different parameters in the columns adjust in the AudioPara_.csv file? Seems like this file, if tweaked properly can fix several sound issues. Some seem fairly obvious but others not.
There also seems to be some kind of compression/limiting going on, loud noises in the receiver will bring volume too far down and then I can barely hear the other person. HTC is probably protecting the tiny speakers, but it seems it's not adjusted properly. Sometimes even first outgoing ring is nice and loud, but the next is soft. Go figure!
This is also true for the outgoing mic. I have had some people say it's too loud from my phone. Sometimes I can even hear my own background noise loud through my earpiece, similar to the mic sensitivity thread. If I talk fairly loud then sometimes the overall volume drops, including my receiver, regardless of the microphone AGC setting.
With recording there seems to be some control from the AGC enable switch setting, but even when it's turned off, there is some sort of limiting. I've tried a few different audio programs to record and they respond similar. The gain controls offered in these programs don't seem to do much. Recording music easily clips the sound! The AudioPara file has controls for CE_REC_INC_MIC and CE_REC_EXT_MIC, which seem like this might control some of this. Again there are many columns of adjustments.
Seems like this file can fix a lot, but it would be beneficial to have a better understanding before blindly trying this and that as many have. Does anyone know where to get replacement speakers if we blow one from the wrong settings? Please share any knowledge you have about these settings and suggestions of where to find out more. It seems like more than just gain and volume that needs adjustment.
Thanks!

Reducing mic output gain on video record. Why? Cause its too loud & distorts

I'm looking to reduce the mic gain level while recording video. I notice it doesn't take too loud of a noise to cause distortion when you play it back. I also notice it picks up even the tinniest of sounds. Eg... its very sensitive. It picks up a small fan 20 feet away and on the video it sounds like you are standing next to it. In a way, this can be good, but in most ways it's not. What is the exact setting to adjust to ruduce the mic output gain level? I'm sure it's in the Audiopara file, but if someone knows exactly which setting so I wont have to be tweaking 2 or 3 of them to find it, it would be helpful. Thank you guys n gals

Speaker playback

I'm a Metalhead n need playback of my Metal tracks to be good quality on the phone if not great ! Everything else plays fine than a Rock/Metal track. Its no doubt that the audio quality on the headphones is great. I also understand that those low quality speakers on the Optimus suck.
So now what's the solution to eliminate the crackling + hiss sound?
Can I apply some software application? Can I change the speaker hardware? Can I alter the music files in a way that they dont produce crackling sound but still sound loud enough on speakers?
P.S : Many of the music files I download are originally encoded at a low volume i.e. some of the music files are low volume, while others are higher volume (based on how they were encoded by the uploaders). I always amplify the volume using the freeware "Wavepad" due to the low volume of files. I experimented by first applying a reverb to the files n then amplifying them to see if they no more produce a crackling sound.
Please help me if someone knows what I'm talkin abt.
I almost solved the issue of the crackling/hiss sound on speaker playback by playing around with the software "Wavepad".
In this software, I applied the following to the mp3 files in the given sequence:
1. Automatic Gain Control
2. Equalizer - Band Stop
3. Stereo Pan
4. Amplify - 200% to 300% (max)

Does anyone know how to adjust the default lowest in-call volume, which is ~10%?

I don't seem to find a way to adjust the in-call volume to anywhere below the default lowest volume, which is about 10%. I've found this volume to be still quite loud, especially when I'm using in-ear noise cancelling earphone and when the other party is calling from a noisy background.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
I don't think there are any default settings for such an issue. You can try to check Google Play for an App that does just that.
