Save Call History - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
does someone know if it's possible to save the call history and to import it after flashing a new rom on a HTC Diamond ?
Is there a file corresponding to this history ?
Thanks

PIM Backup is what you should use, it allows you to save appointments, call logs, contacts, messages (SMS, MMS, ...), speed dials, and tasks.
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1806

you can also find PIM Backup 2.8 in this forum if you search for it.
I believe that SPB Backup does this as well.

I thought PIM backup was about saving Contacts only.
Many thanks for both of you !!

missing text messages since flash update

hi all, a newbie here. i spent ages reading the very informative guides on flashing my mda compact to the latest version, including radio, so firstly many thanks for all that help.
since doing this and using active sync to restore my old data, documents, pictures etc. my outlook sms messages have gone.
they seem to be in the phone in the windows\messaging folder (when browsing with active sync) and i've established that the sms function is a hidden windows\tmail.exe program and i've told the files to open with that application, but still no joy.
am i correct in assuming that windows\tmail.exe is the correct program and is there a way of moving the files back to the inbox so that i can read them?
any help would be most appreciated, cheers
Activesync doesnt backup SMS msgs, only a program like jeyo for outlook will do that. the files in windows\messaging will just be regular email msgs/headers. you would of lost all the sms in the upgrade

PIM Backup 2.5
here it is
I find it easier to just let it sync with outlook after a rom upgrade. you will get all your contacts and mails back.
but make sure to use the pimbackup to keep your sms messages and call logs etc.

My push email server and pim backup started conflicting with each other after a few rom flashes so now only my email syncs with the server...I backup everything else via Pim Backup.

It's not a WinMo phone, right? contact your service provider. Most have the means to conduct PIM transfers between incompatible phones. Most will also charge you for the luxury. I think it's usually worth it not to have to retype every contact, when you have over a hundred...

send tasks, contacts, appointments and notes by email

hello!
I need your help!
I use pocket breeze and pocket informant If this helps.
I want to send tasks, contacts, appointments and notes by email, since my love has a PPC and I want to share with him some data. Since he s not near me all day, I need to send him by mail. the beam solution is not the way!
In office 2007, laptop computer I can assign someone to do a task, foward an appoitment or contact.
Can I do it with Pocket Informant or with Pocket Breeze? Can I do it with something else?
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks
Deiota
maybe you can use PPC Pim Backup and then backup your contacts, tasks, appointments then send the backup file thru email. Then he can use the same application to restore it to his device.
Just a thought though
Thanks for your reply!
Anyway, that ain't a solution!!
I want to create tasks and apps and contacts, if needed and imediately send it to someone, my hubbie, for instance, so that people can add automatically in his PIM in his PPC.
Do you have any other solution????
Thanks
Deiota
not even sure normal pc outlook support that
the normal pc outlook does it!
assign tasks and invite to appointments etc...
all that!
great feature!
the PPC does it with beam BT, not with e-mail, I think! That's what I wanted to make sure of!
thanks!
Try sending the contact information via vPIM as a text message, but then select his email address.
Not sure about tasks, etc.

Where does WM5 / WM6 storage the sms messages?

What title said...
My girlfriend wants to keep her sms messages.
Where does WM5 storage them?
Does nobody knows this?
Messages are kept in WM6 (and I think WM5) in a file called cemail.vol. Contacts, addresses and calendar are in pim.vol. Normally these are read/copy/write protected by the system, so you won't be able to copy and paste them. Use something like PIM Backup by FdcSoft to backup and restore emails and other info.

Transfer Contact, Message, Call History from WM to Android

Need help. Tried to use Sprite Migrate to transfer all contacts, messages and call history from WM6 to Andriod but failed.
I read the post and google allows to sync only the contact to Android but not for contacts and messages.
Hope anyone can help.
