Dear all,
I've port XIP&SYS of i780 to 21109,
after flashing,
1. I found that the device some times halted on "Screen Correction"
2. The device will be halted when I plug USB cable
3. The screen will have a blank square when I using mouse model, no such problem happened when I using 4-way Navigation. Please refer to the attachments. When I disable mouse, the screen runs well, just like the first picture; when I enable mouse, and then move the mouse to the center, click "About", and found that an black square happenes, and the place is where the mouse placed, just like the second picture.
Can anyone explain....thanks...

Seems your digitizer is gone.
Connect the device in active sync and then try MSP remote allignment.
Use search button, hope you'll find it...

maybe the problem is that you dont tap at the screen right.
i had a similar problem before
look closer into the cross, you will see a white dot
tap right into the center and i think that will solve your problem
you just gotta be precise
I had the problem before. You need to change the touch screen,it cost about 20$
Try to shift the screen from horizontal to vertical (i had the same problem with an old rom)
It is hardware failure, that's all.I got one Alpine - xdaIIi like that.

buddy your touch sensor is gone.....i have the same issue......here's what you need to do:
Option 1: connect your phone to your pc via activesync, explore to windows directory and delete / rename the file called welcome.exe
Option 2: create a blank file on you pc called welcome.not and place it on the root of your storage card.
Option 3: use the MSP remote alignment.
Some people say event turning the device off then on again will kill the align screen but i can't say cause i haven't tried it.
after you're setup and all good, there would still be some applications that require a 'touch' some place....for that, since you (and i) don't have a touch screen anymore, the best thing to do is to get a MOUSE on your ppc
virtual mouse attached below.....just assign a hardware button to it to turn it on or off at will.....i use backlight button for it.....
P.S: was having some probs in uploading so i've renamed the file to .zip. just rename to .rar if you have problems extracting it
enjoy and PM me if you face anymore problems.
cheers
Hi junooni ,
I hv the same problem with my XDA IIs, and now my phone has been sitting in my drawer for 1 months.
Just some question, the above option that you stated above. After going through your option will the phone still be useable. I mean after that can i still used the phone to make a call since i need to use a remote mouse.
And also do i need to use activesync and connect it to my PC everything i need to use my XDA.
try taking out sim & memory card
i was also stuck on that.. this is how i got it solved, take out sim & memory card and to do it you need to take battery out as sim is under battery then hold two softkeys and reset button at same time and press 0 instead of x . now you should be able to go pass the align screen.... hopefully it helped....
Well.. it didn't help to me.. How can I browse windows directory via activesync? Am I so stupid or it's just invisible or what?
Hi everyone. I have this bluetooth mouse and tried to use it with my sensation (running stock ics shared by rmk40 here.
But i'm having two issues:
1) When connected to the mouse, my onscreen keyboard never appears. I think my phone recognizes it as both mouse and keyboard (it says connected to bluetooth mouse in bluetooth settings, though).
2) Left and right clicks of the mouse performs the same action (the normal left click action) while the right click is supposed to perform as "back" button.
Any ideas, fixes?
I'm experiencing the same issues with a bluetooth mouse from A4Tech, model BT-310.
The right button does not go back, instead it performs the same action as a normal click.
No on screen keyboard while using the mouse.
Did you find any fixes for this?
I am using ViperSs 1.0.0 ROM.
Nope. Found nothing.. Asked on general android section here . Hope there's someone knows the solution!
It's just so silly that ICS didn't get at least basic mouse & keyboard configuration panel : D
Google's approach to software projects is one of the worst in the entire world
I have one of those Android HDMI TV sticks (A variant of CX-01, to be exact.) running 4.0.4, successfully rooted and hacked up to my liking. There is one thing I would like it to do, which, in my case, is the reason to own it in the first place: I need a very portable presentation device, which I could plug into anything with a HDMI socket and play a presentation. (As a side note, it boots whenever it gets power supplied, so you can use it as a very hidden cheap web server - it's smaller than a Raspberry Pi.)
There is a problem with this usage, however. The device comes with a 2.4 GHz wireless accelerometer-based mouse with a few buttons, which is it's only input device, connected over USB OTG. (Replacing it with something else would be very much not cost-effective) That mouse is only usable because when it is connected, ICS displays a mouse pointer on screen, otherwise, navigation would be way too cumbersome. I have replaced the stock mouse pointer with a smaller one by replacing the png image in framework-res.apk, and it's good enough. Using Hide Bar, I was able to hide the status bar (the wireless mouse has back and home buttons) so I get the full screen for my presentation.
During the presentation itself, I need an input device to move between individual slides and otherwise trigger execution, buttons on the wireless mouse work, or can be reassigned in various ways. However, I need the mouse pointer to invisible during that, as the motion sensitive wireless mouse would make it move constantly while I'm talking with the mouse in my hand.
There is apparently no way to temporarily disable the accelerometer in the mouse itself, while it has a power button that disables it entirely, it turns off everything, including the buttons, and pressing the buttons enables the mouse again.
This means I need a software means to temporarily hide or disable the mouse pointer. (I can obviously permanently hide it by replacing the pointer with a transparent PNG. That would make it very hard to control the device, because the only button it has to trigger a control actually simulates a left click, so it's out.) Extensive googling failed to provide an answer -- most of the time people who get a mouse pointer they don't want seem to eventually give up and pick a HID device which does not produce it instead. As far as I can see, there can only be two ways to do it:
Somehow get the OS to think it has no mouse HID device, or that it's not moving.
Somehow force the mouse pointer to stick to a corner of the screen and keep it there while it's not needed.
Unfortunately I could find no clear sources on either method. I'm not above some hacking and programming to get it done, but I would appreciate an advice on what to look for.
Hello all,
I'm trying to connect my new HP 23tm touch monitor to my MK808 mini Android PC and I'm having problems. The touch to the monitor is registered and the cursor is showing at the top left corner of the screen, but the movement is not registered. The multitouch is also registered, because when I touch with the 5 fingers of my hand, the cursor becomes a circle and moves a bit and also the stick starts to produce the clicking sound.
Can this be fixed with .idc file or I need a custom ROM which supports touchscreens?
Any help and ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Please! Any suggestions?
Hey guys, do you know that you can attach Computer's keyboard and mouse on your broken touch panel phone if your phone supports OTG.
And till the replacement of demaged touch display panel you can still use your phone.
