Small fee - 34.99$ ?? This looks really like an awesome app. I've seen the same for gps but then my battery is empty in 6 hours or so. For such a "small fee" most software companies offer a lot more. Take a look at handango or any other mobile software shop and check out the bestsellers. They offer a lot more.
For 10$ I'd buy this app at once.

Testing our secure phone software (Raseac Secure Phone).

Dear Sirs.
I am deploying our product next version, the Raseac Secure Phone.
Currently our fixed line version is totaly free, with AES 256 bits encryption, CBC mode and random IV cryptography, and if you want to use your HTC hardware to do secure fixed calls, you need to buy the socket sdio 56k modem (see this modem at socketcom.com).
Currently we don't tested our product under the CDMA netword, and we are asking for some help if you have a couple of HTC equipments and a CDMA-CSD (Circuit Switched Data) available.
Our GSM-CSD version have a limited time of one minute for each call (we need to make money selling our full cellular version ).
Our Quick Install User's manual version 3.0 will be deployed next week, and currently we have only our 2.0 version manual. If you have interest in taking a look in our product, i am ready to support you.
We don't tested our product under WM 2005, only with WM 2003, if you want to take a look under the WM 2005 operating system, i would be glad.
I am this product developer, and only one.
This version is very nice, i am working hard in our next version (we will have a lot of good news in this new version, but for the moment i can't disclosure the news).
Please go to our main page and download page in order to download the Unlimited fixed line version and the freeware one minute cellular version.

Any contact, please send an e-mail to me:
Thank you.

WM 2005 certification
When will it be certified for WM 2005?
Raseac working with WM2005
I will test our system with wm2005 next 3 months.
If someone could help us testing our freeware version with wm2005 (the freeware allows one minute of secure conversation for each call) , i am ready to support him.
The freeware download is available in our site (http://www.raseac.com.br). The new 3.0 version english manual will be ready next week, currently we have only the 2.0 version.
Cesar.
This sounds very similar to cryptophone, is their any relationship to this company??
Cryptophone relationship.
We don't have any relationship with cryptophone.
Our projects are different, both have the target of doing secure phone conversations, both use the GSM-CSD data channel, but both have different security design.
Cryptophone is an hardware/software, our product is a software.
Cesar.

GPS software for smartphone (no touchscreen)

Hi.
I have a HTC Kaiser which I've gotten to work beautifully with tomtom 6 and the latest USA maps. However, I also have a Samsung Blackjack II which does not work with the tomtom 6, I'm sure that out of the thousands of smartphone users out there, they can't all use google map or something free online crap (I don't have unlimited data). So please, Windows 6 smartphone users out there, tell me what you use for GPS navigation. Thanks.
I just setup Navizon on my mother's blackjack 2 last night. Google maps or windows live should work also, but Navizon has 2 advantages --
1) It also does positioning by cell signal and Wifi signal if it can't lock on GPS.
2) If it does have a gps lock, you collect points while you're using it as it collects data on what cell phone towers you can pick up in different areas, to improve it's cellular positioning system. These points add up fairly quickly (at least, they do on my kaiser) and for every 10k points you earn, they'll pay you $15 via paypal.
If you decide to sign up for navizon, I'd appreciate it if you use my referral link, as then I get bonus points for telling you about it. The referral doesn't reduce your point count or take away from your use in any way, so it's a win-win. Of course, If for some reason you don't want to, you can also go directly to their main site without the referral code and sign up.
Here's the link:

HTH!
Gai-jin
you can get tomtom for smartphones !
Oh, one other thing, to get navizon working on the blackjack, I had to install a patch to get the gps working... I believe the url was http://modaco.com/gpsactivatorbj2 -- If that's not right, google for modaco gps activator blackjack 2 -- that should find it.
I prefer Garmin Mobile XT on my HTC Vox. It works with less hiccups than TomTom and has a lighter footprint.

[Q] [REQ] App to block transmission of MSISDN to block value-added services

Hi there,
I am using an Android Phone in Germany. In the last months a lot of people klicked some adds in their apps and found themselves in a specific kind of value-added-service subscription. Apparently the MSISDN (through which the caller is identified) is transmitted and some dubious value-added service providers like EriXXXon IPX for example charge you about 80€/month for a completely useless subscription for services you never ordered. The cashing works through your local cell-network provider. Since the contract itself was concluded not with your network provider, but with some third party in Far Far Away the provider refuses to refund the money. One would have to contact the Far Far Away company which surprisingly would not respond to your pleas. The network provider on the other hand says, that there is no technical possibility to simply block or disable those services via customer demand. And currently there are no laws in Germany (and Europe afaic) that would prevent this kind of rip-off.
So my question: Is there a possibillity to simply block the sending of the MSISDN during a WAP-Request? Because thats seems to be the protocol over which the MSISDN is transmitted. WAP-Billing is a surplus technology with all those smartphones out there, so maybe it would be sufficient to simply switch off WAP transmission completely while leaving all the other internet protocols switched on.
Any help (e.g. like an app ) would be very much appreciated.
None of you with a hint? An idea? Or the same problem? What a pity...
WAN-MSISDN : disable added-value-services by MSIDN: WANTED.
O yea, I have, fearing the drowsy minute late at the end of a working day where I can not practice "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" claimed by "defence against the dark arts" teacher Moody... Still it is as you described and none of us willingly to be ripped-of german sheep had yet the nerve to shout at our providers to shut out the gild of thieves by wire. Could be that they had a lot of homework to do that got neglected AND at the end have a slightly better reputation, but astonishingly some painfully reduced $$$ (i.e. €€€) Signs on their added-value-service-statistics.
Just MHO
Perhaps I come back in a year when I will have plunged in such a trap, will have given the case to some advocacy (because my insurance will pay for it) and have undergone some trial sessions. Lets say you'll hear that I won in about 4 years, and will have lost valuable time like 100h, and could gain no compensation from the fraudy company using WAN MSISDN transmission by the title of some german court
I read you can mail your provider and tell them to disable billing of added-value-services.
"Des Weiteren bieten einige Provider wie Telekom oder Vodafone an, Inkasso-Forderungen per Rechnung sperren zu lassen."

This will not happen if you will use loader droid for these kind of surfing where apps like clauncher mobogenie pop outs and start to download without your permission. Even wap will ask you before subscription that you will be charged 2$for this subscription...when you do it on loader droid downloading subscriptions are not automatic without your permissions..

Voopee - where social meets the next generation

Has anyone tried Voopee ?
would like to get more feedbacks from users on the existing application.
Practically it is using a voice over lte technology where you get a mobile number (malaysian based for now) and functions like a prepaid account without the need of a sim card.
We're connected to a malaysian telco right now, but imagine the infinite possibilities when we connect to other country telco's.
The capabilities also includes messaging, news and most multimedia features.
Would love to get feedbacks from you guys !
thanks !
