hola,
I use a prog called reset options to schedule daily softreset my phone. Apprently I have noticed after reset the phone gets stuck at password screen ( phone screen lock). Unless i put the password it does not moves ahead. Is there way to bypass the password after reset, or any other reset programe a/v that can bypass the passowrd screen.
do you want to bypass the password or disable it?
Certainly , need the password option , but want to bypass it when automatic schedule reset takes action.
Never tried it so dont know if its even possible but could you use MortScript on a schedule to turn off the password just before the reset?
then of course, you will need to enable it for a regular reset.
reset options app.

Hello Everyone,
Last night I've activated the password function to my mobile phone but the strange thing is i couldn't open my phone with the same password on Windows Mobile.
I thought that it could be fixed by re-installing the ROM but couldn't suceed because of ActiveSync connection.
Can anyone help me about this issue please? How could I deactivate the password?
P.S: I'm using WM6 on my Dopod 838
could you be a little more specific about the problem? you dont have to use activesync to upgrade your rom. just put your phone into bl mode and go from there. that WILL clear the password as long as your updating the ce rom. or just do a hard reset
would formatting the storage/chipondisk not clear any password setting on the device ?
I think i have a quite silly situation, this is the normal Windows CE Password which we use usually and activates itself when we turn on the phone or some minutes later after we didn't use it.
I thought the same but i need to open my phone with password for cleaning storage. Actually i don't know how to hard reset this phone, i only was using "Storage Clear" application for erasing whole thing.
For installing new rom, I need to make CID unlock and the phone does not run the application without having the ActiveSync connection (guest connection) with phone.
Hard reset: Hold both software "---" keys on the keyboard and reset with stylus. Then hit "0" key to hard reset or "X" key to cancel.
Bootloader mode: Hold light and power buttons together and reset with stylus. (The light button is on the front edge of the phone, near the volume slider). In bootloader mode please keep in mind that the backlight is turned off, therefore the screen is hard to read in poor light.
Since yesterday I have the following problem:
When I touch the buttons of my HTC Diamond Touch 2 (WM 6.5) an unlock screen appears.
Yesterday I configured a new mail account, and in the confusion I also activated the unlock screen.
The box “prompt if phone in unused for” is gray instead of black so I can’t remove it.
I want to unlock my phone with the slider as I used to do.
Who knows the solution for my problem???
John.
try a soft reset
cheers, stephan
Soft reset sounds horrifying for me.
Can you tell what will be lost with a soft reset?
How can I soft reset my WM 6.5?
John
Tried soft reset, no result, still this stupid password unlock screen...
I want my unlock slider back, i want to be the boss over my own phone.
Does somebody now a solution other than hard reset?
John.
do you have any additonal software installed on your device that may modify the lock settings? If not, I have a feeling you have to go to settings> security>phone lock and uncheck the box that says "prompt if phone unused for" Hope it helps.
Anyone know how to turn off the lock pattern on a samsung s6 that is forgotten?
I can get into my phone by entering the pattern in wrong 5 times as it then asks me for my backup PIN that I know. I can go into the settings of the phone to turn the pattern off but it asks me to confirm the correct pattern to turn it off so that way is usless. I have tried to reset the phone via plugging the phone into the computer and logging into my google account but to reset the phone I also have to enter the pattern into the phone to conferm that it's me but obviously I can't.
It's just annoying as the only way I can get into my phone is to enter the pattern in 5 times so it then askes me my backup PIN just to unlock the phone every time I want to use it.
Is there a hard reset I can do that doesn't ask me to conferm the pattern? or can I ring my service provider to reset it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try these guide. I hope it will solve your problem.
Forgive me if this has been answered before but I have searched and seaarched and found no answer.
So I was having issues with my touch screen and decided to do a factory reset with ODIN. After doing the factory reset it now takes me to the setup wizard and won't allow me to click on the start button. If I tap on the screen really fast, it will take me to something that says Setting up QR code reader. That's it. Doesn't take me to Google Sign up or anything. Does this mean FRP is locked?
Thanks!
Hi! I have an S7edge with full encryption enabled with a password. My phone was acting slow and firefox was not being responsive, so I power cycled it. It came back to the normal black screen with "Your phone is encrypted for security. To start up your device, enter your password." I entered in my normal password, but it was rejected. I tried this several times, which resulted in a message asking me to restart my phone. I thought that this was odd, since I changed the setting to never wipe, but instead just lock out for an increasing amount of time. After a few iterations of this, I'm at the 7 attempts left until a full data wipe.
I'm thoroughly confused as to
1. How my password is no longer working?
2. How the setting for lock out time vs. data wipe was reset?
Is there any way to solve this issue, or I'm out of luck and will need to perform a full data reset?
