hi guys, i need some help from you tech guys, i have a new P6500 thats running WM6.1, unfortunatly we use a pice of software that wont run on it, it currently only supports WM5,
i am after a Rom to flash to the device to give me WM5, i understand that one currently does not exsist so is it possable to make one? i dont need all of the features working i just need it to make calls, get a GPRS connection and run the software, everything else does not matter.
is this possable ?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312519 and its pretty cool, device is faster than any other ROM but the problem is I cannot wake up the device if its sleeps, Power, camera, voice, receive call none of the buttons are working none of them is working if someone can tell how can I fix this one up would be a great favor, coz i rally want to keep this ROM is awesome and perfect.
Second thing is that I dunt understand what does G3 and G4 means, Im using I-mate JasJar with WM5 orignally. I want to flash to last available ROM, which one I should go for? and from where to download? Im using Imate JasJar but changed my ROM before to one availble, now I need something which is released newly and stable. I have seen some ROMs having Jeyo SMS Backup 1.1 and some dont, how can I install Jeyo SMS Backup 1.1 to one of the device? Can I copy some files and try to install in the rom which dun have one?

i have a vodafone i640 (the i620 from vodafone is called i640 and has a metal front) with windows mobile 6 from ebay.
All networks can be used, but I want to delete all the vodafone stuff. I never had a smartphone with wm6, so I need to know whether
• I need a new unbranded firmware
or
• remove are there tools to delete the vodafone live! links and the stuff?
• Do I need a special WM6 version, because the uncommon display resolution of 320x240!?
A adress where I can get unbranded firmware or tools for this would be really helpful.
The i620 should also work on the i640.

the i620 has diferent hardware from the i640, so i guess the i620 rom wouldn't work in a i640.
hi, i revive this post to say i got firmware for this handset and cedownloader , but do not know how to put i flash mode , does anyone know how?

no need of HARDRESET.

What's the purpose of upgrading the radio rom? Will it give my prophet 3G network compatibility or something? Do you mind writing just 1 line of the benefiits of upgrading for each of your ROMS? I find you have contributed a lot but I just dont understand it. I've read the wiki too. I'm still using default ROM 2.15 with WM5

Flashing a Radio ROM will upgrade the software used for call handling, bluetooth and WiFi. It will not give you any functionality like 3G, but may increase Reception, and reliability of other Radios. It may also alter battery life.
If it's working fine at the moment, there is no real need to upgrade.
I'm download this Radio Rom and hoping it'll cure my problem.
How do I flash this Radio ROM? Do I use the Wizard Service Tool V4? A amature question so please bare. Unless it has its own execution then disregard my question
I enter the phone into Bootloader and ran Radio ROM 2.19.21 which is what I had original and program indicate "Error [300]: Invalid Update Tool. This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get a newer Update Utility."
So I tried other version and getting the same message. I'm very confused, plz help.

I simple use the Prophet Tools Light and it worked! everything back to normal!

Guys.. I understand that what the radio rom is for... Wifi, GSM, Bluetooth etc.. and that 2.19.21 is THE recommended 1.. but.. can someone please explain why? whats the difference between 2.19.21 and the latest 2.69.21 etc? If someone can post a brief guide on the pro's and con's of each radio rom then that would be great! Im particularly interested in a rom that gives the best wifi distance if anyone can recommend one? Also.. If I upgrade the radio rom will that affect my ability to access certain networks in in different countries? Im in South Africa would like to continue being able to use it in South Africa.. but would like longer wifi range if possible.. Thanx

I recommend it, because last time I test it. This RADIO ROM is more stabil and has aa good battery usage.
But If you think that 2.69.21 is suitable for you. You can use it too.

Thnx Varanusvincent.. so i take it that upgrading the radio rom wont have an effect on which countries I can use the phone in? See the last time I tried to flash a fone it ended up only being able to work in Canada! Oopz Dnt Ask! Hehe
Anyway, it just seems to me that the reason people create upgrades is to increase stability rather than decrease it and maybe provide new features.. I doubt that radio roms will provide new features.. but I am hoping for longer wifi range no matter what the battery drain may be.. so think i'll just take a chance this weekend and play around with the radio roms and see what happens then.. Samsung offers free upgrade from WM6.1 to WM6.5.
You can upgrade Omnia 2 via PC Studio. Get it from samsung's website.

ye i forgot 2 tell that when i try 2 install the flash it gives me a error (260) its saying that i got connection problems but i think that might be wrong because i already tryed it out on a different pc... and i know i have 2 shut down my anti-virus programme

Sounds like you need to install .net in your machine. Yes some anitivirus do detect the ruu wrapper as virus.
Also dont try to install a CDMA ROM in the GSM Phone. I am assuming you have a GSM phone. Just make sure you install a GSM ROM. Look in the GSM forum.
