Well..... wrong place to post this but, it either needs to be cooked into the ROM or you can buy Wisbar advanced!
Actually it doesn't need to be cooked in. You need resco explorer and the DLL/MUI/BMP files. use active sync to copy them to your cell to like your "My Documents Folder and the use Resco explorer to copy them to your /windows directly. You'll need to run SDKcert and a registry fix cab first though for the new files to work. Everything is in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437307. Make sure the onces you download are qvga though. That thread is for a vga device and most files are in VGA format. I've been playing around with them already.

I have been trying to find a way to use the minilla2d on my treo 700wx. I did manage to get it parcially install utilizing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2841354&postcount=175 step-by-step. I also had to use the xda-developer-m2d.cab off freeppcsoftware and another cab (which I cannont find the link for) that was a patch for non-htc phones.
My issue is the screen size is two long and the widget slide icon bar at the bottom of m2d does not display. Is there a way or can some with better skills cook an install that fits the 320x240 700wx screen? I assume this is possible because a similar widget bar is used at the bottom of icontacts. There is also a m2d for the kiaser which is suppose to have the same screen size. Any assistants would greatly be appreciated.

I would assume
17. Copy and paste all the files from Folder Step Two to device \windows directory

Is having you copy the resized skin files into the right place.
Disable TF2D from your today screen and copy the files over, then soft reset and enable it.
Edit: yes, download finished, you need to copy the files from "Step Two" Into your /Windows DIR, or the skin will be the wrong size.
Edit two: woops didnt notice your screen rez, pick any QVGA skin from the M2D skins thread in D&H and paste the files into /windows or use one of the M2D customiser skins, again QVGA.
veyka,
Thank you. I did copy the files to my \windows folder. Thank you for clarifying that I need to do the same thing using a QVGA theme.
I have been searching for the past 15 minutes but can't find the answer! What do you use to make 6.5.x themes?

Chome visual editor only is for edit , search and use this , i used this for my works
I want to edit things like scrollbars, highlights, softkey backgrounds. This doesn't seem to do it.
Find a WM6.5.X theme file. Rename to *.cab. Extract reg, and use that as your base. Prefer classicblue myself. Now get a pic you want, convert to your resolutions, create a cab with it, and insert reg!
EDIT: If you search using the link in my sign, you will find the answers. It has been discussed in detail before.
I just figured it out that tsk files are actually cabs as you posted this! Wow, in all my years with Windows Mobile I never knew that!
How to "extract reg"??

Aaaaaayyyyyyyyy friend, I believed that you were speaking about the titanium, it(he,she) takes this, is to make and to modify, TSK
If it is it for what you look say it to me to know, thank you

It doesn't work properly for WM6.5.x.
Use WinCE CAB Manager to open the CAB of any theme you like and replace the graphic files with your own. You can also edit the TSK, if you want. Just learn by doing, I figured it this way as well .
This is my basic lesson of titanium, this one in Spanish

Im searching for the original transparent QVGA waitcursor. Please post .dll or .cab (or whatever file that will solve it)
(I installed .cab with new taskbar, wich is very nice, but i don't like the vista waitcursor that's included)
Just uninstall the the new taskbar.
Take the resource "shellres.96.dll" with ROMExtractor "attached"
Then you will want to extract the resources it's about 16 .bmp's
All info regards inserting into the new shellres.96.dll [TUT] Editing Resources .dll etc
Need any help feel free to PM.
thanks alot!
i know this post is old but i am in the same situation. just want my original 6.5 wait cursur back.
i have mcsilver color taskbar.
the only thing is, i cant extract, or edit or do any of the stuff you guys can...
since you already went through this.. is there anyway you can make it much easier for me to change mine? like a cab or something ?
I have been searching high and wide for a 6.5.x cab that will remove the soft key buttons but in turn leaving the text and bottom soft bar intact.
Please for the love of God, someone point me in the right direction.
Here's an example below of the soft bar with just text.
i think u can try the "transparent" softkeybar I made here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624874

VGA is same cab as WVGA
To keep the original WinMo icons, u need to also download the AddOns package from my theme.
First u install the softkeybar cab, then u install the addon cab to restore the original icons (don't remember the exact name of the cab... I guess something like "original icons" cab or similar)

Hi,
I created an icon set as a cab file. It works near perfect, but some icons don´t change. I´m wondering why
I used Win CE Cab Manager to create the cab.
Following Icons don´t change:
bing
the complete office icons (the outlook icon works)
in call recorder
flashlight
the folder icon messages
encryption
Does someone know why the icons don´t change?
Ben
I give up ´
I think i´ll releas the icon set as png files
use a regualr icon changer for those.. some things have multiple copys.. and the easiest way to attack them is brute force.
i know that, when i dont clear htc sense cache...
maybe this helps..

you have to erase the png files first then run the cab and all icons should change.
you have to add registry entries, as shown in the screenshot
my suggestion is to download my basic icons cab and replace the icons with those of your likings. make sure you keep the file names intact!
i use artemis rom which is very close to stock. if you use a rom with the icons organized differently, you'll need to change the registry entries accordingly.
pm me if you can't find your way
cheers,
antaed
@m0bmentality: Hell Yeaahh, you´re right but i´ll try it with the basic icon set of antaed
@mrkevinhall: Thanks for the tip, but i´ve tried this before
@antaed: Thanks, i´ll try it, maybe it works. I use the artemis rom, too

they are png files already, if you mean how to extract them: (with wince cab manager) go to cabinet>files>extract...
you will also find some qtc files, you don't need to modify those.
just extract the png files to a folder on your pc, replace them with your icons (use the same names!!!) and repack the cab.

yes but in my reply to benalive i'm referring strictly to how to unpack and replace the icons from my bull's eye basic icon pack cab.
but maybe i misinterpreted his last question and he wants to know how to get original icons from the phone instead. if this is the case i'm sorry for the confusion, my bad...
cheers
