The device has a lot of potential, but stay away till they have their ROM issues fixed. Poor memory usage, keyboard response and reports or poor cell siganl in US. other than that, the phone is nice. Gorgeous screen, nice keyboard feel and layout.
I got this phone today, man is it great....
I have this phone also. I'm really enjoying it.
Does anybody else think that this looks very similar to the recently announced HP 900 series.
My second question, How good is the build quality.
Regards

HTC TOUCH 2 question.

Hello everyone that's my first post .
I ve got question about HTC TOUCH 2 .
Is it possible to change the possition of screen from vertical to Horizontal by pressing any button or something?
I ve noticed that this pda doesn't have the sensor ,also I have heard that's possible when registry in WM will be edited
I know it is your first post so I will be nice, if you want to get along here and be welcome, you need to understand that this is a library of knowledge, not " tech support "
You need to search for info yourself and post in the appropriate forums.

Your one freebie, welcome to the forums.
What much of an upgrade is the Touch 2 to the Touch? Same screen res, same screen size, 128 mhz better processor (original touch can OC that and more while staying stable). Only thing I can think of is double the RAM, and wm 6.5. Care to help me out with others?
thank you very much ,I really appreciate your help
Cheers

528 MHz vs 201 MHz (that's more than 128mhz difference)
ROM 512 MB, RAM 256 MB vs. ROM: 128 MB, RAM: 64 MB (that's more than double)
Camera 3.2 vs. 2 MP
The Touch 2 also comes with internal GPS (which the first one doesn't have according to htc site), 3.5" audio jack, zoom bar and of course more recent software (WM 6.5 and TouchFlo)
it's a hell of a difference! I have a HTC Touch on my desk, you can't use it anymore today.

Help for the Blackstone (HTC Touch HD)

(Before saying I should post this in the Blackstone section, keep in mind that I want not only the Blackstone users, but everybody to know about this)
Hey everybody,
So, I have a HTC Touch HD T8282 and, well, there isn't simply development for this poor phone. You see, this phone is the father of the masterpiece HTC HD2, but unfortunally, nobody as this phone, so there isn't development on this phone. The only OS being developed, without counting the Windows Mobile ROMs, is Android. Maybe we should just try to evolute this OS, since wp7 can't run on this phone, but the problem is that, right now, Android only boots from the SDcard (HaRET).
I've made this post on the General forum, because it's the only way I can make people to know about this.
I really want to flash some good Android ROMs on this device, but I have no idea of how to do this, and there is nobody doing it anyways!
I just want people that have Blackstone to try to make some development for the device, or if they can't, just donate it! If you want to donate, talk to me. The best Android avaiable for it right now is the FRX07.1 build.
Please help this device!
Also, please donate to the XDAndroid Project, which provides Android also for Rhodium, Raphael, Kovsky, Topaz and Diamond.
