As per the subject, this is the DREAIMG.NBH for the UK TC5-RC8 release.

Restore has been tested on my G1.
any chance of getting an earlier NBH?
Possibly not from HTC - looks like they've only got the latest releases on their repo.

I thought if we knew the version number of the release maybe it's up there just not linked and we could manually grab at the full url.

That is implied by my first line in my OP...however that is what an RUU is, haha
It's used to fix your phone or return it to stock to restore to factory defaults.
It looks like both the HTC and the Sprint support download sites do not have this posted since both support sites are still showing MR 2.27.651.6 and not this 2.31.651.7 file. Strange.
So, is your 2.31.651.7 Update file rooted???
No this is the official ruu...

No, they're two very different things, and it's critical that readers be aware of exactly what those two things are.
The OP posted a link to Sprint's executable RUU that takes your phone to the latest factory release, and breaks root if you're rooted.
The link you posted is to a zip file containing a rooted rom released by nfinitefx45 based on the latest Sprint update, along with a custom OC'd kernel he released specifically for that rom.
I have been rooted almost a year and haven't really been keeping up with rooting new RUU's. Is this newest one rootable by the FreshKitchen? I remember reading how Sprint removes root methods with updates.
I need to take mine in for warranty and want to make sure I can get CM back.
I am currently running CM6 Extremely Blue but was wondering if .7 is rootable via the one-click apk or other method just in case I ever run this on my phone for some weird reason.
Thanks. Was looking for this. I have to return my hero to sprint due to dust under the screen issues. Just hope they don't send me a refurbished more crappy than the one I have.

If worse comes to worst you can flash back to the previous RUU and re-root from there.
The new rooting method works with the update I believe.

I never trust the oneclick root, but if it is not working then contact the developers and see if they can fix it. Try the long method

I would just find the previous RUU files posted around here, run one of them and root from there. And you can always downgrade the RUU when you get your new one from Sprint.

You can not roll back to the previous version ruu after installing this. So after installing this I believe there is not way to root the phone until a "root" is released for this version.

Well mine is not rooted either mine was made specificaly for the one that have an S-OFF hboot, it will restore just like the ruu, just you can do it all from within your phone by flashing it from hboot. This is much easier for the S-OFF group of people out there that may been to take there phone in for service.
Hope that is clear to everyone

Nfinite, I think you're a little confused here. Please click on PTown's link. It takes you to the first listing in your sigline, which is your rooted version of Sprint's latest release, wherein you posted:
NFX Sprint 2.31.651.7 STOCK Deoxed/Odex
This is the New Update from Sprint this is a completely stock rom with everything from the factory included.
Included Extras:
Rooted
Busybox
SU
wireless tether
I believe you're thinking that PTown's link takes you to your RUU release, which is the second listing in your sigline.

There are two donut updates, they are incremental. the first one takes you from 1.5 to 1.6 build DR92, you need to apply this one first.
http://android.lucidrem.us/_fd.php?file=files/signed/USA/DRC92/signed-opal-DRC92-from-COC10.1c95e995
After that is applied, then you apply the one you already tried, the DR92 to DMD64 update.

Cool! Pardon my Newbness when it comes to the HTC world. ( came from Moto). So if I install the update in FBOOT I would just rename the update and put it on the SD card and let FBOOT do all the magic? Also will it wipe data?
Just a thought here... i updated weeks ago with the leaked ruu and if i check "about" software, it says .7. My girlfriends phone says the same. Both rooted and running different roms and kernels. how does that happen? Lol.

I may not be correct, but I think the rom devs use certain software in each of their roms. So some roms are based off the .7 and others are still based off the .6
So if you and your girlfriend both have the .7, its because both roms are based off that.

That could be it. I got the server URL for the guy that did the S7 one by just going into /data/data/com.ws.dm (the data folder for our system update app, you'll have to find the package name of yours) and looking through all the files. From there it seems he looked at the desc.bin that it downloads to get the URL of the actual update package, but I don't know what he did after that to find the other files.
I believe this is an alternative possibility of getting the same result. Also it IS possible. Atnt got their software early by using this exact same method.

Yes I got that. Didn't mean it as you probably read my remark. I go to the oldest firmware as Odin doesn't let me flash any newer versions, I believe it's 4AP.... and when I do it from there it only updates me to APK1..... I just try and go back every so often to see ifor it'll work. Thought I'd repost my results thinking it be OK but I won't any more. Doesn't seem like anyone has been able to get this to work either. If some one has it would be nice to know if they were able to. I'll just wait for the update to go out from Samsung when they decide to release it.

As long as att releases Oreo. If not this version can be ported to support the other variants. If a dev is up to it. Hopefully. Then the v20 can also receive lineage 15.1
Edit: sent an email to LG inquiring about a possible att oreo software update. Basically said they had no plans in the immediate future and to contact att about it instead
I will port Oreo to the H910 if AT&T doesn't release it. I can't do it for other models since I don't own them. Well, I will TRY, but it is hard if you don't have a device to test on....
I know I can *PROBABLY* do it for the H915, H910PR, the VS995, and the LS997

Sorry to say that but LG has a very lazy software development team

Maybe they accidentally leave a loop hold in the oreo version. I mean we pay for the device why lock us in. I mean if you have the warranty it's up to you to root and lose it but if you are already out of it then they should just let you do what you want but if anything happens it just on you.
