I had some media files (2 albums) stored on the Device memory. I cut and paste to the storage card and now the media player won't play anything, and it won't recognise new albums on the storage card?
Error message is...
We're Sorry....
A problem has occurred with AudioManager_eng.exe.
I have tried a soft reset but no luck, is there a way to reset the media player to default in anyway? or reload the sw?
I am using XDA Serra.

Bump.......does noone know how to fix this?

Same issue with me. I'm using NATF's 2.3 on the Fuze.
re
Well I am using S2P now which is working really nice, and is better that the Touch Flo player, although it doesn't have a playlist option.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=417511
However I would prefer to get the TF version working, even if I won't use it much now.
Cheers, Blair
I'm not sure but if you don't sync youy music library trough media player on your pc you're not be able to see it in Touchflo media player...
So try to sync some music this way or scan trough wmplayer to update the library, maybe this way TouchFlo media player show the list.
However I used to refresh the Touchflo music library deleting the folder called HTC under Application Data Folder at the root.
Reset the unit.
Just because TouchFlo does'nt seem to refresh any change made if I keep the same name on playlists or make modifications on albumart.
Hope this help! But I really recommend conduits Pocket player as the best player (lyrics, bluetooth, fullscreen albumart, equalizer, dsp, etc.)
TF3D Music player..
Thanks! Just downloaded the Conduit Pocket Player. Still wish I could use the TF3D interface to this or WinMediaPlayer. Maybe will be addressed in future NATF rom...
Jim
Anyone else have trouble w/ Pocket Player on the Fuze? It seems to 'skip' about once or twice a song, w/ no exceptions. I can't figure out how to fix that. Any ideas?

Need some help with 750V ringtones. I'm still able to load MP3 songs into the ringtones library, but the "preview" won't play and I can't assign the loaded MP3 to any notification. However, with other formats (MID, AMR) everything works fine. I've already tried several SR and one HR, but no way. Any clue? Thanks!

.mp3 files have to be associated with Media Player on your device or MP3 ringtones won't work.
You're right.....in fact, I've installed Pocket Music Player. I've just tried to uninstall it, everything went back working. Now I'll keep media player for Mp3s....too bad, but I'm forced to. Thanks anyway!!!!

You can still use Pocket Music Player, just look into its settings and turn off its file associations for .mp3.
Thanks man, will do. As far as you know, is there any other program that can handle MP3s without interfering with ringtones? 'cause I don't like media player very much....thanks again.
I have basicly the same problem. I installed Pocket DivX and i played some songs there. After a while i realized thatmy Palm didnt play mp3 ringtones anymore.
I tried to Uninstall the program but it still can be openedd, i dont know what to do.
Hi everyone,
Just got my Pro yesterday and generally loving it - with one major problem though.... I can't seem to add music to the device.
If I dump them straight on the memory card then TF3D music tab says "No Music Found", if I sync them over WMP11 to the device then it shows them - but no album art and their durations are all zero seconds. WMP won't play them either. They're just in MP3 format and play fine everywhere else.
Help?
In the TF3d music tab, click on the Library softkey. You should be able to find them in there (under artists, albums, etc). Once you select a song, it will then load into the TF3d music tab. Hope that helps.
Thanks, I can get them to show there but without album art and the duration is zero seconds... WMP Mobile shows an error "access denied" when i try to play them there, if that helps.
I have no problem accessing my mp3s, but I did not use WMP11 to sync them.
I just copied mp3s right onto my microSD card, separated into folders by album (eg: \Music\artist1\album1\song.mp3), with a folder.jpg image for the album art. TF3d/Library recognized the files and the album art with no problem.
Hmmn, tried that, still the same thing. Just hard reset the device and still a no-go. This is beginning to really bug me very badly (like sending the device back kinda bad).
Double post to update:
So, I find that I can add WMA files without a problem. So at least I have a viable work-around for the problem. This doesn't actually help me sort out what the problem regarding mp3s actually is.
I thought it may be something to do with the File Associations, that I broke them somehow by installed Coreplayer, but I'm less sure now that a Hard Reset didn't solve the problem. It still could be, I see others have had similar problems relating to the registry (although their problems always came after installation of a different media player, rather than on the devices stock ROM). Does anyone know where the pertinent registry values are, and what they should be? Or perhaps others have some different solutions?

Have you tried soft resetting and deleting the file
\Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\AudioManager_Eng.vol
before switching to the TouchFlo Music tab?
Found I've had to rebuild my library in this way each time new mp3s have been added.
(I assume the mp3 aren't DRM protected - copied a number over myself by mistake which caused a similar problem.)
Probably a silly question,
When i synced my phone with Windows media player 11, all the tracks went across but not the artwork. Having looked in the folders on my pc, i see that the folder has an image, but there is no image file to transfer to the TPro. How do i get the artwork across and does this have to be a manual process.
If the album art is in the folder and named folder.jpg it automatically picks them up ardsar.
Thanks for that Lazy Slug, I'll give it a go.

Fancy seeing you here, and sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread, it's a great forum eh!
im using vista with wmp v. 11 and wmp cannot see my touchpro even if it is connected (via bluetooth). i've got no problems syncing mails, calendars, etc. i just cant seem to sync audio files using wmp.
thanks.
Well, my problem is sorted (kinda). I backed up my mp3's to a different external hardrive, something has happened in that process that means they only work on my PC - my PS3 can no longer stream them, my N82 can't play them, my Touch Pro can't either. I'm still trying to work out how to fix them (although when I have time I'll dig up my old drive and see whether they work from there). So good news: nothing wrong with my PS3, N82, Touch Pro.
Regarding your issue dido-11 - have you set up the Touch Pro to sync in WMP11? Instructions are in the manual for how to, if you haven't already tried.
NZtechfreak: indeed, it's in the manual. sorry, quite excited to use it right away without looking at the manual.
fhsieh: thanks, ill try that method as well.

Did you try to reencode one mp3 in standard 128 (not VBR) and see if is played?
They're all constant bitrate, they work when converted to WMA. I don't think its a problem with encoding though, since they worked fine with everything previously.

I am syncing my music with Windows Media Player 11 - it syncs over fine and the image art is there when playing the music in the windows media player on the fuze, but not present in the cover flow app. Where are these images stored? There are no jpgs in the directories where the MP3s are.
I love my iPhone because it can be my media player and my phone. But, I need more functionality offered in Windows Mobile.
So, do you guys use your Windows Mobile device as a Media Player? Or do you have separate Zunes/iPods/etc. to do the work of the media player?
If you do use Window Mobile, let me know what program you use for your media!
TCPMP is an excellent media player. I have not found an unlocked audio or video file it could not play. If you search for TCPMP in this forum or in the XDA-Developers Wiki you'll find most anything you'd want to know.
That said, while TCPMP is a nice player, it is not an organizer nor does it have a fancy "choosing" function for selecting files. Perhaps someone could recommend an application that makes launching TCPMP more intuitive.
Both have their place
I've got a Zune 30 that I bring along when I know I'll want plenty of music to choose from. My main reason is that battery life on my Tilt is not what I'd like it to be because my 8 gig sd card has plenty of room for tunes, and S2P is one of the slickest programs I've ever seen. You would be comfortable with it immediately. I do listen to Audible content (newspaper) on my phone every morning with the Kinoma player. It's actually easier to get the content onto my phone than to get it on my Zune. Audible's manager program blows hard. The Kinoma player can handle pictures, video, and streams as well. I use it for Youtube all the time.
As an added bonus for us Zune owners, I recently discoverd that ZunePass subscription content can be synched to our phones with Windows Media Player and plays just fine in either WMP or S2P, so I have been putting more music on the SD card lately.
on those occasions when i only want to carry one device then I use S2P to play audio files on my Trinity.
S2P on the Tilt for music, TCPMP for movies. Done.
Is s2p free? What media formats does it support? Is it A2DP compatible? And does it have any way of controlling music in standby mode (Can you click the D-Pad while the screen is off to skip a song??? Can you control volume using the toggle switches?
Thanks for the tips guys!
I use the HTC Audio Manager, which has a very similar interface to the classic iPod. You can use the D-Pad to control it and the volume switch to change the volume (but I think the device has to be on)
It supports A2DP.
You can also control it from the home screen (http://www.unwiredview.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/htc-touch-diamond-official.jpg)
Kinoma Player
I've used this free program called Kinoma Player which is brilliant.
It has full touch friendly interface, it can stream youtube files, supports many other files, it's great overall, even has podcasts.
I'd recommend that program, you can get it off of Windows Mobile Total Access or from Kinoma's sight directly.
Hey, about the ZunePass stuff, my subscription music doesn't work on my T-Mobile Wing. Any clue why? probably cuz of the DRM's but you guys said urs worked, so it leaves me wondering.
Do you sync ur Zune music to your phone using Windows Media Player sync? Or do you just drag & drop the music to ur card?
Sync the ZunePass content through WMP
and it should work. At least that is what works for me.
I just upgraded to the HD2 from the Touch Pro, but this problem occurred on both devices.
I have 5 playlists with 400+ songs in each. Last week these worked fine in WMP mobile. The day before yesterday, I installed a new 6.5.3 based ROM on the Touch Pro. When I clicked the same playlists, WMP mobile would stop responding. I didn't really bother try to fix this, as I knew I was changing phones soon anyway.
Today I got the HD2 and the same thing is happening on it. Stock O2 ROM.
WMP plays music fine when I use the library to go to all music. But the playlists cause it to crash. I have no idea why. Core player can open the playlists fine.
Anyone have any ideas? Why are these playlists suddenly causing problems in WMP mobile since upgrading WinMo on the Touch Pro or using the HD2?
Thanks
Maybe some corrupt music files?
Did you try playing from HTC's manila player?
The manila player also plays the individual songs fine. If I choose a playlist in Manila player, it appears empty.
Core player plays the playlists fine however. I have resynced the playlists on my PC and I performed a disk check on the SDHC card.
I don't get it
I have a HTC touch HD and the media player works fine on mine as well...it could be corrupt files...
I dont think its the HD2s fault either, since the same happened on the Touch Pro I had. The only thing they both share is a newer version of Windows Mobile, but that shouldn't cause it either. I have deleted and resynced the playlists, but still WMP crashes.
Also, the playlists work in Core Player.
Ok, so I opened one of the playlists in Notepad and deleted all the entries except for one song. When I then opened that playlist in WMP, it worked.
This problem is pretty complicated since it works for coreplayer...
Maybe just some code which is not used in coreplayer, but used in WMP, was corrupt.
Have you tried making new playlists?

I just formatted the SDHC card, and am now re-syncing everything. I've created a new smaller playlist and will try that out when its done.
I did edit one of the larger playlists down to about 20 songs before I formatted, and that opened fine.
What I really don't get is why this worked last week on my WinMo 6.1 Touch Pro. Same card, same files.
Pretty weird. But I can't help you any further.
I'm finished putting all my songs and playlists back now. The same thing is happening though.
I added a top 50 playlist, and that works fine. It's as if there is some limit that causes wmp to crash. But the same playlists worked on my non-updated Touch Pro.
I can't figure this out . I've tried everything I can think of. Reformatted the card and hard-reset the phone. Any player other than Windows media player than I've tried opens the playlists fine. Windows media player opens all music fine, and the smaller Top 50 playlist, but crashes on the others.
I much prefer wmp because of its ability to search the now playing list so well, aswell as the A2DP controls working while sense is enabled.
I wish I could get this fixed...
Hi folks,
I've been trying a couple of ROMs to breathe new life into my old Tornado Noble, but have run into a problem with Media Player 10. Same issue on WM6 Platinum SP1 and Gregory's 6.5.
Some music tracks just will not play. I used the desktop media player to sync them (all mp3) with no issues, i've tried re-coding them to 128Kbps, and copying them over, but the same tracks just give an error. They play fine on all the PPC versions of media player mobile, just not on this smartphone version.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any pointers!
*I re-coded to WMA128k and everything plays, which i'll use as a workaround. But, i'd still like to find out why MP10 has difficulties with some mp3s and not others (same album).

perhaps it is because the source filter for WMP was not loading properly! you try it with this application, maybe it can fix and do too little change in the registry like this -> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ UIPlugins\{D7D08B8C-E755-4fa9-8E79-139FA379E00E}]
"FriendlyName"="HTC WMP Control Plug-in"
"Description"="HTC WMP Control Plug-in"
"Capabilities"=dword:0 --> change it to = 1
after that soft reset your device....
Thanks for the effort Hakim, but that didn't help. WMP just seems determined not to like mp3s.

Really? then you should try to use the application free MP3/MP4/M4A/AAC/WMA/WAV/M3U/PLS/ASX v0.83 S2P player. It simply lets you browse your music files play &. It is fully integrated with S2U2; & supports A2DP AVRCP &.
go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556885 to get it
Not sure if S2P (Slide to Play) will work on a smartphone without touchscreen. You may wish wish to check out tcpmp as well. Commercial products are also Coreplayer or PocketPlayer.
There may also be something weird with these special MP3 that don't work. Can you find anything in common for those that do not work? Lookup some mp3 checker program with Google. You could also upload a faulty track here (or at mediafire or alike) so we can check that with our devices/ROMs?
