All about my iphone payg - mms settings

i'm in UK now.
i've got my o2-iphone payg sim card
for it's unlimited data blot-on
and then i insert the sim card into my touch pro2 (T7373)
and after that i find that it can work well to access the internet
but it's still some problems in sending and recieving mms
Can anyone help me how to get settings for MMS ? thx a lot
lol i doubt you will get any help here for you iphone (you have entered the dark side ) because this site mainly deals with htc devices lol.....
Id have a word with your provided because from what i can gather from you post, you have problems no matter what device you put it in.
yes~i mean the settings of mms for my touch pro2 with a iphone sim card~. can you help me that?~thx
does ur tp2 not bring up connection wizard to auto do the settings?
Have u gone onto o2 site and searched for the manual settings? You can always get the settings from ur iphone settings section? It should give u the access point name etc
ye~i have tried the connection wizard, but it was no use.and o2's website doesn't support the details about that .and i find that the apn\username of an iphone sim card is quite different from other os'2 payg sim card,so i'm quite confused....

No internet when using Rebel sim card

Hi friends,
I recently bought a HTC HD2 locked to T Mobile in UK. I used a Rebel sim to unlock it and I am now using it on O2.
However I am not able to start internet, neither can I receive settings from O2.
The message that gets displayed tell the phone as pre set T Mobile internet settings and these cannot be changed
Is there anyway I can bypass these? Anyone else faced same thing before?
Thanks
Metal
can't you manually change the apn to that of o2?
Rudegar,
Thanks for your reply.
I cannot change the apn as all the settings are for T Mobile and I cant change them.
I tried using all the settings but no use. I can start the internet using Wifi but not through operator internet.
When I go to the new connection set up I am asked to select country (i select as UK), then I am asked to select operator and only option I have is T - Mobile.
Besides when I click on any browser, I get the T Mobile flash screen and then the browser starts.
I get an error as I am not a T Mobile customer. I have a link for settings there. When I click that it says -
This connection is pre configured. It cannot be modified.

GSM Settings While in Ireland

I have a Verizon TP2 and have unlocked the SIM. I'm heading for Ireland next week and have purchased a prepaid GSM SIM for use in Ireland. Do I need to reset any of the Phone Settings on my TP2 or will it automatically make the changes when I insert the SIM and turn it on in Ireland. Thanks.

i am using sprint TP2, easy switch to GSM network, just go to setting/connection management/phone setting/network
choose GSM ONLY, then system will search GSM network automatically
remember insert GSM SIM card in the phone first
You will have to get data connection setting for the prepaid provider if you want to use your data connection

That is what happend to me with my VZW TP2 in Greece.
Switching to GSM only worked for the phone but I need settings for SMS and Data.
Got the settings but VZW put some kind of lock on the connections settings app. My settings would always revert back to the vzw settings and I would always get connection failur pop up.
Got back home and found online some details about "CMGaurdian"
This program either locks the conection manager or imediately reverts changes back to stock. I think you may need to disable this in registry to enable data and out going sms reliably.

SIM / APN history?

Something that's been bugging me for a while:
I have an unlocked Touch Diamond -- I once used another operator's SIM card while my number was being ported. Ever since, even after hard-resets, MTTY and many different ROMs and radios, Connection Setup has offered me two setup options: one for my network (Orange UK) and the other for the network I once used (Blyk).
So, even though I haven't used the Blyk SIM in months, I am still being offered connection settings for it automatically and the network doesn't exist anymore!
Does anyone know where this history of networks/APNs is stored and if there is a way to clear them? The only real solution as far as I can see is that they're stored on my Orange SIM, but I can't work out why it would store the Blyk settings...
Thanks.

[Q] Unable to use 3G on unlocked HTC Desire

Hi,
I am unable to use 3G on htc desire. I have set the correct APN. The problem is that when I choose "WCDMA" as the network mode, it automatically switches back to "GSM only". The place where I live has no problem with 3G availability. I feel the problem lies more with my handset. Can someone please help ? Is there anything that I can do to get rid of this problem. My phone has lost its warranty since I unlocked it.
Have you tried any other operator sim card? It's a good troubleshooting to do when this kind of problems happen...
Had problems like that before and it was an incorrect APN setup.
Thanks for getting back. I tried with a different sim and a different operator. They were also not successful. APN setting is perfectly right for the current sim. The APN settings were given by the operator.

Are you using any kind of widget to switch APN on / off, 2G/3g ?... I noticed that for example, Widgetsoid can mess with 3g connection so much that sometimes you need to remove it and reboot the phone so you can get things working again.
Try using another SIM card too. It may give you a clue on what's going on: wrong settings / card with no data activated / etc ...
I am not using any widget to turn on/off the 3g. EDGE services work on my mobile while 3G is not working. If I use the sim card on to a different mobile, 3G works fine without any problem. Tried using another sim card with 3G data activated and that also did not work fine for me on HTC Desire.
