Is there any solution to unlock my T-mobile HTc HD7 for free ? There are indeed a lot of websites to provide this solution, but not for free unfortunately.

I'd like to know as well...I've mostly used CDMA devices so they were always kind of locked I guess...
if you got it subsidized through tmous, they make you wait 60days usually for a free unlock code. Why shouldn't they? If you bought the device subsidized, they have a right to make that money back.
If you bought it outright, they should just give it to you.
I'm talking about buying it outright...
Has anyone come up with a solution to this yet? I am interested in going out of the country in the next month and would like to slip in another sim card while I am out. Thanks! 8)

You just forked out for a really expensive piece of kit. Is it really going to break the bank to pay 19 euros to unlock it?
If you're going to buy the HD7 from T-Mobile at full price you can ask T-Mobile for the unlock code. You just have to fax them the receipt.

I just got mine a few days ago and requested a code using a friends prepaid account. I did that so that they would process it as if I bought it flat out and process it for me. Expecting results tomorrow and will keep posted
Edit: code came in this morning. Whole process took less than 24 hours. Now using my hd7 on att's network.
Also needing an unlock method that is free or very cheap and doesn't require me to ask Tmobile for it.

I am not aware of any sites that work to SIM unlok your phone. What I can contribute is that if you SIM unlock your HD7 through T-Mobile, you will need to have another provider's SIM to complete the process.

Unable to Install xap files in my htc hd7 phone

I bought htc hd7 phone. I have windows sdk kit and when i tried to install xap files. It says phone must be developer unlocked. I checked chevronwp7 site they stopped downloads of unlocker app. can anyone help me how to unlock my phone so that i can install xap files?

why don't you pay a little bit,try chevronlab unlock it's only USD9 ONLY.If you really want FREE wait long long till someone create free unlock (if there is)

Two ways:
1-Call T Mobile and ask them nicely to give you the code....if unsuccessful at first hang up and try again.
2-Go to EBay and search for a seller with a good background and get it from them.

Hi, Just contact T-mobile service. Sure they'll help you to unlock your mobile. Else get an unlock code through online service.. To get code you need to provide your mobile's IMEI number, country and network it is locked to. If you wish to get code through online service means, i would suggest you to get unique unlock code for your HTC Wildfire through SuperUnlockCodes.com at affordable price. So I'm heading to Scotland in May on the 20th and was hoping to unlock my new Sidekick 4G before the trip but it seems Tmobile has not updated their systems with the proper unlock codes for the newest device. Samsung has agreed to help me but I need to provide them T-mobiles NCK or Network Control Key. After trying to take to T-mobile to get the key they simply tell me they cannot provide it and will simply input my request to unlock.
Has any one had any luck yet unlocking this or maybe know the NCK that I need to have Samsung do it for me?

I'm no expert at unlocking phones, but gutty posted a suggestion: this thread.
It may be possible to do it this way, but I wouldn't be for sure. On the sk4g, the nv_data.bin is located in /efs/root/afs/settings/nv_data.bin
Yeah, if someone could attempt the process at the above mentioned link that would be great. Your other option is to use a third party to unlock the sidekick. unlockallcellular.com is supposed to offer an unlock.
My sidekick will be arriving this week, from the States, so hopefully an unlock will be coming soon. If not, I will try the third party i mentioned and report back if it works.
I don't mean to thread jack, but does anybody know if this phone will be on any other carrier other than T-Mobile? I have AT&T, and I want to get it, but I also want the 3g to work also...
i tried the unlock process... no luck tried to get code from unlock freedom also no luck i need the phone unlocked asap because my gf leaves the country in 2 weeks.

Its Totally unlockable by code!
BUT you will need to get the code from "Samsung manufacturer" method rather than tmobile. Tmobile database will not have the NCK code.
Try cellunlocker.net , but it can be pretty pricey to unlock that fine pie of machinery

So just wanted to update everyone whos wondering I contacted T-mo a 2nd time after not hearing anything for a week. They re-submitted my request and within 48 hrs I had my unlock code and did the deed with no issues. Hope this helps those in need.

Do you just call customer service and ask for an unlock code?
YES Tmobile will give you the unlock code for any phone on the following prerequisites
1) that is was used on a Postpaid LINe simcard for a week
2) you fax them the receipt that you bought any tmobile phone unlocked
this is how i did it with my LG Optimus T i got last easter prepaid at $158

Order was placed, 5/3/2011, received my code, 05/12/2011. Worked fine.
I was a bit upset with the turnaround time, but they blamed T-mobile's database for that.
So, if any of you are unable to have T-mobile unlock the device for you, the company above, can do it fine.

If you bought yours from the T-Mobile store like me, they said I had to wait one week before they would give me an unlock code.

Thanks. I actually had to drive quiet a ways to the tmobile store because we dont have one in town so Im hoping it doesnt have to come to that.

I'm New To This Forum and yes i know there is people asking about this but ive been searching for days now to find a free unlock code for my htc hd2 i am not a tmobile customer and never have been my whole family has never been either so i can not get a free sim unlock code that way i know i can buy them but right now cash is very tight and i really want to use my htc hd2 as a phone but im att so i can not do that.....so what im really asking is there a true way to unlock your htc hd2 for free 100%... if not i would really appricate if a tmobile customer could get me a unlock code for my htc hd2.

No, you can't get a code for free if you're not a T-mobile customer. Get a code on ebay, they only cost 6-10 dollars..

I just bought a locked HTC ONE MINI on VIP network in Macedonia.
I'm trying to unlock it without sucess and I used 2-3 sellers but when I enter the code that they gave me it says "wrong password".
I was wondering if any one knows a good method or online seller that i can get code from?
