Hiya boys and girls! Ok... just put Tommy on my 650 but... i'm told there is a program called FAKE CURSOR available in which to enable simplicity when it comes to setting up, for example, speed camera alerts and the ability to manage them, among other things. Now, i've GOT the programme, read various bits and bobs about it via Google, but, i can't find any help as to how you assign keys or link it to the tomtom itself. Shortcuts needed maybe??? Anyone got a step by step gide at all please? Sadly after selling my Kaiser (lack of funds at the time!), i can't do it on that and edit back over any more.
Any help would be awesome.
Yes i realise you CAN use the tomtom without this FAKE CURSOR but... personally, i'd prefer to use it with it to save mucking about going back and forth if errors are made. Let's face it, if you type in a postal code incorrectly, you have to go back and start again as you can't delete the error can you.
Anyway, shout up and shout loud cus this one would be a help to us all if someone has the right answer!
Cheers, Steve

its simple
what i do is put the fake cursor exe on the storage card somewhere and have a long keypress of the voicecall button run it, and it works perfect together with tomtom.
remember to exit fake cursor you need to press the home key, but then you can press back to back to tom tom.
i have attached the fake cursor exe, and the shortcut to enable the long press of the voice call button (long_poc) to run fake cursor
at the moment the shortcut (long_poc) is directed to ""storage card/fake cursor/fake cursor.exe", BUT if you want to change it create a new .txt file and drag the shortcut to it, then edit the path, and then save, job done.
if you need any help, post!
PS remember to put the long poc file in the /windows/ folder!

Okies! Got all that after a few brainless moments with creating a folder called Fake Cursor (the space messed it up!!!) but there's just one thing that i'm not 100% sure of. Is it supposed to leave a 'snails trail' effect as you scroll up/down/l/r etc etc? Mine looks a bit odd! Ok it works and that's cool cus now i can finally set my camera alerts up and sort my COM port to but... well, it it supposed to do that? Just wondering!
Thanks for the help so far. I'm sure others may have found it useful when Googling etc etc.
Thanks, Steve
P.S. Ignore the Private Message! You'll see why when you read it! ha ha ha
Forget TomTom.
It doesn't support the smartphone hardware keys and FakeCursor is a crime to use.
Try Route 66 (Navigate 7) or Sygic McGuider (7.52).
Both work perfect on the Vox and have updated maps.
Getting pandora Radio to work on HD2 ( for WVGA devices )
-If you intall the new pandora radio cab for VGA devices from the pandora website you would need to pay for the service
-If you Install the old pandora cab the buttos are all over the place and their too small
This guide is for fixing all of that and gettig it to work properly on your HD2
(UPDATE)
You can just Download the .cab file from Here
Then go to >start>settings>Personal>Buttons> and assign the Send Key(Hold) Under> 2. Assign a program: and select Input Panel.
Assigning that key is for enabling the keyboar as the keyboard is not going to pop up automatically after assigning the key just press and hold the send/green phone button and the keyboard should pop up so you can type in your login info.
OR TRY THIS
1. Download VGA Pandora Files.zip from Here
2. Unzip it and copy the 4 files to your SD card
3. Open file explorer and Install the pandora cab, advance config tool cab, you will need Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 to install avanced config tool so if you dont have it already in your phone install the NETCFv35.wm.armv4i cab
4. Open pandora radio from the start menu and enter your credentials or create a new acc (dont skip this step becuase if you leave it for last you wont have a keyboard to enter your credentials so you MUST DO IT NOW) once you are logged in you will nottice that the buttons are all over the place dont worry about that and close the pandora app
5. Open Advce configuration tool from the start menu and navigate to Network>TCP Window and change the value to 98304
6. Save your changes, and soft-reset.
7. Go in to file explorer and replace the orginal pandora.exe (in \Program Files\Pandora\Pandora.exe) with the pandora.exe from VGA Pandora Files.zip (the last of the 4 files I asked you to move to your SD)
8. ENJOY
Seems to be a problem for UK users to access the service - copyright issues. So I assume this is for US only... unless anyone knows differently.
thnx everything worked except that u can't create new stations because there is no keyboard. is that how its supposed to be? I mean ill settle fir this tho its better than nothing at all. thnx anyways tho. still great.
...or you can get the WVGA version for the TP2. Am I missing something here?
http://fluffyphones.com/fluffy-apps/pandora-htc-touch-pro-2-rhodium-wvga-windows-mobile-download/
That's what I have and it works excellent on the HD2 -- buttons and everything. The only problem that I encounter is that I can't seem to receive incoming calls when Pandora is playing.

Go into settings. Menu -> All Settings -> Personal -> Buttons.
Change "Send Key (Hold)" to "<Input Panel>". (you prob have to change the other "Button"s to different assignments. I changed them to random things and haven't encountered any problems yet) Exit out.
Now when pandora needs you to type, just long press the Send key and the keyboard should popup.

I installed the CAB but I can't seem to get into "settings" as described above. Is "Menu" located somewhere while Pandora is running?
Works but is u-ugly
Great setup, works wonderfully. Is there a way to make this appear more formatted to the HD2 screen? Everything is bunched at the bottom for controls and the images are to right overlapping in the middle.
Thanks all!

I don't believe you can. I wasn't meant to be used on the HD2 large screen.
Still trying to get keyboard
When i attempt to change the voice command to text input it doesn't stay. When i leave the page it goes back to voice command. Is there something I'm supposed to do? I tried double clicking but that didn't do anything. It just won't stay on text input. Can anyone help me?

Start/Settings/Personal/Buttons
Make sure the Button (Send key/Hold) is highlighted. Then scroll up to <Input Panel>. You should see the assignment change then hit OK.
If the Button is not highlighted it will not make the change.

I got this to work. First, I installed Resco Explorer (Free 7 day trial): at
(I tried posting links to each cab, but as a new user, I can't post links...sorry.)
Next, I installed Zoomer (German site, but the App is in English):
(Link Removed)
(Original Zoomer XDA post:
(Link Removed)
and I installed the Pandora TP2 app found here:
(Link removed)
After these three apps were installed, I opened Resco Explorer, and found the Pandora app that had been previously installed. When I opened Pandora from within Resco, the on-screen key to bring up the keyboard was present. I simply was able to click on each field in Pandora, and hit the soft key to being up the keyboard. Once I entered my login information, Pandora simply started to work. I then ended all programs, opened up Zoomer, picked Pandora from Zoomer's list, and did a soft reset. Now when I open Pandora from the WinMo honeycomb, I can pinch and zoom (and reposition the zoomed portion of the screen) to make things easier to work with.
I followed this procedure on both my and my wife's new TMoUS HD2s and the the Pandora works fine on both.
Good luck.
(P.S. I like the Resco functionality, so I'll be buying the program after the trial ends)

Sign up online first on say your desktop or laptop and then all you have to do is log in on phone and all your stations will be there.

This worked perfectly for me. From my HD2's HOME SCREEN (not in Pandora) I navigated to Settings, Menu, All Settings, Personal, Buttons to change Send (long press) to (Input Panel)
Thanks!
what worked for me
i just had the same problem. i just pressed the home key went to the task manager then selected pandora and when i went back the keyboard was there again. repeat process for all of the fields and there you go free misic. thanks for the great work guys.
The first post mentions "the new pandora radio cab for VGA devices from the pandora website".
I might be willing to pay $3 for a more *official* way of making Pandora work on my HD2. My question is: Where on the Pandora site is this $3 cab file? I can't find it.
fucntions perfectly, first time install without incident.
thanks for the work!

Hi everyone,
I've put together an 8 minute video guide that demonstrates how (using an FTP
server) you can transfer files between your Phone and a computer over a WiFi
home network (natively through Windows explorer).
I've tried to make it fairly beginner friendly and its available in all resolutions including 1080p:
You can view the video full size here: http://youtu.be/5EV9PfPXbz8
HELP & FAQ:
Applying the tutorial to an older Windows OS:
Windows Vista:
As far as I can recall, the method shown in my video should be virtually (if not completely) identical for Windows Vista Users. If you think I've missed something though, please let me know and I'll update accordingly.
Windows XP:
Mapping the Android FTP Server location in Windows XP should also work just fine. However, I don't think you can access the "add new network location" wizard in the manner shown in the video at 03:30 (I could be wrong). From memory - I believe you need to do the following instead:
a) Open 'My Computer' from the start menu or desktop shortcut
b) From the 'TOOLS' menu select 'MAP NETWORK DRIVE'
c) Click the link "Sign up for Online Storage or Connect to a Network Server"
d) Select "Choose a custom Network Location"
e) I think this should bring you pretty much back in line with the video at 03:45
Mac OS:
I'm not a Mac expert, but perhaps you can try the following...
Follow the video up to the point where I switch over to my PC (03:15), then try this on your Mac:
a) Press Command+K to launch the “connect to server” dialogue
b) Enter the Wifi/FTP URL from the phone app into the address field
c) Click on the “+” icon if you want to save as a favourite
d) Press Connect
e) Enter your Username and Password when prompted & press connect again
f) You should then be able to browse the contents of your phone as a local folder.
g) Rejoin video at 06:50
Web Browser:
Although the aim of this video is to avoid having to use a web browser, you can enter the 'WiFi URL' generated by the Android App (visible at 03:05) into the address bar of any FTP enabled web browser (eg. Firefox / Internet Explorer).
TROUBLESHOOTING
Worked Initially, then stopped:
If you were initially successful in getting everything to work, but some time later you find that you can't connect - this may be related to your router's DHCP configuration. Some routers allocate IP addresses on a dynamic/time lease basis. If your router is configured in this way, your phone's IP address may change every time it re-connects to your local network (thus invalidating the WiFi URL that we copied from your phone during the tutorial). If this is the case, you'll need to refer to your router's documentation and try to assign a static IP to your phone.
Error 550 (CHMOD):
If this error crops up immediately upon trying to access a location on your phone (eg. a sub folder), you have probably entered an invalid path in the "Stay Within Folder" field during the app configuration. Double check the path that you entered and make sure that you didn't accidentally deleted the preceding slash (/) too.
If this error only appears when trying to delete or move files, it could be a couple of things. Do check the steps mentioned in the above paragraph, but also remember what I mentioned in the video about avoiding paths that act as a shortcut to another folder. For example, don't enter "/sdcard" in the "Stay Within Folder" field during configuration of the app. On my phone, this results in read only access to the MicroSD card. I found that I needed to specify the full path (eg. "/mnt/sdcard") to obtain full Read/Write access.
Invalid Handle Error:
This error may occur when trying to move or delete files from your phone. If so:
1) Double check (in the FTP server setup on your phone) that you haven't added a trailing slash (/) after the path specified in the "Stay Within Folder" field.
2) You can also get this error if you start the FTP server, then launch an app that needs access to the folder containing the files you want to move or delete (eg. The Camera / gallery app). Simply exiting the app may solve this. If not:
a) exit your app
b) Stop the FTP server using the home screen widget
c) Restart the FTP server using the home screen widget
d) try again before launching your app.
No WIFI URL:
If you start the FTP server but don't receive a Wifi URL, double check that your phone's WiFi connection is turned on. This may sound obvious, but it could be an easy one to overlook.
Firewall Issues:
If you're convinced that you have everything set up correctly but you simply can't connect to the server - a firewall could be the cause of your problems..
If you're not familiar with firewalls, you may want to disconnect from the internet and temporarily disable your firewall completely to see if this solves your problem. If it does, at least you'll have a starting point. If not, you may need to look a little closer at any filtering rules on your router.
Unfortunately I can't help troubleshoot every possible combination, but generally speaking, you should double check that your internal network is configured as a trusted zone and that there are rules allowing (or no rules blocking) traffic on the required port ip / address etc. For example, 'ESET Smart Security' users will probably want to pay specific attention to the 'Network Filtering' options.
Good luck.
Bugsy.
Handy and very easy to follow. Nice vid and explanation. Everything went through without problems

Regarding AOKP 4.0.4, are you using a Galaxy SII / Nexus? If so, I think I've heard about people having trouble with widgets before. I think you have to drag them out of the widget draw instead. Does that make sense?

Hmm.. In that case I'm afraid I really don't know. Unfortunately I've never tested AOKP, so I don't have any first hand experience to go on.
Off the top of my head, my suggestion would be to try widgets from several other market apps and see if any of them act in the same way. I realise that won't solve your problem, but it could go some way towards establishing the source of it.
Best of luck,
Bugsy,

Thanks for your suggestion.
I’ve actually used AirDroid before, but while it is a great app in its own right - its file management capabilities only seem to go as far as letting you export stuff from your MicroSD card in a zip archive.
The method I show in the video is certainly more cumbersome initially (hence the reason for making it), but I find the end result more functional for simply copying/moving/deleting files.

I'm trying to print my card insurance and the phone won't find a printer, I already added at least 2 plug ins but, is not working. Also as you can see on pics I don't see the print icon on bottom only when I'm on gallery and obviously pdf files won't be there. I had to install a printer app for it to work. But, I want to know how you do it straight from file with the plug in like the way it works on iPhone 6.

It all depends on how you open the document. If you open the document in the gallerygallery click share, then on the pop up dialog scroll to the left (or right, depending) then share it to the printer you are on wifi with. But if you open it in say, Google pdf viewer, click the 3 dots then use the drop down up top and change it from save as pdf to the printer

Not that I'm aware of, although you can load the face on your watch and then take a screenshot (on the gear s2: hold the power button and swipe right). Then transfer the image file to pc and edit in photoshop or a similar program.
I haven't gone beyond the screenshots yet but it should all work. You might need to connect the watch to your home wifi network and then transfer the image file to pc via sdb though.
