Hi everybody ,
I dont understant too much that rom kitchen.
I saw many roms here but i am looking pure 6.1.
Is it possible ?
i also looking for
Well,I don't understand what you mean by pure 6.1 rom,if you are looking for vanilla 6.1 without any extra stuff or frills, then look for vanilla roms, which are provided by every cook.
But,if you want original 6.1 rom provided by Microsoft, then its impossible to get one, coz,Microsoft doesn't provide any rom to the general public at all,it only provides to its vendors and phone manufacturers, who add up their own stuff.
There is no manufacturer WM6.1 ROM available for the Wizard, all the 6.1 ROMs here are ports from other devices.

dose anybody here tryed or know of any Cooked ROM's for Treo 750 ?
dose any body here (Treo 750 Thread) Knows How to Cook ROM ?
Also waiting for some cooked ROMs
I used to have a Hermes which had alot of cooked ROMs. But it seems that the Treo 750 doesn't have any cooked ROMs. I hope that will change soon!
The reason is because no one, to my knowledge, has been able to come up with a functioning bootloader that will allow the Treo to accept unsigned ROMs. Cooked ROMs are obviously not signed by Palm, so by default they cannot be loaded in the device. This is a popular issue on this forum; have a look around for more information!
If possible, I would like to build a big storage WM 6 Rom.
GUYS...!!
Windows Mobile 6.1 out there.. check it out guys.. can we get it... can someone please dump rom or if you have it already can we start cooking.....please someone, can't wait to update.

Good job @bestever! This has been your first useful contribution to the forum. Keep up the good work!
thanks =D
about when will this come out for htc tornado
I wonder if Tornado would still be used as test device for new OS, the reason we have WM6 for our devices is because some internal WM6 tester for Tornado leaked the ROM for us, and Phil removed the ID, and others continued to improve it.
I wonder if WM6.1 is based on the same OS Kernel as WM6, then perhaps it's just the matter of porting certain files
I think WM6.1 is based on the same OS kernel as WM6.
CHOME will be standard, which is what the T-Mobile Shadow's Neo UI uses, and I think also what the cardwheel on Samsung SGH-i600 uses as well.
The CHOME stuff will take up a lot of storage so WM6.1 might fit in a Tornado, but just barely. I tried to port the Shadow ROM with CHOME completely intact, but ran out of space so I gave it up.
Does this Rom for PocketPC?
For cooking WM6.1 to Tornado we must have WM6.1 standart Rom.
looks amazing...
Finally a REAL update to the OS! instead of using loads of external apps!
The device I currently have does not have a good build(I think there is one but its terrible) at this point and time. So if I have wm6.1 you think it is possible to install wmp 6.5 on my device with out any issues? If so can someone please provide a cab for it.
roms are never in the form of cabs
roms have to be specially made for a device to work look in the wiki or the forum
of your device if one of the early beta roms of 6.5 is available for your device
I'm new to this forum and to flashing the ROM on my Wizard. This is a fantastic forum with a wealth of contributions, though it is rather daunting for the newcomer.
I have experimented with a couple of WM6.5 builds (RC4 and newer Beta), a 6.1 build, and the original 5.0. I find WM6.5 to be rather unusable. WiFi doesn't work well, TouchNFlo is intermittent, and everything is dog slow. 6.1 seems a nice upgrade to 5.0.
Are others having a similar experience with 6.5? Is it too much for this 3 year old device? I'm not sure what the advantages are, other than personal taste for user interface.
Another question (and excuse me for perhaps not doing a better search)--if I find a build I like, but want more than the "clean" version, can I easily add the missing pieces, such as Manila 2D?
Thanks everyone!
Hi! Glad you joined! With regards to your question....WM6.5 officially released on October the 18th so until then all of the WM6.5 builds were based on betas and RCs which usually have bugs and what not which usually end up being slow anyways...there are several 6.5 builds based of of the final/ release version which run fairly quick . WM6.1 has been out for a while now and is the best go between for WM5 and 6.5 as of right now and its highly recommended by me! Im not telling you to (because you should research and pick one on your own!) but i used X2Hs NSN WM6.1 with Manila 2D and it was blazing fast so you should look into that!Cheers!
Maybe try to overclock your wizard? I got H3r's WM 6.5 rom on my wizard. Overclocked to 260 Mhz, about 29-30 MB of free ram after reboot. It works better than some 6.1 roms i tested.
I installed X2H's new "iphone killer" WinMo 6.5 ROM and its BLAZING FAST even without overclocking.... i highly suggest you look into that!!!!!

in fact there are some cabs to add m2d (4 ex) htc home, etx.
and yes im using the iphone killer (wm6.5 based) and is really fast, no need to overclock (i think is no worth to overclock since the wizard work flawless with iphone killer and some others i have tried be4)
but 6.5 have a flexible interface so you wont miss the m2d (i prefer the htc home) but 6.5 is very nice..... and of course if you go to spb shell page there you can download very nice demos and get the best.good looking-funcional interface.
good luck!
p.s. send pm if you want more tips

Over / under clocking iphone killer rom
Hi there, how can you use dynamic over/under clocking with the iphone killer rom?
Download Homescreen++ and deactivate the Windows Standart Desktop Interface an select Homescreen++
Hello,
I have a Wizard phone - o2 minis s with WM5 installed, which i would like to upgrade to WM6. I went through some tutorials, but all of them mainly concentrate on ways to unlock the CID. Neither of them show where to take the WM6 ROM from or how to load it to the phone.
But anyway, i have done my research and found the fallowing comparison:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427328 and based on it, i choose the [5/Aug/08] TNT.20273 Series "BETA" (Vanilla/Official/Professional) Now, in it's description it says OS Version=20273, Windows Mobile 6.1 DIAMOND. What does the DIAMOND means? Is it some special software or will work only on certain devices?
Can somebody please tell me is it a good choice or maybe provide with a bigger list of available firmwares? What is the difference between chosen by me and the official microsoft distribution?
Thank you for your help.

You will find that many cooked ROMs have titles like Diamond, HD, Topaz, etc.
What this means is the chef modeled the ROMs UI after the Diamond, HD, Topaz, etc.
All OEM shipped ROMs are WM5.0, but if you choose cooked ROMs then you can have WM6.0, WM6.1, and WM6.5.
