Is there anyway to change the color on my message threads? I'm really not digging this blue and green business. Any help would be appreciated.
EDITING FOR SPECIFICATION: When you're in a thread, you're one color and the recipient is another color in the thread.
i do not know but heres another question
is there a way to have the list start with the latest incoming texts and not the latest outgoing?

When I recieve a new MMS message from someone in my contact list that I have assigned a picture to, the standard WM6 notification that shows the sender, and their photo comes in at the very bottom of the screen and it is half cut-off.
Hopefully this makes sense.
Is there any way I can fix this?
Thanks
Another bump...
Can anyone send me in the right direction (besides the search ) for this one?
hrm. which ROM? which device?

I have a kaiser with a stock ROM.
I'm sure this has to do with PCM, and S2V. When you use either of these apps to assign contact photo's the higher resolution is also shown on the notification bubble/window when you recieve an MMS message.
But instead of some sort of "auto adjust", the notification window comes in on the same place on the today screen, but the window is half cut off.
hehe... i think you answered yourself.

Yeah, I know what's causing it, but I want to know how to *fix* it without having to possibly reassign all of my contact pic's with the WM6 contact manager.
Is there something in the registry that can adjust where the notification shows up on the screen??
what i meant was... that you'd probably need to either use it as is or talk to one of the developers to see how to fit the pics differently... or it would throw itself back to different res.
Hey,
This might be a very stupid question, but I have no idea about how to change the clock text color into #F24400.
They used a 8 nummered color-code (#FFFFFFFF) instead of the usual 6, but when I change it, I always get a standard blue color. I looked all over the internet, but couln't find the answer.
Hope you guys can help me...
No one, wants to change the text colours? No one knows 'how to' either?
edit: Oke, I was able to change it into a red colour by using '#FF0000FF'. So it is possible, but does anybody know a colour-code list for 8 characters?
On this site there are a few

Thanks!
O, it's so simple. Just the normal colour code with 'FF' behind it.
Why didn't I come up with that. I tried adding a '00' or a '0' in front and a '0' in the back...
But anyway, now I know how it works.
would really like to edit some of my apps with the first on my list being the phone/dialer activity so that I can remap the left button on the dialer to *86 and not get a force close everytime I use it....can some one help me do this or at least point me in the right direction...I have the dialer looking the way that I want but that button not being functional is bugging the **** out of me. Thanks in advance.
Danny
Edit: I would also like to have some help changing the color of the in and out bubble colors on the stock messaging app since the gold and baby blue don't go with my theme anymore...want like a android green and cobalt blue but when I change them with gimp...the bubbles don't show up the right size I guess gimp doesn't edit .9png files properly

In WP7 Mango, is it possible to change the text size and icon size of notifications on the lock screen? Email, voicemail, texts, etc. show up as very small icons and small numbers below the date and time, too small for an old man like me.
I have a LG Quantum but I have seen other WP7 phones with small notifications so I am asking in general if anyone knows how to change it.
Even a response saying it can't be done [yet] would at least let me stop spending so much time searching for an answer for now...thx
Im pretty sure it cant be done

Hi old man,
I do not thonk it is impossible.
You need to search for "notification", "text" etc.. in the registry.

That was also my first thought. I can't find anything in the registry related to the font or text for notifications. Lots of keys about notification sounds, but that's it. I will continue searching because surely someone has done it. I took a sideroad and checked google images for mango lockscreens and - sadly - they all looked the same. I had hoped that someone had posted how they had modified their lockscreen, but no.
It is weird to me how MS uses these huge fonts that roll across the screen (e.g. people) but then makes notification text and icons in like a 2 pt font.
Hi. Any idea if it's possible to change what colour android decides a contact should be when they don't have a picture associated?
It seems completely random but I'd rather have people who I SMS a lot NOT be bright pink but can't find any way to change it in contacts or Google Messenger
Any ideas? Thanks
Well I deleted the contact(s) and re-added them and they got a new random colour...
Not the best solution for changing stuff...ho hum
Have you tried simply adding and removing contact pictures ?
The colors seems to be set per contact but changed to match the dominant color of a picture (if set)

I tried this but it didn't seem to work, the colors remained the same. Instead I uninstalled the app, changed all the relevant contact pics that I wanted changed in messenger to just solid color images of the new color I wanted, re-installed and opened the app, and all the changes I wanted were done. After that I changed the contact pics back to normal and this fix appears to have worked. I'm pretty sure it's most important that you have to open up the app at least once upon re-installing before changing your contacts' pics back, that way the app gets stuck in the colors you want. Anyway sorry if I'm repeating anyone else, just thought I'd offer my two cents. And of course besides this shortcoming it's still a really good app.
Latest version of messenger added color change for each conversation.
Still remains the contact as of in itself.
The varying colors of the contacts is not random on my phone (Galaxy S5).
Each time I add a contact it selects the next color in the sequence...
Blue, Green, Orange, Orange
Blue, Green, Orange, Orange...
It just looks untidy in the Contacts list, and I see no way of changing it - apart from adding a contact a few times until it's the color you want, and deleting the unwanted ones. You could also create some simple color pictures to assign to each profile picture (if you don't have their photo)
