My cant figure out how to do that. Just ring volume or vibrate. How do I get it to ring and vibrate? Hmmm...
To do this you go to Start>Settings>Phone>Ring Type then you select vibrate and ring..

Go into the Phone settings, and under ringtype select "ring & vibrate".
I'm hoping there is already and answer to this question but I long for the winmo days when i had the option to silent my phone without vibrate, now it seems the only option is volume up or silent with vibrate, sometimes I need the phone to be silent without vibrate, like when i'm interviewing or a in a training class and people near me don't need to hear my phone vibrate incessantly.
is there an option to put the phone on silent with no vibrate?
i've been using my wp7 hd7 for several months

settings - ringtones + sounds - turn both ringer and vibrate to off. should work.
You can disable vibrate there.. and to switch between ringer and silent press vol up or vol down and tap on the bell icon in the top right of the pull-down shade..
I wish we could go from vibrate to silent right from the volume control though....

I'm only using NoDo, but I'm pretty sure if it's set to vibrate, and I turn down my volume all the way, it won't vibrate at all.
Hey guys I need your help.... I've set the ringing to silent + vibrate ONLY (using the side rocker), but whenever there's a miss call, it'll remove the silent settings and increase ringing volume by 1. how do i resolve it? Thx

Try "Menu>Settings>Sound" and uncheck "Pocket Mode"
Pocket Mode increases the call volume when it's in a pocket I know that shouldn't count when on silent mode, but it might be a bug or something.
So, I've noticed something odd on my S3. If I put it in vibrate mode it will silence both the ringtone and notification sound. If I turn it to Sound Mode, the ringtone volume goes up, but the notification volume does not.
Any ideas on what to look for?

Hello guys
So it happened to me that I left my silent slide up all the way and forgot to bring it back on ringer mode and next day I missed the wake up call from work.
I tried IFTTT app and it can change your phone ring volume to 100 at the time you want but since the slider locks the ringer volume IFTTT app can't change the volume.
Is there anything to do about it so IFTTT app can change my volume even when the silent slide is up?
