ok, flashed.
Have problems with a lot of application (hhc, schaps ACTool, Cube settings - HTCustom; ecc):
Once installed, when i try to exe them it says me "non è un'applicazione PPC valida".
Why does it happen? Could it be due to NetCF 3.5?

Found a problem Maja, only one:
in program folder sometime it happens that a new "Program.lnk" (or more than one...) appears.
To delete it i have to cancel the .lnk file in "windows/startmenu/progammi... but after some usage or reset it happens again, till i get several "ghost program" icons...
It's again due to NetCF i think, can you fix it posting a cab please? I've just finished to reinstall all my apps and accounts...

How to flash on ELFIN
What You Need
- This Loader File http://rapidshare.com/files/146172083/Loader.zip
How To Flash
1
- Connect Your Phone To Your PC
- Vista Users Make Sure You Have Windows Mobile Center Installed And You Have Established A Connection
- XP Users Make Sure You Have ActiveSync Installed And You Have Established A Connection

- Now That You Know Your Phone Is Connected To Your PC Run The Loader File Which You Downloaded (Double Click On Click To Run.exe)
- After You Run The Loader File A Black Screen Will Pop Up On Your PC
- Follow The Steps 1 and 2 On The Black Screen (You Will Only Complete Steos 1 and 2, Step 3 Is Not Needed And Does Not Work)
- After You Complete Step 2 On The You Should Have An All White Screen On Your Touch
- If You Have An All White Screen On Your Touch You Are Done
- Now Just Run The ROMUpdateUtility.exe That You Downloaded With The Rom (Make sure your phone is in the white screen)

it should work on elfin this is a os only rom no radio, spl ipl or splash

It won't run on elfin (on mine at least).
I tried with several RUU, including (at first attempt) with the one provided in the archive.
I think it has to deal with the version number which is set to 1.00.... Seyia, on win-mobile forum (french) had the same issue with flash for elfin, while his rom was flashing with no problem on elf.
If you could renew your rom with an other version number, it should do the trick
BTW, i'd really like to test this rom

You can run the Page Pool changer or device_info.bat applications to view or change the PP size (see my sig).

ok i have flashed my elfin and so far it work well,include weather and youtube,i just test them a couple mintus ago. so thank you and looking for your final officially release

did you use the elfin friendly version?

hey, i just flashed my elf with this rom and everything works great. one problem i noticed was that when i press the volume button and click the volume icon it opens the battery settings and the signal icon opens the volume.. other than that its great!

that's the point I didn't use elfin friendly version but it work well,should it be a abnormal thing?
the only problem I encounter by now is when I slide tab to message, it can just display english character but other words like chinese are missing, any idea about it?

This is an amazing ROM! I have been taking a break from flashing new ROMs and glad I tried this. I haven't even loaded any other apps and may not. Great job!
So far I have not found anything I don't like - and that never happens! I prefer the PCM keyboard with my skin, but the one on this ROM is certainly acceptable and I will likely get used to it. The dialer is amazing. I have not seen that slide up and down to hide the commands before.
If there is anyone on the fence about trying this ROM - DO IT - DO IT NOW. I had no problems flashing using the ELFIN files on post one.

Actually, I do speak and read Vietnamese. Basically, he posted to alert people that he is working on manila 2D ROM, and was asking people for their input.
He is working on it, and will post the ROM soon.

That's normal for Youtube, it's a known issue so far for all Manilla releases.

Have more screenshots ?

I wanna know about NetCF which was built in this rom?
I need to use NetCF 2.0 but all roms use NetCF 3.5.
So I can't install NetCF2.0 because NetCF35 was built in rom.
How can i do?

Because of Uptodate, I need to use this program.
It's compatible with NetCF2.0.
I tried to use all 6.1 rom (with NetCF 3.5) that make Uptodate always show errors.
So I flash rom back to original 6.0 rom.
Actully I really love 6.1 rom but I need to use Uptodate.
Do you give me an advice for installing NetCF2.0 when NetCF3.5 was built in rom.

we r trying to run a program called "uptodate" - www.uptodate.com - it worked fine with me on windows 6.0, but in your ROM it can't read topics. The program appears to depend on IE and topics r contained in JAR files.
UR ROM is the best, but this program is the reason I bought a PDA from the first place!

Get Manila 2.5 CAB to work with stock roms!

Hey, posted this in the general forum too but I enjoy the new interface on my phone so much I wanted to share it. Just follow the attached instructions. If there any problems, just ask.
Please also note, landscape mode is activated by presing the "<" button on your phone
Known issues discovered after feedback:
1) Album searcher doesn't display videos
2) Music doesn't play when the screen is switched off
I have asked the creator of the cab file for help with these. Will keeo you posted.

Man, tks very much i was looking for a way to have manila without flashing my phone.
In the the tuto you must may be add that after the installation of the manila cab you will lose the settings icon. TO fix it we have to change the value of
HKLM / SECURITY / SHELL / START INFO / HideSettings from 1 to 0.
You can also specify that manila will only work on the an English ROM. otherwise we will face the IDS_ issue...
I can't still use the Weather do you know how to fix that ?

You can use Manila Language Manager to install other languages.

You can access settings by going to the settings tab and selecting "all settings". I never had a problem with weather but some people have. try installing the "disable location" cab. As far as other languages go, I have no idea.

- contact panel in manila does not make calls
