Synchrinization problem - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I connect my Pro to two PCs (work and home) to sync MS Outlook. At home I use Win Vista (mobilecenter), work WinXP (activesync). Had no problems when I was sync-ing only with XP at the begining. But after syncing with Vista, XP started to have problem (though Vista is fine) - showed some code error.
so I deleted pairing with Vista, did not help, had to delete also XP pairing and make new and all is fine as long as I connect to Vista as "guest" (no sync settings)
can anyone help? just note - XP is English, Vista is Czech language - I noticed that the names in activesync not correctly shown czech letters in options where are ticked items to bes synchronized

WM / WMDC & Vista / Live OneCare WM device not connecting

If anyone is having an issue with syncing their device with Vista pc running Live Onecare - it is NOT the device / Sync Centre or WMDC - it's Live Onecare 1.6.
After hard resetting my orbit, with pdaviet B&B thinking it was somehow related I found it was not the case.
The only work around is to
a. go into live onecare
b. disable firewall
c. connect & sync device
d. re-enable firewall
Everytime you want to sync follow the above steps!!! This is apparently a known issue.

Windows Mobile device Center on Vista has gone mad!

Hi!
I want to sync my HTC Artemis with my Vista Laptop.
The problem is that I cannot open Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows Vista.
When I run it, theres only this Connection settings dialog appearing... everytime i open it! Normally there should pop up this bigger green nice designed window with many function (one of them the connection settings)
So I can nothing do!!
Though I can connect to my phone by USB and Bluetooth (I can browse the files on the device) I cannot set up WM Device Center to pair for a Sync connection.
It is also strange that all my contacts, etc. were gone when I tried this first.
I think this is because I had my device still paired but installed Vista new on my Laptop.
Can anybody help me?
you should search first grasshopper, or atleast check the second page of this forum.

Have you tried downloading and installing WMDC 6.1?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...F1-E46A-4A5F-A791-09F07AAA1914&displaylang=en (Vista x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...56-7825-43B2-AC89-2030ED98ED95&displaylang=en (Vista x64)
you have to have outlook installed on you computer...vista does not come with it there for you can not sync your numbers...now outlook is expensive though...i also have a windows xp computer as well so i just keep syncing with that one...search for ns contacts as well...lets you back up all your #s to desktop then back to phone...google search it..
I have outlook installed
new installation of WMDC helped! thank you very much!!

s710 connects on Vista but not XP ?

Well, did a successful reflash from E650 to S710. Played with it a bit on my work machine thats Vista'ed. Now, i bring it home, plug it into XP machine and nothing...nada. ActiveSync 4.5 is installed (like 5 times over...). What gives ? Device is shown as connected in device manager.
*SORTED*
Disabled "advenced networking" thingamy in settings>connections>USB2PC and it started to sync as it was supposed to.
Before that tried to mess with firewalls, netlimiter, but that was not the problem apparently...

Can Diamond 2 sync with vista business X64?

just upgrade to vista business X64 SP1, it seems that it is not working with HD2, it shows autoplay when I connect it to my note book.
any advise from your guys?
Have you downloaded the latest version of Windows Mobile Device Center?
On your phone have you checked the USB to PC Connection settings? Is it set to Active Sync?
I have noticed that on Vista X64, when I sync, I have to make sure Activesync is NOT running on my device already when I plug it in. I go the task manager on my phone, and kill ALL applications, THEN plug it in. It takes longer than ActiveSync on XP did, but it eventually connects. Takes about 15-30 seconds for me in Vista X64 Ultimate, whereas on XP (other computer) it is instant, 3-5 seconds. Stupid Vista.

Fuze Not Recognized by Windows 7 Sync Center

My HTC Fuze (WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20772 (Build 20771.1.4.6)) syncs just fine with my firm's Microsoft Exchange Server; but, the Windows 7 Sync Center on my laptop doesn't recognize the Fuze when it's set to the ActiveSync mode. Meanwhile, there's no difficulty connecting via the Disk Drive option.
I've read the related threads and have disabled Faster Data Synchronization in ActiveSync. However, that doesn't fix it.
Other recommendations?
Many thanks.
