Windows Mobile 6 it's Freezing, I have a Tmobile Mda PRO and y flashed all the available wm 6 rom's and when someone give's me a short call and the pda it's in laptop mode in standby it freezes can anyone help me, when i flash wm5 no more problems ....
I don’t know about that but I never had that problem ever.

It is certainly a problem of ROM, change it. But before doing so clean well your DiskOnChip with mtty 1.42 and then use a ROM with Radio included .
I had that problem before. It's one of the programs or registry hacks you installed. It doesn't happen just after flashing a new ROM isn't it? It also doesn't freeze in PDA/portrait mode, isn't it?
Anyway, I isolated my problem to HTC Home (not HTC Homeplugin). Uninstalled it & I'm back to using this Uni (Vodafone V1640) mostly in laptop mode & in any of the new WM6 ROM releases!
Just sharing to give you a lead where to look into, our devices are all HTC Universals but it's been proven to behave differently from one another on different ROMs. For one this G3 device doesn't have the SD Card problems that others are having!
Besides, except for the Video call I don't see any reason at the moment to go back to WM5, WM6 is faster & as stable now as WM5!

Hi,
Can you try a new or another battery?
This solved my issues with frequent hangs.
I think these new WM6 roms are more "powerhungry".

I bought a used universal three months agn universal was wm6.1 rom but universal freezes and i have about a 10 resets per day,i tray to change rom and radio rom to some of wm6 but still device work very unstable,universal just freezes and when i reset he works normaly even i tray to flash wm2005 rom but i have same problem,i begining to think that problem on my universal is hardware is that posible,do anybody have eny solution or opinion on my problem,maybe i have to install some fabrick rom or somethung like that please help i just want to my universal work properly and i want to dont have a 10 even a 20 resets per day,help!!!

Could Be Hardware Or Software.
Could Be A Software Issue.
What Rom Are You Using And What Software?
HTC Home Is Known To Cause Lagging/Freezing On The Universal I Believe.
Also OverClocking G3 Devices Can Prove Unstable, Some Roms Enable Overclocking By Default.

What rom are you trying? Are you installing something else in it? what's your cpu speed 624 or 520?
i tray ranju,Jwrightmcps,PDAViet,Beasty & Laurentius now i am testing KDSkamal WM5 Ultimate edition,on some there was option to overlock but i try dont to use them and when i am test i dont use htc home or same programs but phone freeze
when i buy new battery i use that and old battery sometimes, maybe its have something because i use that old battery

I don't think so. Just one question your Uni freezes no matter what, or only when you power on? (turn on the screen)
uni works normaly during the work on it but when i put backlight of or stand by and try to turn on he freeze,or do not come back from stand by and have to reset.Or sometime when i do not turn backlight of ,he just stay turned on for 10min and when i tap screen he freeze,i also have a few freeze during the work on it
but that freeze during work are rare i can sey that they are normaly but real problem is from stand by

Try again Ranju's - v7.6, remove SD card, and don't put anything (contact's, etc) or install anything on it!! Sim card only and test it for a while...

Many roms are settings "Performance applet" in 624MHZ. This is my problem in all roms, but setting "Performance applet" in 520MHZ solve my problem and not random freeezes and never reboots!
My english is very bad!
ROM is one thing to look but Radio is also something you need consider. if your reception pure then universal may freeze
i try diferent radio roms,now i use ranju 7.7rom and 1.15 radio and still i have 2-3 freeze on day and also 3-4 restarts

My advice would be to reset partitions, instructions are in the wiki.
After resetting with MTTY, flash the rom of your choice, but also flash the radio and a blank extended rom image, all at the same time.
If you still have problems after this, it could still be a battery issue, there are lots of bad batteries being sold on Ebay that do not provide enough power for all the devices functions, especially when using WM6 and Wm6.1 Roms.
Please reset with MMTY as above, and post back your results, if you are still having issues after this, charge the battery, and test with a full battery and powered device from the mains.

Yes - the commands "task 28 55aa" should reset the partitions (via the MTTY tool)
As for testing your battery - you should get a couple of days and it should drain to about 5-15% before dying, if not check the wiki
I flashed the HyperDragon 4 (windows mobile 6.5) and the gps doen't work with garmin mobile XT and I found a lot of bugs..
I flashed back to HD3 (wm6.1) but the phone is not the same, the phone somestimes stop working, or the sound is gone and I have to sort-reset to use it again.
I changed the radio and roms many times but the problem still there.
other thing, the buttons "ok. wm, ie, green and red" never turn off the backlight, only decrease the light.
I don't know what to do, I don't want to change my kaiser
I don't have flashed a new slp, but I don't know if this will work (I have the 3.56spl installed)

reflash the stock rom and see if that helps and please don't be starting new threads for this!!! THIS SHOULD NOT BE A NEW THREAD, this should be asked in the HD thread!!!

Tihiti rom have little bug, when u send sms,rom send lots same sms. Can you fix that?
I fix problem,hard reset and now rom work fine. Problem is sms threader.
Problem:
I charged my phone all yesterday evening (probably around 5-6 hours). So the battery was 100%.
5 minutes later I cheched my phone: 31% battery
1 minute later: 9% battery
It stayed on 9% a while, and descended from 9 in the normal way. Ran out of battery this morning, and the phone shut down.
Before I put the phone in the charger yesterday evening , it was at 9%. So it seems that it thinks that it charged, but no current was add to the battery. So when i pull it out from the charger, it thinks that the battery is 100%, but is only in fact 9%.
Maybe my battery is failing. Never had this problem before.
The phone is ON now, and in the charger. Will update post.
Charging by USB from computer.
EDIT1: about the ROM: Really nice! Like it very much! Fast and somewhat stable

Phone was charged 91% a couple of hours ago, disconnected the phone. Its still on 91%, so I think the problem is gone... Probably a user error the first time
EDIT3: After charging the phone to 91% (as mentioned before), it stayed on 91% for an abnormal long time. I rebooted the phone, and after the reboot, I had 96% battery...
TouchFLO 3D issue!
I tried to install TouchFLO 3D [ HTC_Manila.cab ] and selected it in Today.
But after reset it flashed on the screen as "Tap here to start TouchFLO 3D ..."
But after taping it hangs the phone sometimes or the application does not respond and must be reset.
Does the Pharos not support TouchFLO 3D or have i tried wrong TouchFLO 3D version.
Is it the Dimond which has got the power to use this app? Does the pharos capable of running TouchFLO 3D?
Coincidently even i faced the Battery issue as mentioned above after recharging to 100% and after disconnecting the battery came down to 87%
Will this work on the Pharos Traveler 127? I've noticed in looking for ROM updates, specifically WM6.5, I keep finding references to Pharos in general but no specific model numbers as I understand them.
Thanks for this! I have been using this for 2 days now and haven't got any problem at all so far. It's also pretty fast. Boots up fast and was faster than my old rom which was Poldo v12.
I'm running this ROM now.. i like it No problems so far! Only thing is, that my hotmail settings fail, i think it's a hotmail problem..

This rom works great for me so far, and surely the best one yet. The memory usage seems slightly lower than any of the 6.1 roms I've tried, and I really like the newer windows menu which is superb when you get used to it.
Only real negative issue is that the bootup from cold is very slow, but because like most users I assume I rarely turn it off it's not a major problem.
I can't see myself going back to a 6.1 rom now, 6.5 is so much nicer...

everything works fine with me also...except for the USB to PC whenever you set it pop up screen will come with this message...:This feature needs a memory card in your device. Please insert first before using this feature."

o.k. i have answer From web pdamobiz. I delete MortScript in Window/startup
and restart. end. rom not show msg again.
I'm going back to 6.1. The battery drains.. i need recharge every day, while my battery isn't weak.
I randomly don't get notifications when i get new mails, so i don't really trust my phone anymore!
For the rest.. the rom runned smooth, but my mail is very important for me

Hi all,
I have a seriuos problem with my htc magician s100. I first had WM2003SE installed on it and it kept restarting for no reason, then I upgraded it to Cotulla's WWE 3.03 and it still keeps restarting for no reason. Anyone had or has this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

i think it's because magician battries is suck! i had the same problem,but maybe you can use:advanced configuration tools,juice defender,or maybe battrey guard

No, usually the rebooting-by-itself problem on the Magician is caused by loosed contact on the back cover, you need to put a small piece of paper in order to prevent the device from rebooting alone.

hallo... I just took my magician out again... it's not working since 4 years ago, when I, as a terrible dumb man, made it poweroff while installing a radio upgrade.. now all I get is the boot screen and in few seconds it goes to black screen and USB 2.0 (or something similar) on the lower side of the screen... is there anything i can do to make it live again?
Hi everyone, can someone please advise me on the smallest/fastest most naked rom for the Magician?
I used to have a Russian rom which I set to English and this when fully tweaked gave me 42Mb of free ram and I used this for some time (mainly as a backup sat nav)
Anyway over the years I saw the newer roms and decided to try them but the best I can achieve now is around 32Mb free.
I don't care which rom or even if office etc have been removed I just need a really striped down naked rom for my 64Mb Magician.
Anyone please, and I have tried to look but there is sooo many pages and I have tried quite a few Cotula roms.

should tried hard reset device to factor default settings your Pocket PC Phone by Press and hold the power button, and then use the stylus to press the soft reset button at the same time
O2 XDA II Mini not turning on.
Hi guys.
Some time ago i tryed to unlock my device, but the software i used made it stop turning on.
Now wen i press the power buton little blue light flashes for a second, and the light above the display also flashes a blue light for a second.
When i connect it to usb or or the charger, its always flashing light from the display, but the little light above it flashes in red.
Can anyone tell me if there is any way i can make it work again ?
