I don't know if this happend to anyone before, but I was looking up some stuff on craigslist today and when I clicked on and adress to ask a question about what I was looking for instead of the email client opening a new message tword "sales-######@craigslist.org" it kept replacing the @craigslist.org part with @gmail.com

Hello all,
Is there a way to automatically download pictures in html-mail? Now my device says: "To protect your privacy, pictures from the Internet are not automatically downloaded." Very annoying ...
I have a HTC P3300 with windows mobile 6 (Meschle's ROM)
Thanks
Automatic pic download?????
I was thinking the same thing....Im trying to find out now
...this has got to be THE most annoying thing EVER...
I've been looking for a solution to this one too...
I want my html email to be ACTUAL html WITH pictures by default...whats the point of blocking the pictures? You might as wel just use text email instead...!
PLEASE post the solution to this if you find it...
afaik if you get a spam mail with images, and these are downloaded, they recognize it and then you will get TONS of spam.
so the first spam mail is just a test for that e-mail address.

This I understand. But with respect, that still has nothing to do with wanting the option of turning the images on or off of my own volition.
Not to mention in MY case, I have rules set up that move email from my contact address book to a folder called "sync" - and thats the only folder that I am syncing to my mobile. were talking friends and business clients...NOT anything else...so in my case, that rule fails...what...3x a year...if that.
Again, anyone know how to turn OFF the automatic picture blocking of html email on wm6?
Drat! Had hoped I'd find a solution to this problem, but it looks like I'll have to keep searching, like everyone else? Doesn't make sense that there wouldn't be an options setting or registry flag to control this behavior since it is so annoying to some of us...
anyone ever find a way to do this? I see lots of threads about it but no answers.
There is still No Answer on this Forum or any other that I have found. I moved to Qmail and Am very happy, of Course it has its own challenges.
I'm also looking for a solution to this.
so Bumpety Bump Bump!!!
Some solution please ....
Hey when ever i try to log into my google talk through the built in im apps, google comes up with login error 409...i know the login is correct as i can login to googlemail with the same credentials, anybody else experienced this problem? any fixes?
same problem here... thats that bullish
Confirmed... it is not you
no problem here...
haven't had a problem with the T-Mobile IM app in logging in Google Talk. I think i put in my whole e-mail address as login/username.
Google talk in HD2?? Can anyone post a cab , i would appreciate it very much.
Yes... seen this problem
Select Options -> Settings from the bottom right menu. Enter your 10 digit mobile number in the MSISDN field. At least that's the way I got it to work. Problem with the GTalk that comes pre-installed on the phone is that it uses SMS messaging. I would recommend you look at Palringo messenger, which doesn't use SMS and can handle multiple IM Networks/Accounts.
I have followed all of the steps above and it gives error code 409 invalid user name and password. I can log into google on my PC just fine with my user and pass, but not on HD2. Any more ideas? Tmobile tech support has no idea
So I guess no one has figured this out
aie
no Idea dude sorry
I have even swapped out devices, called Tmobile tech support and HTC tech support. No one knows why it will not work. Someone out there has to know something! Damn google doesn't even have a help or tech support email address that I can find.
After searching google and the local forum search I've seen no other instances of this. My apologies if it's been discussed. I'm running Android 2.3.1 with kernel 2.6.35.7-g7f1638a. I'm using the default EMail app to access a private email server. So the inbox loads the 25 most recent messages. So far so good. But when I delete some it then redownloads the older messages and reflags them as new. I'm constantly being told I have new emails because it's flagging old ones as new after it reloads them. I have not seen any option to change the number of emails it loads or anything else that might work around this. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior?

Could be an email server end problem. Should be set to mark messages retrieved by pop as read. It sounds like it's not, so every time your phone asks for new messages, the server serves them up again.
There might be an advanced setting on the email app's preferences or setup that can address this...look for something about leaving messages on server unread or similar.
I'm not currently using anything but gmail app, so can't double check on my own phone to give you clearer advice.
Hey guys I'm running into a problem on my Infuse. For my emails that are like a day or more old the body just says "null" however I can still view them on my computer. This is a really bad problem because I do a lot of emailing on the fly. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it? I'm using the stock app, not the gmail one.
On another note, I'm looking at my gmail account on the computer and ever outgoing message seems to show up twice in the threads and the sent folder.
Thanks
Tommy
Whenever I reply an email from my phone. Instead of showing the correct sender's email in a quote, It shows a bunch of code. These code display both on the the phone (sent items) and on Gmail web page.
My question are what is causing the problem and how to solve it?
Thank you very much
Enclosed some desmonstration.
Whoa... I've enver seen that before, sorry.
A few questions that might be relevant:
What language is the phone configured to use?
Is the email being sent directly to your Gmail account, or are you forwarding it from another server (and if so, which)?
Did you configure the Gmail account using the Google account template on the phone, or did you set it up as just an IMAP or POP3 email server?
What OS version is on your phone? (There has been at elast one update regarding original message body handling.)
The phone doesn't usually modify the original message at all (something some people have complained about, actually) so this is really weird. On my Gmail account, I've never seen anything like that.
Thanks for replying
The phone is an HTC Radar with HD2O's Dynamics7 1.21 - build is 8779
Language is en-UK
I'm pretty sure it's not about the ROM because I've encountered this problem on stock Mango ROM.
Mail arrives as usual and I reply by pressing Reply button.
It's a mailbox configured by adding Google Account, not manually configured.
I think the problem is on text encoding but don't know how to solve it yet
