Just use your zip code. Accuweather, in US cities only, will work with zip codes or city codes. Here's the link to find codes for accuweather, I put Tustin in url, for another city, just change the city location in url.
http://hadle.accu-weather.com/widget/hadle/city-find.asp?location=tustin
Advanced Configurator? Or are you using Weather Database Editor?
If the latter, try " NAM/US/CA/TUSTIN " except instead of forward slashes, use the vertical bar symbol (slash without the slant). I don't have that symbol on my Think(crap)Pad keyboard, sorry.
im using advanced configuration tool http://www.touchxperience.com/en/advanced-configuration-tool/downloads.html
it has an option to add my city and my city code, does this not work?
Try this link for step by step, foolproof installation:
http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=585
bust i get an error when trying to use that program, something that it couldnt open the write protected database?

I just want to be able to watch Sky Sports on my HTC Tytn, but for the life of me I can't find either a version of 't-zones; or 'web'n'walk' that has any links to it for me to follow:

There are two ways to access Mobile TV on your phone
Accessing Mobile TV through web'n'walk:
Open up the web'n'walk homepage from the main menu and select the Mobile TV tab at the top of the page
You will then be taken through to a page with three Mobile TV options including T-Mobile TV and Sky Mobile TV. Click on the option you want
Accessing Mobile TV through t-zones:
Open up the t-zones homepage from the main menu and click the Mobile TV icon in the centre of the page

All I can think is that the wap sites recognise my device as not being a mobile, so direct me to the full version, so I can't find the right links??
Anyone know what's going on and how I can get both my sanity back and Skysports???
UPDATE - I've tried the web'n'walk demo on the t-mobile website, with a Nokia N95 you get this:
http://surf.yospace.com/tmobile/wnw/nokian95/
But with the MDA Compact, you don't get the TV or Games tab at the top of the screen.
Is there a way of tricking t-mobile into thinking I'm a phone? I can't imagine that it's because my Vario II can't use the content!
I had this problem after flashing a new rom.
Anyway, the answer to your problem is:
http://10.111.189.31
Type that into you web browser. Sky sports is really good
work for me just t-mobile-favourites.co.uk
im using t-mobile beta rom
t-mobile-favourites.co.uk doesn't work, probably something in the t-mobile ROM that lets it work. I'm using Black Satin. If you're at all registry-savy, perhaps you could have a look through the registry for any T-Mobile keys?
No probs if you can't as that IP address does work.
Thanks guys.
Actually, back-track, that ip address works for the t-mobile live tv, the 3.50 subscription, but not the Sky Sports subscription that's 5.00 a month.
Does anyone have the ip address for that?
cheers.
http://10.111.189.31/servlet/do=
http://10.111.189.31/servlet/download?p=3Dwnw
thats mine
I get a 404 Not Found error from that one - the url doesn't look complete?
cheers for the edit, but the link still just goes to the t-mobile 3.50 subscription page, not the page that lets you pay 5.00 to watch the Sky Sports channels.
Help!!!
well if i do the £5 1 ill hav to just for going to the page
http://t-mobile-favourites.co.uk/en/mobiletv.jsp
you can choose on thet page
That link just comes up with a page not found error for me.
My head hurts! Why can't these things just work??
I've just tried http://t-mobile.sky.com and thats told me that my handset isn't compatible with Sky Mobile TV! More lies!

sorry try

I only actually got the TV application to work by using either a WM5 Rom, or the T-Mobile Test Rom, by going to the tmobile home page, the option for TV is not in the menu....
Ha ha ha, that gives me the same "Your handset isn't compatible" error page.
Am beginning to think that they don't want my money!!
What ROM are you running and is there any specific references to T-Mobile in your registry? I think I'm missing something that will stop the website identifying my phone the way it is at the moment!
Is there any chance one of you that has it working could export the registry to a file and email it to me so I can have a look at it?
I am using the t-mobile test rom. Before I was using one f the black roms. When it wasn't working for me, I just emailed t-mobile and asked them for the link and they emailed it back to me
What link was that, do you remember it off the top of your head and did you get it to work with the Black ROM?
Sorry it was the link I previously posted. This allowed me to access the tv..
However, after flashing the test rom, the t.v was already set up via web n walk and I was able to then choose Sky.
I think the easiest thing to do, if you really want sky sports is to flash the test rom.
I'm sure you can understand why I don't really want to do that for the sake of a few registry settings, so I think I'll try and find a fix first - I've missed all the weekends football now anyway!
My extended rom contains all the stuff from my WM5 T-Mobile ROM still, so the registry settings I'm after may well be in there.
I have a cab that looks likely, PP_pIESetting_TMUK_050906.cab should I just give this a whirl?
Do you have a similar file in the ext ROM on your device?
Ok so they give us a password to connect to the wifi, then from there if you are on a laptop then browser automatically opens and you input a user name and password...this then connects you. I'm not too sure how to do this on my Jasjar, do i manually configure? How? Where do i input username and password because the browser doesnt automatically open for me. We are trying to connect using phones, iphones, and my ppc. How do I connect??
Thanks for reading.
Do you know what kind of authentication used in your school? It's 802.1x? Do you have to install a certificate? Try to find out more information...
Open a good browser(say opera) and try opening any site on it. This is most likely the case. You'll be auto-directed to the page where you can input the user-id and password
I have similar problem.
The VPN solution that is used needs users to authenticate via xauth, which is not supported by WM.
Does anyone have a good proposal for a client to use?
If there's no free solution I don't (really) care about the costs.

Thanks for the links
I tried to find some proper software myself, but apparently i did something really wrong!
The decription of the NCP Tool looks promising, as it should include everything I need. I'll give it a try (could take some days) and tell whether I've been lucky or not...
I downloaded Opera so i will try with that tomorrow...I cant understand German so i cant understand that link and cant download. Will see with Opera anyway, thanks.

You don't need to
First, on the german version of the NCP homepage youget to the downloads by clicking Downloads, then choosing Software, then the Client, that's also named english
If you can't figure out how to set up he account needed in german, just click on the little American flag in the upper right of the screen
It's present on the homepage and the downloads page.
The second link is just an instruction anyway, except for the link to the SecureW2 Client. You should find the (english) homepage of that via google. You don't need to bother downloading that if the authentication method isn't 802.11.
Thanks mate, but I tried with Opera and it works!!! Now to find a way to access msn!!

You can allways use online live messenger http://mobile.live.com/pocketpc/
Been looking for a way to get it to work at college as well.
Have got no idea what do cause we use certificates here, have one on my ppc and installed it (on sd as well as the device).
Got practically everything filled out except when selecting a certificate i get the message that there is none.
Been trying to consult the It-services desk but they have no experience whit this.
Do you have any idea which steps i should take?
Thanks in advance
Online messengers are blocked also, they use some burst filtering software or something, will check to see if i can find an unblocked site. Would be great if there was a way to allow everything. Thanks lads.
I'm a total noob with android, linix and being any help to this forum
That being said, I noticed when you're in google search or in the browser and click an address sprint's nav isn't an option as a "default" program to use. I would really like to fix this but have no idea where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I vow to share this info with the community!

Well Sprint Nav isn't part of Android 1.5 which is what the Hero has by default. So it wouldn't show. We have to wait for 2.0 or 2.1 and even then I don't know if that shows as an option.
If i'm understanding you correctly sprint nav isn't included in the stock rom... That's incorrect. it was including on my stock hero (sprint) and on fresh 1.0. I've found you can edit the "androidmanifest.xml" in the apk but i can't open it using xml notepad (invalid character). Any help on recommendation for what editor to use? if i can get this to work i'll post the .apk with the fix so you can just replace it.
*update
so i found an editor that works, not i just need to find the string to add to add it to complete action list.
*update
I found the string is listed as "intention" now we just need the command to make it "navigate to"
+1
i've been seriously disappointed that i'm unable to do this, so if anyone has any solid information as to whether or not this is possible, it'd be quite helpful.
and yes, if you were saying sprint nav wasn't included in the stock rom, it most certainly is. just my 2¢.
Closest I got to having Sprint nav being default is in my phonebook, I tried the browser but it only let's you choose between browser and Google maps (y would anyone use the browser?!??)
so no takers? I thought this might be easy for a dev!
In the good ol' days of my WinMO HD2, a small app was created by a helpful XDA-er to make it possible to add locations (such as mine) that apparently 'don't exist' when trying to add them to the stock weather widget. I seem to be having the same problem with my new Sensation - apparently 'Kettering' in the UK doesn't exist. The weather app finds it when I'm *in* Ketteirng by using GPS, but I can't seem to add it as a location when I'm elsewhere
Anyone know if there's an app, or a fix, that will allow me to add my home town?>
Thanks guys
I think it requires root to edit the database
Think I'll bump this, seeing as we now have root!
I'd love to add other places too...any solutions anyone?

Weather Database
Thanks for the links.
Actually my phone isn't rooted - so I guess I'm stuck until I've done this
Hello guys
when I follow this link http://tiny.cc/rnh0ew on my desktop, google shows me a schedule order of play for the French Open tennis. It shows me the times according to the UK, where I live.
when I follow the same link from my phone using the default browser/chrome/dolphin, the times listed are Eastern USA times, but using Firefox Beta browser the correct UK times are listed.
VERY ODD!!!
I cannot find any settings to figure out why, and I am guessing it has something to do with CyanogenMod CM9... perhaps there is some code which tells some of the browsers the location is the USA?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark.
