Does anyone know of a way to view someone's webcam using your ATT Tilt.
I am asking because my parents and I chat using windows live messenger. Obviously you can video chat if you are on the computer but there are times that they want to show me things and a video chat would be more beneficiary. Any ideas? I thought I saw something simular to this question a while ago on the forums but I was unable to find it in my search.
as far as i know the current pocket msg dont support any type of video calls
MSPortrait is currently the closest to achieving what you want to do, but its development seems to have ground to a halt and it can't use the front camera (Kaiser)
Live messenger supports voice clips in either direction but not video
Orb allows you to view and listen to a PCs webcam but it is only 1 way
I have Emailed the developers of Portrait at MS and they stated they will let me know of any updates as they are released.
I know old Post
Here is a solution for those that want to do video chat with there TILT ... works from Phone to PC (haven't tried Phone to phone yet) ... also you can use this with MSN / YAHOO / ICQ ect Chat apps

Hi, I've been looking around ALOT for a app that would record the audio from live radio streams example.. shoutcast, di.fm and others.
If your still not familiar with what I'm talking about there's a program called RipCast that does it but its for PC. But does anyone know of any for wm6?
I use resco radio to record streams through the hh http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/default.asp
There are some apps, for pc of course, I use one called radiotracker to record the internet radios I like on the pc and afterwards put the files on whatever device I wanna listen to them.
I use the free program mp3mymp3 http://www.mp3mymp3.com/ on the desktop but the OP is asking for recorders on the pda. Resco is the only one I know of http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/default.asp
Yeah sorry, I understood what he wanted .But I though that this one might also help, in case he can't find anything that could work on his wm6.
I saw this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509981 on how to use your phone as a webcam without any paid apps. It says to use mymobiler and an app called Vh Screen to capture the mymobiler camera stream (it will recognize the feed as a webcam). The problem is it suggest using mymobiler but with the Fuze/Touch Pro if you turn on the camera it doesn't stream through mymobiler (you just get a black screen but the menus show up).
So I did the following and it works as a video camera but I can't get sound yet.
1) Connected Fuze to PC using the tv-out cables. I use the freeware DScaler on my PC to get the input from the tv-out cables onto my PC: http://www.dscaler.org/dscaler4.htm
2) Used VH screen capture driver to capture the dscaler feed http://www.hmelyoff.com/index.php?section=8
3) Use MSN Messenger and it works as a 'video' camera but no sound was being transmitted.
Any ideas? I think the problem is that DScaler is not transmitting audio.
Thanks
I don't know about the way you are doing it, but Qik does streaming video and audio from your mobile phone for free.
www.qik.com
thanks - I know about Qik...it's very hard on batteries and you can't use it for other messenger apps. I was hoping to get a universal 'webcam' so you can use it for regular chats and skype, etc.
haha i'm not sure where i picked this up from, might have just been fuze mobility
BUT vzochat.com does free video messaging! they have a pc client and a winmo client. i installed it and used it with two friends - one has an HD the other has a tilt. the tilt camera had issues but the hd worked great, minus some feedback (prob volume too high) and htey have a pc client too.
that sort of kinda not really acts as a webcam but it's still cool!
lmao yeah vzo chat might have been from fuzemobility and i think the poster of that article is the original poster of this thread. Again vzo chat only works in vzo chat. I think the OP is looking for a webcam that work with other software like yahoo and msn and skype.

Yeah I did post on Qik and VZO in the past Both are good for what they are. I'm hoping to take it one step further so it can work in more apps though. I'm going to tinker with some more wires tonight while pressing 'record' in the video to see if that gets audio throughput.
OK- to get audio just plugin in a 3.5mm headset. Here is the entire thing step by step: http://www.fuzemobility.com/using-your-fuze-as-a-webcam/
Hey guys, there a lot of great apps out there that allow us to configure our Android camera as an IP camera, or as a USB webcam for video chats such as skype. We seem to have hit a dead end however, when it comes to Google's Video Chat. For whatever reason (to my knowledge) app developers have not been able to figure out a way to make the camera accessible to Google's Video Chats. It's not a huge problem, but its frustrating, in that solutions such as MJPG drivers that work for other video clients don't work with Google's. Has anyone found a fix or dug into this problem?

Thank you for your kind word! What would you like to be added in the next version for you?
wow nice... so cool
Thank you! What would you like to have in the next version?
Versions for iOS and Windows Phone are coming soon
I appreciate the enthusiasm you seem to have for this app, and I applaud your dedication to soliciting feature requests from the community. However, I'm having a hard time recognizing the benefit of your app over the competition. By your own admission, Camera Stream is a less feature-rich clone of the more established IP Camera (which I already use). Can you help me understand how you plan to set your app apart? What grand vision made you say "I can do better," and kept you up at night toiling away at this project of passion?

The new app version is about to arrive.
Hey J.walsh, anyway to live stream while the phone is asleep? I do hear sounds BUT no video. Also, anyway to save the video clips locally?
Please, download the new version of Camera Stream app with video stream being fixed on many devices in this thread or at Google Play! We'll make these features you asked in the next version coming soon!
It works like a charm, thanks for this app, the streaming it's really fast, almost 0 delay.
Thank you! The next version is coming!

The app is actually pretty nice, but I must use my browser to get the stream.
For example, I stream the camera from my tablet with your app, and use the web cam viewer app
Foscam Viewer Lite on
my mobile phone. It is not able to connect. If you could just connect to the stream like to any other "real" ip cam, this would
be really great!
Cheers
NewBit
We'll work on it!
What would you like to additionally have in the next Camera Stream app version coming soon?
