Ok, so i'm with Centennial Wireless right, and to access the internet, use any programs that connect to the internet, etc., i have to be connected to one server.......but to receive MMS messages (pics, videos, etc.) i have to be connected to another server.....
the majority of the time, i leave it set to connect to the Internet server, because i use it a lot more often, but if im connected to IT, then if someone sends me an MMS, it wont download automatically, because it's set to connect to the Internet server.....my question is, is there anyway to have it set to change servers automatically? as in, if im connected to the Internet server, and an MMS gets sent, it auto switches itself to the MMS server, and vice versa?
anything??

Hi all. Is there a way to set a priority on how my pda tries to connect to the internet. At the moment it always tries to use the GPRS, I have to change the network it uses from tmobile to my isp just to stop it! Is there a quicker way of doing it than having to go into my connection manager?
If I dont have an active WiFi connection then when I want to receive emails or browse the web then the phone automatically starts a GPRS/3G connection which is what I would expect it to do.
However when I want to use Remote Desktop or a remote video application neither will run unless I have an active WiFi connection or I force a GPRS/3G connection by connecting to the web.
I am sure that remote desktop always started it's own session, I don't know why it's not doing this anymore.
How can I get these two apps. to automatically start their own GPRS/3G connection?
Thanks.
Is there a program that would soon open (IE, oprera, skyfire) asked if you want to connect via GPRS or wi-fi?
Can't see that there would really be any point.
Applications using the internet will use any active connection. If Wi-Fi is connected it will use that, else it will use an active GPRS connection or start it up if it is not already active.
If this hypothetical program asked, and then activated the one that you chose, then I would be interested, but I have never seen such a app.
no disrespect.. but this would pretty much be a waste of time.. programing such an application. as you can enable wifi using one of your hardware buttons.
if you enabled wifi, internet explorer won't even try to connect to GPRS. if you didn't enable wifi, it would automatically connect thru GPRS.
I haven't been able to access skydrive on regular data connection. I can only do it with Wifi. Is that normal?
That's not normal. You should be able to use Skydrive with any data connection. Can you get to skydrive.com in IE? If you can't then you should contact your carrier and notify them there's a problem with their network.
Oddly enough, now that I connected once through Wifi, the regular connection seems to get going through. As if it needed to establish the connection once through wifi before I could access it.
I have Pi 4's that create a network in my car and boat for music control (J. River Media Center). But since those Pi's aren't connected to any 4G modems Messenger, mail, web reader and other Internet connected stuff does not work while connected to dem. I have read that going to developer's options and activate "Cellular Data Always Active" should work, but it doesn't. I still get no data in to them while I'm on the wifi without Internet.
I have also read that I can set the gateway on these two networks as empty, and then phone will automatically get Internet data from the cellular network. Only one problem: That's not possible because the "Save" button is grey when there's no default gateway added. Is there anything else I can use for this?
