Hey all,
I've searched around for a solution to this but it's a difficult problem to search for!
On some software that I've installed on my htc touch pro the data entry fields (for example a box to enter the data in pocket informant) are too small so the whole date doesn't get displayed. Is there a way of fixing this? I have gone into screen in the system options field and set the font size to smallest but it hasn't made a difference.
Anyone else experience this? Really annoying as very small entry fields you can't see the text at all (for example entering a height in mysporttraining software).

--EDIT--
Ok I figured out what the problem was. Couple of days ago I used advanced config to edit the size of vertical scroll bars to make them nice and wide. Reason being to help one finger scrolling as the default is too small. Anyway it appears to also change the width of number incremental arrows in text boxes! So they had become huge covering up the text....doh! Reset the size back to default and the textboxes now appear correctly.

I've been working on a theme, but now I'm stuck with a problem that may or may not be related. Changing home screens certainly doesn't fix it. I was also experimenting with VJbasehue but changing back didn't help there either.
My problem is this: in the Start Menu the menu that you bring up with the soft keys now has white text on a white background. How do I set the text back to black?

hard reset
Oh yeah, that's REAL funny.
Actually, just as mysteriously as it happened, it stopped happening. I have no idea why. (cue spooky music)

Maybe this methode works ? -->
Synchronize your tornado via Active sync and goto application data/home find the xml of your theme and change the value of colors police the restart your phone;
Sorry for my bad english
Use this program to change the system colors of your choice. You can install the file to your SD card if you want. To make the menu text black, tap sys. colors, scroll down to menu text, tap white customize box, slide all 3 color guides to far left to show "0"..Soft reset.
Here's a screenshot of what to do to make the menu text black or any color pattern of your choosing.

I found the cab file for instant installation of the program. You don't need the zip file now.
Yea....but how to tweak a Phone with an PPC app...
Yah, that's kind of hard to use a PPC app on a Smartphone. Although the concept is cool. I think PPC/Smartphones need a 'Display Properties' app like Windows itself has. Plus a way to automagically change icon sets. Plus lots of other neet goodies.

...and the colors are FUBARed again. BTW, this time around I'm not altering color settings in the home screen file, but I am working on new icons. I didn't change the background screen, so why these colors are changing is a mystery.

Ooops, sorry. I thought I was at the Wizard forum
Quite all right - I finally just set all the colors in the SCHEME in the home screen and that stabilized things.
I'm still wishing I could figure out for once and for all how to change the color of the text on the start menu.

I've searched high and low for an answer to this one without success. I simply can't believe I'm the only one who has noticed the problem or that it hasn't been resolved by someone, somewhere - but where?
There's an annoying problem with WM6.1 and above whereby an inadvertent left or right movement, whilst actually trying to scroll up or down through an email, will actually move you onto the next (or previous) message.
I know that this swipe functionality (moving on to the next message by swiping right or previous message by swiping left) is absolutely intentional, but the problem is that it's just far too easy to inadvertently move to the next message (any slight finger movement across the screen) whilst actually simply trying to use a finger up swipe gesture to scroll and read the rest of the email that you've already got open.
Has anyone seen this or found a solution to this enduring annoyance?
Thanks.
I'm amazed that no one else has come across this problem?
There's an additional issue which is if you're reading HTML email where you can switch on scroll to right in order to view the whole width of the email then gesturing tends to switch email, rather than scroll.
Must be a way to switch off left and right swipe to change email surely - but how?
I've just bought a Sensation 4G and now realized that in Gmail, when turned to landscape mode, text size is bigger. Actually, everything is bigger, including the UI elements and fonts. Is this normal? My last phone did not do this (HTC Desire).
I also get a similar behaviour in Pulse, but zoom works there, so after I pinch to zoom the text size goes back to normal (portrait) but the margins are left bigger.

Did you figure this out? I'm having a similar issue w/ my new Droid Rezound....
Nope. I think it's a Gmail "feature" if you know what I mean...
Hi everyone,
this is my first app, it's just another system info widget, but you have to configure it with a txt file like conky.
It's high configurable, can display custom text, system information and agenda.
You can choose text style and how often update, so it will not drain too much battery.
you can find more info and instruction here conkylikewidget.wordpress.com (sorry, i can't put link yet)
It doesn't work, I tried with the first example and always display a rounded red button with an "X". I tried to change size, replace/remove font, but always I get this "X"

thanks for trying it and the bug report !
i fixed it and now it's working
So.. they took our ability to change font size within the messages app with the volume key away, and give no way to change both. I.e, I liked having my conversation size Medium and the text that shows on the main page of messages Medium too. Now if you change within the messages app, it will make the conversation size smaller than the other text. Has anyone found a way to fix this? I'm non-rooted.
