Boost FM Radio Speaker Volume - Touch Pro, Fuze General

The Touch Pro FM radio speaker volume is very low, I can barely hear some stations, Even the Head set FM radio volume is low.
Is there a way to boost the FM radio speaker volume?
Please Advice
Best Regards

I agree. Would love to know how to do this.

Try this.
Unzip and copy in Windows dir using TotalCommander!

what are the values in the Audiopara3 to be modified for the FM Radio Volume?
Thanks and best regards

It boosts all sounds, external speaker as well as in call volume.
Worth a try, if it doesn't work remove using Total Commander.
Upon reboot the phone will rebuild one with defaults.
Risk to break something close to zero.

Theres also an option in DiamondTweak that enables you to boost the volume of the speaker.
Get it here:

Bump*
I'm hoping someone can figure out a fix for this. The radio is a great feature, but no good at the current low volume level.

Has anyone got any ideas with this?
This is also the one feature of the Touch Pro that infuriates me...
I cant hear the radio on the bus while commuting to work, but if i play MP3's its more than loud enough, i cant understand why there is such a difference.
Thanks for help.

what! i didnt even know the radio was working on the touch pro.

It works, just no stock software for it on the Touch Pro...I searched and couldn't find an original HTC FM Tuner program but do some searching. There's a guy on here who wrote a program that will tune into FM frequencies so you can listen to the Radio..not the best UI and I think he's still working on it so give it time...but you can listen to the FM radio given you have the multi-out adapter and some headphones.

This works!

Use the audiopara.zip file found above. This works for the Rhodium. The radio volume increased significantly. Thanks!

FM Radio volume level compared to media player

When using the FM radio, the volume level is not close to the one of the Media Player. Even if you turn it up completely the volume level is not sufficient in every situation...
Any clue how to change this?
Anyone got an idea?
i also think that can some one tell if we can do some thing in registry or som aplication to improve the volume
Yeah i would like to know so as well...fm radio volume is way to low.. and i have the feeling audio booster doesn't influence fm radio program..
I think you're running into the limitations of FM radio. My car has a 2000W stereo system (Heavy Metal only), and the FM radio is always 20-30% lower than CD/iPod.

Raphael low sound fixed (almost)

J dont think that it is posted here,so from Diamond forum the file below makes Raphael sounds louder.Test it to mine & works, BUT it's a little disorted (with .wav files j use) ,maybe someone with enough knowledge fix it.
Media player now its loud, havent test it in incoming ringtones or bluetooth.
It doesnt sound well when SRSWOW is on.
The problem is that there is not enough power available from the audio amplifier. This can't be corrected with software.
What this .cab does is probably that it tries to increase the amplification beoynd the capabilities of the device. This may make the sound seem louder, but as you have noticed, it also increases distortion. There is no workaround for the laws of physics...
So we are really really stuck with a very inferior product.
I installed SRSWOW but lost all sounds

Did you change the dll file in the registry so that if points at the right one? Its been written a couple of times the the SRSWOW cab going about set the wrong values in the reg. So I think this should be an easy fix if you do a bit of searching. Try the Daimond forums.
Either this problem varies from device to device, or then Ijust dont understand how loud you guys need...
When my wife calls, she shouts so loud I even have to tone done volume
@WizP: I'll do a search for the fix.
@Taajuus: The sound must be decent enough....

I have my volume set to the halfway mark. I'm talking about the conversation volume, only settable while in a call, not the system or ringer volumes.
Those that are reporting low volume, is it the ringer, system, or call volume you are complaining about? In other words, is it the front or the rear speaker that's producing low volume?
The ring volume is more than fine, it's just the speaker volume when in a call, when outsuide you can hardly hear it
Yes, I concur.
I've got my in call volume at maximum and you can still barely hear the other person.
Before you ask, I don't have a screen protector covering the earpiece.
I still wonder - I havent had any problems with incall voice. Can hear person very clearly even outside in traffic noise.
Could this really be single device problem, or maybe operator dependant?
With that audiopara file in my raphael (ROMeOS V.1.05) the speakerphone volume is now hugh, the music playback is loud, but a little disorted, but j think that there was no serious change in incoming ringtones (though j use only wav files-that are much louder from mp3's.
As far as the disortion a new modified audiopara file that suits well with Raphael should make the difference.
J will try some mods with SRSWOW..
Worked here... But the sound is VERY distorted..
Couldn't find a way around it with SRS (Tried treble reducer) and no luck.
I can´t even here when I´m talking to somebody, but I still have that plastic over the earpiece but still! There´s NO sound at all through it (well really really low), I have max volume, will it get better with the screenprotecter that doesn´t block the small speaker?

REMOVE THAT. It's the same thing if I tried to yell to you with a wall in between us. Sound has difficulty traveling through a medium, specially a piece of plastic.
Dear Taajuus,
Could this really be single device problem

Well... yes sit can because:
1. There are several related problems that are not seen in all devices.
2. Not all Raphaels [Touch Pro] are the same model, make or version.
or maybe operator dependant
Click to collapse
It can never be related to the operator because:
1. The operator's interaction with the device is the one of a comm carrier.
2. It's only possible influence would be with/thorough the radio, never the ROM.
3. The operator cannot directly interact with the hardware.
Cheers.

how do you install this?
The sound is distored cause tripp modified the values of the gain but put it too high. If some one could put lower values it would be great. I tried but didn't manage . I also tried to put the values of the HTC NIKE but it resulted in a lower sound that the original one.
How to install audiopara (to 'ekerbuddyeker")
Get in /Windows,search for audiopara3.csv, MAKE A BACKUP, use resco exp. and copy the new audiopara to /Windows, soft reset and done.

Well for me this file really fixed the sound of my device, specially the earspeaker!! Now I have to lower the system sound so I don't get deft
I recommend everyone to use it...
So do u actually mean that this cab file has increased the volume on a call or just the general sound???

Deceasing Touch Pro Call Volume

I recently acquired a HTC Touch Pro and the major problem I have is when making calls the volume is too loud. Even when I have the volume set to the lowest possible level, it's still too loud. Is there any way (maybe via registry hack?) that you can reduce the call volume even lower?
Holy ****, MOST people have the opposit problem, it is WAY too low even at highest volume, but you are maybe using headset/speakerphone?
Maybe we should ask the OP to upload his audiopara files It would solve a lot of users problem (mine also)
May be this device came with a new rom which is not yet available for download at HTC site.
What is your device rom version?
Regards
Yes, maybe the htc support guys were annoyed by the too many complaints about the call volume, so they raised the volume in the new rom to an irrational level?
OP: Is your ear speaker distorting during a phone call?
No not using speaker phone or anything like that. Speaker does NOT distort, its just too loud for me, even at the softest volume (1 bar), it's still too loud. I have sensitive ears. On every phone I use, I always have to have the volume to the lowest which isn't usually a problem as its manageable. It's just that with this phone after I make a call (even if its a brief one) my ear will go slightly deaf for a few minutes after, because its so loud. It's annoying, especially when the primary function of the phone is to make calls.
At the moment, I'm using ROMEOS 1.12 and radio rom 1.02.25.28 and protocol version 52.33.25.17U.
can u share with us the audiopara files? or the settings from ur registry? or something that can help other like me with the low sound?
i belive tht the entire forum here will be greateful for ever... and maybe the developers will work aroud with that files for us, poor people with nonsensitive ears...
I found this one audiopara3.csv file. It 's Tripp 's light boost. Works fine for me. You should unzip and copy it in \windows folder replacing the existing one.
Keep a backup of your original file just in case...
All credits goes to Tripp.

Anyone tryed these allready?
Can people chime in on this. I really want tio buy the Pro but from what I have read the phone suffers from the volume problem that all of the HTC phones suffer from. Has anyone found a way to up the volume on the earpiece and speakerphone. How well does the workaround work. All everyone is saying is try this without providing results and effectiveness
This is critical to me as I want ot purchase this phone immediately, but the volume issue, especially on the speakerphone, really is holding me up
Please help
ty, freco, but i have tried all audiopara published on this forum... still not satisfied....
i've copied it to /windows, but i think it wasnt there at all :S total commander did not say do you want to overwrite or something :S

Low Volume on G1 Speaker

Have you noticed the extremely low volume of the G1 speaker. i can bearly hear the audio whever i play mp3 or video files. Even the phone ringing is relatevly low compared to any phone i have ever owened!!!
Is there a way to alter the hardware setting and get higher volume out the speaker???
Seems fine to me, doesnt seem too low, mayb its the mp3 ur using. I raise the volume of my files with itunes, but even the default sounds on the G1 seem fine.

Yeah, adjust music/video volume using the keys on the side of the phone while playing a song.
I'm sure you already did that so.... there's a program called volume control that let's you adjust every volume setting the phone offers. Also, my speaker has never been that loud anyways but that program helps a bit.
Any one of you guys know where i can but a new speaker phone peace/thing for the G1. I blew mines out with the volume hack. -.- Thanks in advance.
I've noticed the low volume on Cyanogen's ROM, but on every hero ROM I've tried it seems MUCH louder.
I've noticed it too, but I've always used Meltus' AudioHack app to correct that problem.
The only thing I noticed on the G1 that is weak would be the vibrate. That is pretty weak.
My phone started doing this before donut was out. I was using Xrom, and thought it was the rom causing it. I'm running Dwang 1.13 now, and discovered that my issue is being caused by T-Mobile's Visual Voicemail apk. The speaker would work great until I opened VV. The VV apk, routes the media sounds through the headset speaker, like when holding the phone to your ear in a phone call, but it doesn't always re-route the media sounds (and ringer for that matter) back to the loud speaker. There is a hack/apk/widget out to fix it, claiming it to be a cupcake issue, but I only had it happened to me after using VV.
To figure out if you have the same issue, block the loud speaker with your finger and play a song. If it gets louder when you remove your finger from covering the loud speaker, then you have a different issue. If it stays the same volume, block and unblock the headset speaker to see if it changes.

If you are running MT3G/Magic You can also try this on the G1 to see if you get better sound
CM's system usually doesn't add the MT3G Sound XML
Download and run this: http://drop.io/tfwtv3d/asset/volmt3g-signed-zip
If this doesn't help, use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517745
i had this more then one , dont know for sure bit this is after i did a switchrom, a simple reboot is a fix

This problem is really annoying, can someone post a link to the fix for me, I haven't been able to find it.
This also happend to my phone. Started with the last stable before the whole google thing with cyan. Tried a hero rom and it was pounden out sound.
So if anyone does have any insight on how to fix this, with reasoning, that would be nice. No "i did this and reset and it just worked" stuff.
Thanks
Also wish my G1 would be louder when a phonecall came in. My older HTC Juno was extremely loud which I prefer because Im not where my phone is 100 percent of the time.
I would also greatly appreciate some insight on how to make the speaker louder with some tweaks and or apps.
Thanks in advance.

Use Meltus' audio hack, it makes the phone really loud. I suggest using g7-6r2
Aye, that should do it
Also, for people experiencing routing problems, my files might also fix that too.
The G7 files included fixes so that they would run on the Cupcake/Donut/Hero/Sapphire. It might fix it, i'm not promising anything though

+1 If your G1 is quiet download Audio Hack from the market and it will not be quiet anymore. People tell me all the time, "dude your phone is ridiculously loud". I love it..
Meltus' app is amazing, i used to hate when i went to show everyone a video from youtube and you cant hear nothing when your out in public. Def recommend it to anyone who thinks their speaker is low.
Meltus Audio Hack.
Your welcome.
My G1 speaker is terrible!
The other end hears constant echo, and it's very soft for me to hear anything.

Topaz as TomTom GPS for use on Motorbike -- Sound Problem

Hey Guys,
what I am planing to do is to use my Topaz for navigation on my bike.
Generally it works as I want it to work but I have one problem left. The sound is not as loud as it should be.
What I did so far:
- Install TomTom 7 on my Topaz
- Install a bluetooth headset in my helmet
- Redirect system sound to BT headset via BTA
- Set system volume to max as well as TomTom volume
So far everthing works great but when I am riding my bike its pretty hard to understand anything. So I have to get the sound louder somehow.
The Tool AudioBooster just says "No Headset Connected" when I am trying to start it.
Any idea how I could boost the sound output via BT?
Greetz Topaza
Unzip attachment and copy to your Windows folder overwriting original and your max volume level will be increased.
BTW, this is a common question and solution is readily available with a simple google search. No need to open a new thread for this.
thanks for your reply. The file you provided increases the volume via. the Topaz speaker and via. (cable) headset a lot.
Unfortunately the sound via bluetooth stays the same or is increased a little but i cant recognice a difference...
any other ways?

I don't use BT so I cannot confirm if it increases with this file but opening the .cvs show settings for BT, so I would assume it should increase BT as well.
I have an Extra loud one if you want to try it, however you will need to adjust your speakers to a lower level to avoid distortion.
Please let me know if you notice an increase in BT vol.
still cannot recognize any signifficant change in volume via BT
Thanks for the confirmation.
Personally I think BT allows for too much background noise and your best option would be earbuds to cancel excess noise...
Unless you're on a Harley, then there's no way to hear anything but your motor...
Sorry man...
damn, the idea was so great and everything works perfect except this ****ing BT headset - whose integration into the helmet was hard work btw...
There HAS to be a solution. Still don´t know how but i will get this thing working somehow...
Maybe I have to tune the hardware... a better speaker, a small amp or somewhat ^^
Anyway, if someone has an idea how to boost the sound, please let me know!
