doese there exist a Windows Mobile "remote desktop" solution that work ?
I wanted to know if any of you guys use a VNC client to control your desktop or any remote pc from the topaz (I have the HTC pure) I havent tried the inbuilt remote desktop yet as I have XP home so wanted to know what you guys prefer to use for this. Please give me some suggestions.
Xp home doesnt have a RDP server, just a client, so you will have to run VNC server and use a vnc client to use it from the phone

Actually what I found best is to use Hamachi.
Hamachi was bought by LogMeIn and is a program that puts your devices on a virtual network by a static IP. They have a mobile version for PPC that works great.
Load Hamachi on both phone and PC... then use whatever services you want as if you are physically connected. Remote desktop, file share, etc.
thanks player911 I will try hamachi and let you know
Hi everyone. Is it possible to install mysql and apache server on windows mobile 6.5? I found some apache server but without mysql.
Why would you want that?
I am currently trying to find a Remote Desktop Client for Windows Mobile 6.1 that supports using or inheriting the device's serial ports. The included RDP client currently does not support this. I am using a device that includes a card reader and with using serial, RDP does not alter the card string, unlike trying to use Keybaord Wedge over RDP.
I know that the RDP client included in Windows CE allows this by default, but apparently this functionality has not been ported into the Windows Mobile version.
