I'm sure someone has thought of a fix for this...
I know the list that appears below the little globe icon is based on your favorites in Opera. But how do I go about changing the top link underneath the icon which reads MediaNet even when I change my homepage. I'd like that top link to be something else. Is that possible?
yup - here you go http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=667

Hello, just curious if there was a way to make a shortcut (with icon) to settings page. HTC Home has one to Programs but would like to have one for Settings too. Would love to get rid of the Start Button.... I have searched but not really found what I am looking for....
Thanks.
not too sure about the actual syntax for the link to the settings folder but this list will show you how to make a direct link to a particular setting...

Thanks, but still looking for a way to link to the settings pages, like if I was to click settings from the start bar, but have the link in Home's Application Launcher...
Would anyone out there know why my contact list no longer shows the letter scroller to the right and instead shows the original windows mobile alphabetical letter groups at the top?
It used to be there, now it's gone...
Not sure, but just to say my scroll bar appears and disappears randomly. I'm sure something's causing it, but not sure what yet. I'll be watching this thread as I'd like to know!
Same here comes and goes which is why I decided to install pocketcm instead
Do you have "Show alphabetical index" ticked under Options? If so, it seems to put a set of tabs across the top of the screen, but removes the list from the right hand side.
Not me, I unticked it a while ago, as per instructions on another post. Still get the scroller bar coming and going.
It's not a big hassle to be honest as I just type the first few letters of a contact when texting or calling them.
I have a German Orbit 2, the Alphabet scroll in the Contact disappears mysterously and randomly, but it re-appears everytime after I install and uninstall PocketCM. Yea, this is a stupid way to get the scroll back.
same here i noticed it weeks ago, just been too lazy to post about it
I believe the right-hand index is known as RandomAccess and it's written by HTC. There's some info about it in the Polaris upgrade/tweak thread.
any Solution to restore the scroller ????
Contact language
How to change language for the alphabet of the native VM6.5 contact list?
It could just be me, maybe it is ment to look this way, but....
The internet explorer font is really really big. I even set the text size to "smaller". There is also an annoying scroll bar on the right corner that pops up and takes up about a quarter of the screen.
Another glitch is typing in text. For instance when I try to post something on face book you can't see the text your typing until you actually post. Seems to happen if I put in more the 5 or 6 characters.
I'm old and wear glasses but I don't need the view to be this big!
Any ideas? Besides don't use it?
Thanks.
obviously ur talking about the i.e from the newly created Ookba ROM, and i mentioned this bug to Ookba and he said he was going to try and tackle it shortly.
also, have u tried switching from "Desktop View" to "Mobile View" in i.e.?
I found a nice medium with adjusting the zoom with medium fonts.
Yes, I messed with all the settings. mobile view with smaller text, etc etc. no difference. but thanks!
yea the "let me show you where you on the page by taking up 25% of the page itself" is really annoying. Any reg key to disable this page-scrolling popup?
Is there anyway to remove the operator name complete?
i like clean screen.
do you mean the name of your Gsm provider?
nope you can´t put away the branding in the settings... you could try a new rom, then it might work
cheers, stephan1
cookie tab editor lets you change the name of the operator and add whatever text you like. It says on the setting screen that you can put a space in if you want it to be empty.

Click to collapse
With Cookies Home Tab you can fill in your own operator name, or use a space to leave it blank
is there a way to put a "colorful" or ACTUAL operator logo in place of the plain text?
If you don't or can't use co0kie's home tab, then the attached cab can do the same thing (let you customize or clear the operator name). It does the exact same thing as the feature in CHT, it's just a stand-alone solution. It won't put an icon there, just text.
Install, find the icon in your start menu, run from there.
Ok, Ive looked to see if I could find an answer to this, but no avail......
Im running v2.0.0.0 CHT Editor on WM6.5 on a HTC Blackstone, and I am wondering, as I cant fin the answer here or in the fone settings etc....
How do you remove quicklinks from the page after they have been added?? What has happened is that with my fat thumbs, I have added multiple instances of the same program, and instances of programs that I don't want on my quicklinks table, and all I wanna do is remove them and replace them wih the programs etc that I actually want on the table....PLEASE help, this is getting incredibly infuriating....Thanks guys.
I don't know which version of CHTEditor I'm using, but if I click "Action," then "Edit Quicklinks," I just tap the ones I want to delete, then hit "Finish," or whatever, and it's done.
I don't have my phone in front of me, so I'm not actually entirely sure of the names, but you should get the general idea.
Hope this helps.
On the bottom bar: Menu - Edit Quick Links - Then tap lightly the quicklinks you want to remove (if you hold, then you move them) and a "X" icon will appear on their side - On bottom bar: Done and voilà, the icons you (and ME too) don't want disappear.
