Cannot see any TP folders when browsing on PC - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I have an HTC TP. When connected to my PC (Vista 32 bit) active sync works and the TP is recognized. When I want to browse the contents of TP I cannot see anything? The content window shows 0 files? I've checked my folder settings and they are set to view all hidden and sys files. Even when I go to "my computer" and click on the TP icon, the content window opens and there's nothing there?

synchronising with two folders instead of one?

Hi,
Is there anyway with WM5 / activesync 4.5 to syc two folders rather than just the 'my docs' folder? I seem to be able to add extra files from the desktop to sync, but not folders.
I effectivly want to constantly & automatically backup a small folder on my PC to my XDA, aswell as the usual my docs folder.
Thanks Anthony

A program called easy sync will work for you. I needed the same thing and found that this program works wonders. Not to difficult but not very easy either, but will sync any folder, file or whatever else you want in whatever folder you have on your device and computer. Hope this helps.
Here is the link:

EXCELLENT!
Great!
Looks perfect, I will never forget to keep those files backed up now, it will be done everytime I connect my PPC.
Perfect thanks

How to sync files on the Polaris with network folder?

Hi
I have the following configuration:
1) Windows Vista Ultimate on a PC connected to a router
2) NAS (QNAP) where I store my important files connected to same router
3) HTC Polaris
What I would like to have is to syncronized the files on the Polaris with the files on the NAS. In Windows Mobile Device Center I can only syncronize to a folder located in the Vista PC.
The problem is that is always difficult to syncronize the files between NAS/VISTA PC/POLARIS all together
Is there a way to directly syncronize the files on the Polaris with the NAS (without having to setup an expensive exchange server)?

You'll have to use something like Easy Sync, or Mighty Sync. You'll also have to install CardExport to export your storage card (assuming thats where you store your files on your TC) so that it shows up as a usb drive under XP/Vista.

The files are not many and in the main storage.
Maybe a registry hack for "windows mobile device center" to choose a folder on a network drive? I'am sure is possible, how though?
With those tools I will not have problems with sync between 3 folders??? (the Polaris, the Vista PC, the network folder)

How can I Access my devices windows folder in vista?

OK, I need to access my HTC Mda/Wizard's Windows folder through my PC. I have Vista and mobile device center. When I was using a PC with XP and activesync there was no problem but with vista and device center the windows folder isn't visible at all, only when i access it through my actual phone. does anyone know how i can access this folder using vista?
I think you have to go to folder options and pick "show hidden folders" or something. See if that works.
Go into Organise > Folder and Search View and untick the box 'Hide protected operating system files'.
I usually turn it back on afterwards to hide all the crap Vista dots about your system
thanks a lot guys

Adding Contracts to WM6.1 Device from WinXP or Vista??

hey i just switched from my old LG VX8300 to a Verizon VX6800 that i'm using on cricket, and i right now i have the daunting task of switching over all my contacts to this new phone...
that's over 160 something contacts i gotta transfer.
now my VX8300 has no USB port, and i'm not about to buy the cable to get the contracts trough QPST.
so it seems i have only two options. manuall add them, or if thre was some kind of miracle program that i could install on the VX8300 trough a microsd card, so that i could transfer my contacts trough there...
and i don't think such a program exists, so i am asking you guys if you all know how i can hook up my VX6800 to my PC, and manually add contacts to it trough my computer. i can type much faster on my computer, so that is my "best option" as i see it right now.
i have both winxp and vista. the "sync" center works, but it has no options to munally "Add" contacts to my phone...

Try Activesyc or its vista cousin
that's what i just said... activesync doesn't have such an option...
it only lets me "sybchronize" my contacts from my hotmail, that's useless.
i need to be able to manually add them

You can use MyMobiler to control your HTC from your PC.
If you can extract your contacts in csv format from your old phone, you can also use ppcpimbackup to restore them with some minor manipulation see Here
Hope this helps !
it didn't say there how to "control" my PC, it only said how to extract contacts from one SMART PHONE to another...
my previous phone is not a smart phone. it does have a microSD slot, but it is not a smart phone, and it DOESN'T have windows mobile...

Windows folder trough exchange?

Hello,
When I connect my HTC to my pc and exchange starts up I get my phone in "Computer" In there I have 2 drivers, my cellphone standard memory and my SD Card...
I wanted to arrange my shortcuts trough my pc but I see there is no Windows folder when I check out the cellphone "drive" ?
Is there something I did wrong or is there another program wich allows me to access it?
Hi there,
From what i gather, you are using the explore part of active sync. In windows explorer you need to enable "show all files" or "show hidden files".
THis way you will be able to see the windows folder and do what you want to do.
