we need reduce these and have full integration with live services!!! wasn't better improve windows live for mobile functions adding calendar and tasks sync...and backup of files and sms with skydrive!!!
you are so right! why arre there so many different services! isn't it possible for microsoft to make one service for all?! god knows i am not a fan of apple, but mobile me is what i wish to have for my wm device!
me too i'm not a fun but it's the best solution..windows desktop, windows mobile and live services with messenger email calendar and so...i hope there will be a solution
MyPhone seems to work great for me, but for some reason I don't seem to be able to sync my Notes. I'm guessing it's not available yet.
I'm running version 01.00.1516.0001 of the MyPhone app.
Anyone got any thoughts?

sync/mirror regular outlook email with android

hi
i have outlook 2007 on my pc runnig both exchange and pop email accounts
i have a bunch of folders and rules for sorting them.
is there some way to mirror (or push) my emails to my nexus using all the ruls that i have from my local PC .let me note that i don't have a web exchange server.
i fond a program for the pre called "pocket mirror". it basicaly gives you a mirror of your outlook on you pre with complate control (but it is limited to local network).
i raely want to read and write regular email on my nexus like i do on my pc. pleas help.
it would also be nice if the app will also do the same for my calender

Click to collapse
this program requaiers i have access to my exchange outside my local network if i want to work over the web.
Basically I want an app that can somehow attach itself to my outlook (on my home pc) and give me access to e-mail regardless of the type of mail I have (pop or exchange) and using a cliant on my nexus gives me control similar to push mail.
I’m not kidding myself in thinking this will work in real time (instant notification of new mail) but to be able to sync my nexus/andriod to my pc's email over web, looks like this can be very useful
everybody likes remote desktop why not remote e-mail
can anyone help me
I know what you are asking for. No such thing today. Other option is to move your home mail to an exchange hosted account. Outlook at home would sync to the server folders and then you can use the native activesync client to view folders.

[Q] windows 7 and omnia 7

Hi peeps,
Never even seen a Samsung omnia 7, but tonight I was asked how you would sync MS Outlook contacts and calender from windows 7 pc to the Samsung omnia 7
I couldn't answer at the time because my last windows phone was a HTC HD2 running 6.5 and syncing that with XP seemed to be a bit backward compared with my old HTC Blueangel and ActiveSync.
Can you please point me / her in the correct direction. She has a pop email account, not hotmail and apparently is finding it a little difficult to find instructions for anything other than an MS Exchange setup.
I did a search and saw a few references to wireless sync, what's the way forward please?
If this MS outlook hotmail connector "Work around" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqJL9X0oqIk is the only work around then MS are truly nuts, what an own-goal. iPhone & Android have better sync capabilities with MS Outlook
you have to setup the phone to synchronize with Windows Live Website and then add in outlook (2007>2010) the hotmail account as mail account.
It will download the "hotmail connector" to download all data from windows live.
you can also use windows live mail 2011 instead of outlook (free and easy to use)
MSFT have stated pretty clearly that the future is in the cloud. Actually Windows Live mail is an excellent implemenation of cloud & local e-mail integration.. If you want to use google mail or something else, then fine, (and WP7 is fine with that too) .. but I don't know why MSFT have to support possible e-mail configurations - for free. If you don't want to play it their way try nuevasync, pipe everything via their service & connect as an exchange server.

[Q] Outlook sync with HTC 7 Pro

Syncing the HTC 7 Pro's contacts (and I suppose in other WP7 phones) with Outlook is a giant step backward from Windows Mobile 6.5 as I had on my HTC HD2. WP 7 phones (at least the HTC 7 Pro, I haven't tried any other WP7 phone) no longer includes full, direct Contacts sync with Outlook (2010 in my case), but only:
-Sync with a Microsoft Exchange server
-Sync with Microsoft 365 (cloud-based).
Those who have neither are stuck with using a Hotmail/Live ID account, install the connector on Outlook, copy contacts to the new folder that is created and then sync this new account. But there are two major problems:
-The new folder will not accept contacts that have no email address (I have 60 of those out of around 2000 contacts). The only solution is to carry a second phone like my HD2, or more realistically assign a dummy email address to these contacts. The problem is compounded by the fact that when you perform bulk transfer of your contacts Outlook does not identify which are email addressless and rejects the whole transfer.
-The "notes" field in the Hotmail account is shorter than that in Outlook 2010: beyond 1024 characters the rest of your note is truncated. This was not the case with Outlook sync in my HD2 which had the same "note" field size as Outlook.
Did I get anything wrong? Please advise. Note that I haven't yet got the 7.5 update to the ROM: I am using 7.1.
As far as I'm aware, those issues are still present in WP7.5.
You might have better luck using a GMail account for your contacts, I'm using one and it didn't have any issues with my email-less contacts, though I agree it's silly there's no direct Outlook-WP7 syncing.

[Q] Which OS has the best synchronizing capabilities

Hi,
I currently have a desktop pc running Windows 7 and an older Nokia E71. Since my contract is nearing its end I am trying to figure out the right phone, or to keep it a little simpler for now, the right OS.
The one issue that is of utmost importance to me is synchronizing! I want to be able to sync contacts, calendar and mail over the air and if possible notes as well. I fear that this might be a problem if I keep on using Outlook.
Right now I only see two options:
Get Android and revert to google apps
Get an iPhone and sometime in the future a Mac for iCloud integration
A new phone and a mac is expensive like sh*t, google apps is nice but I prefer outlook especially together with OneNote... so these two options aren't exactly a dream come true.
Windows phone only seems to sync with outlook via exchange, which I don't have and I am not a big friend of extensive workarounds using hotmail or gmail to fetch whatever possible from my local outlook and then sync it via exchange to the phone.
So, after all, what do you guys think is the best solution?
PS: Syncing aside I am a huge fan of stock android and therefore am leaning towards getting a galaxy nexus.
Not sure, I'm on the same doubt.
Anyway, don`t go with Android, syncing is a crap.
IOS (Iphone) is somewhat better, but be aware they miss a lot of features and fields.
If you can stand with an "old style" WinMo device, this is your best option.
I currently have an HTC HD2, and my new Galaxy Note is about to be retired without ever have been active. I've been trying to get my contacts into this beatiful phone for two weeks, and after countless hours I'm about to resign.
Obviously, Mobile phones platforms are is not a "Customer satisfaction driven" bussines.
Regards.
