I recently found this app called iBrowz which allows you to see movie listings, news and sports up to date information. I downloaded and installed it but it does not support any canadian cities, does anyone know a work around or a similar app that allows you to see local movie listings very easily.....

it Comes by default on the HTC EVO but I've use this one on my phone and it seems to be working fine, you would need a subscription though.
Hello members,
I'm working on an idea for creating some kind of hack for the Google TV that would allow us to modify the channel list and tv listings that Google TV pulls to the box whenever setting up the device to a Cable or Satellite Provider.
Here's my story, I bought a Sony NSZ-GS7 and was disappointed when I found out that my Cable Provider was not listed in the Providers list based on my zip code. So I cannot get my GTV to pull TV listings or search live TV.
I too want to search for "a movie about a rebellious teen who's living in a town where dancing is illegal" and get live TV shows or movies playing right then and there.
So I need help finding out where Google TV pulls the channel list and tv listings from, and in what kind of format is the data transmitted from the source to the GTV.
I thinking maybe creating a custom app that will be easily configurable to load custom channels and listings from a web service. Also, I could modify a /etc/hosts file in my router and have GTV pull the feed from a different server I control.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Im interested too, in forum.gtvhacker.com we are talking about that
I was at an asian night market the other night. On sale was an android tv box. The name et al was sketchy. However, what caught my eye was the [not so friendly] salesman with very limited english was channel surfing not only Chinese channels but live streaming local channels in my area too. He was selling one of the black boxes for around $300. Another box was sold too, but it had many chinese channels programmed and the GUI was all in chinese too.
I didn't get much out of the salesman he says all these channels are available online. I got to thinking. Why then do I need to buy a tv box then, especially since product support and reliability would be a concern. I took a pic of the sign and box but the images are all blurry so I can't say what box this is; however, this is not the first time I seen one of these type boxes at night markets or flea markets.
I searched online but I couldn't find any where live streaming local channels that were shown to me. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
What you're looking for could be one of many TV Boxes being sold. Would help if you can post the pictures what you can.
However to your main question, the channels were probably being accessed via Kodi
I would actually like to breathe new life into this thread.
I (living in China), have a ZTE zxv10-B860 (seems like it is know as the mebox as well). Also, the thing is in Chinese. I can roam around and watch the local pre-loaded channels, but am looking to see if I can't flash it to a android OS, then load kodi on it somehow... any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I just have developed an live tv app that is covering live streaming of thousands of channels. I want to add this at my website that is actually embedding of that app. How it is possible?
