Hey!
A friend of mine just presented a thought he had. Why are there no phones out there with GPS and an Avalanche Transceiver integrated? And I was wondering if there is any piece of software or accessory which would enable this kind of feature on my HTC Touch Pro? (Or any other HTC Device?)
Regards!

Im looking for a "Smart Phone"
-WM 6 \ 6.1
-Integrated GPS
-Wireless
-USB 2
-Good speakers \ calling audio
-Price's 500$~900$
-Good battery time
-Keyboard
-Stability
-Bluetooth
-Regular Headphones plug
etc etc
I come here open minded since i dont know the comunity, and willing to hear your advice's about new non HTC, or yes HTC device's
Please let me know what you think, and wich device should i choose.
Thanks,
Amit.

Like you already mentioned, either TYTN II or Touch Pro will suit your needs.
Personally, i've been using the TYTN II for about 6 months now, and i'm really happy with the performance...GPS, battery, signal reception etc..everything is good for me at least...
i'm sure you'll get different reviews from different people, so in the end it's your call...
Hi,
is it possible to use rSAP or SPA and activate in the firmware?
I want to use it with my car bluetooth.
Cheers
Any word on this?
Current model VW/Skoda/Audi only support rSAP profile, which is a royal pain.
rSAP
Hi,
got my new VW with the premium phone set. I've found on the german wikipedia the list of rSAP supporting phones. Most Nokia models seem to support it as the premium phone set is actually modified Nokia BT set. I also found that the rSAP is supported by all HTC except G1 and one other model. This got me thinking if it might be more software than hardware issue of android which might not support rSAP rather than the phone itself. Anyone got any ideas about it, cause I don't wanna change my phone to nokia as my network does not have any other HTC mobiles in offer.

I'm pretty sure you are right that it NOT a hardware issue as much as a firmware issue. The protocol has just not been developed for Android.
The reason: Infancy and lack of subscriber base at this time. Not many people in the grand scheme of things have Android and even fewer have rSAP devices AND Android. Both platforms would have to gain more popularity before support will develop. Sad but true.
Dear Experts,
I have a windows Mobile phone ( JASJAM) and iam used to Windows operationg systems since i synchronize it with my laptop and make benefits of the word, excel and other documents. today my device is almost dead and I am looking for the right choice since i need to invest in a device for almost 2 years.
Kindly advice me for thge best recommended mobile.
REMARK: I went through the nest to check the upcoming and future devices such as:
Samsung Omnia HD, Samsung Omnia pro, HTC pro2 & HTC pro3 etc....
Finally, due to the big number of latest technology mobiles and models I need your recommendation for a good mobile to buy. I can wait few more weeks if there is some thing nice coming soon.

your friend
If you do a lot of typing on your phone than a hardware keyboard is quite handy.
Phones with hardware keyboard:
- Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
- HTC Touch Pro 1 or 2 (Pro2 will not be released for some time, so maybe not an option)
If you don't want/need a hardware keyboard, you've got quite some options.
In my opinion the best choice at the moment:
- HTC Touch Diamond2
- HTC Touch HD
Maybe you would like a smartphone (Blackberry like):
- HTC Snap
Hell everyone,
I now have the t3238 clone Jade 100 not really happy with it.
I was looking for you opinion on what is the best Phone. I am looking for the following in it.
Touch screen
GPS GPRS
Wifi
Quad Band.
Mabye TV?
anything Else is a bonus.
can you HELP????
Thanks in Advance.
From the actual devices:
The best hardware keyboard device: Touch Pro 2
The best no hardware kb device: HD2
Do not buy copies!!
The HD2 Leo is a very hot item and is now available mostly in Europe, but it is costly unless your under some contract.
Does anyone know if the HTC HD2 has the ability to "Capture Signatures" in software which requires a physical signature? I'm debating between the Touch Pro 2 and the HD2 but would prefer the HD2 if it is capable of this.
htc sells a special stylus that is desinged to work exclusivly fir the hd2. they where around 10 bucks i belieive...
