fuze tweak - Touch Pro, Fuze General

how would you go about doing this tweak?? i cant figure it out...
how do i use advanced config??
Boost TFL3D Performance --> Using Advanced Config, change File system cache to 8mb and file system filter cache to 131072
Tested and works a treat. TF3D is sluggish and prone to long pauses before tweak, much faster afterwards

help please!!!!!

Open up advanced config once installed, go to performances, and there you can select file system cache and filter cache and change the values. After that just click done and soft-reset.

CM6: ADW back to home lag solved?!?

I think I've stumbled across the culprit for the ADW return to home lag... Android Backup Service
Uncheck "Automatic restore" and "Back up my data" under "Menu > Settings > Privacy"
My phone is currently running fast with only an occasional return to home lag.
Current set-up:
Fresh wipe and install of CM6 with gapps-frf91-3
Initial google sign-in skipped with back-up option unchecked
Dithering turned off then rebooted
Launcher > Spare Parts > "Window animations" and "Transition animations" set to "Fast"
Unchecked both boxes under Menu > Settings > Privacy
Added my google account under Menu > Settings > Accounts & sync and made sure back-up option was unchecked
Installed SetCPU and set it to 576/160
My last setting was Menu > Settings > ADWLauncher > System Preferences and checked "System persistent"
Setting update 7/15
Menu > Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Performance settings > VM heap size is now set to 32m.
Menu > Settings > ADWLauncher > System Preferences > Scrollable widget support is now unchecked
Menu > Settings > ADWLauncher > UI Settings > Show desktop indicator is now unchecked
I've gone and installed CM6 numerous times trying every trick I've seen in the thread for removing the home lag and this setting is the first one that makes my phone fly! Other then what I've posted I'm using all stock settings with a few apps installed. Let me know if you see similar results.
My phone:
MyTouch 3G (32b)
SPL: 1.33.006
Radio: 2.22.19.26i
Recovery: RA-v1.6.2
Swap = 96
ext3 = 512
I actually did something very close to this yesterday and it made the world of difference. Thanks for posting this for others to see.
I run my phone with those settings off and experience it all day long.
But glad it works for ya.
Everyone should just disable those settings.

i did something similar to wat inthewoods did when i first installed CM6 and it had ADWlauncher to home lag but after i installed the version from market im guessing it went away, it does happen sometime when i go back to home from other parts of phone but other that that home lag isnt showing. one thing that is bugging me is the battery life i had when i first installed rom it went from fully charged to 45% overnight while i was sleeping, i hope it doesnt die so quick i really like steve's Roms. did ne1 else have this problem after they installed rom?
Oh. My. God. Bravo sir, great post. Worked great.

This worked for me
http://www.androidcentral.com/adwlauncher-gets-big-update
Ever since i went to the version on the market, smooth as silk.
Yeah the lag I'm seeing is when I leave an app and return back home via the home button. ADW would seem to "reset" and reload everything. Once everything reloads everything would run smooth. From what I'm seeing by using the setting above the "reset" has mostly gone away. BUT like everything only time will tell

I recommend using swap to anyone who hasn't tried it on this rom..32mb and swappiness set at 10 eliminated home lag for me..

Just downloaded and installed ADW from market and so far so good. Will run it more tomorrow and see how it goes, but so far desktop shows up right away after I went into browser, map, settings, finance app, and dialer. I also have most of the settings turned off and only running 3 screens since i don't keep a lot of shortcuts or widgets on the screens.

Ohhh I have another setting update which seem to help the occasional lag:
Menu > Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Performance settings > VM heap size is now set to 32m.
I also tried the new launcher from the market and it had a bad return to home lag so I uninstalled it.

New adw launcher
Did exactly what you specified in your post and woohoo!!! no more lag! I'm running on a 32b MyTouch 3G too.

Yeah I had the same problem, .9 is just fine for me
The new ADW launcher (1.01 for D/M) is AMAZING
http://jbthemes.com/anderweb/ADWLauncher_cm6rc1_mdpi_1.0.1.apk
download it and use it. lag is the least it's been yet. It stays in memory like it's supposed to. I can switch between MMS/phone/home INSTANTLY (with no swap)
Everyone seems to talk about the size of their Swap partition, but what about swappiness?
60 swappiness was getting slow and buggy on Swap of 96MB
been running 30 for the last hour and its snappy. I'll report back tomorrow after its had time to 'sleep on it'

Have you tried rebooting after it's installed? It keeps reverting back to .9. I've tried adb, root explorer, and installing it using linda. It'll install but once I reboot, it'll revert.

[Q] Scroll lag

Does anyone get this; open something with a long list (e.g. gallery), then scroll quickly by flicking the list up/down and do it so the list keeps scrolling. I get lag when doing this, and its not smooth (believe the effect i'm after is called "buttery..?"). What ends up happening for me is that the scroll stutters and it ends up opening a file in the list that i'm scrolling.
I get this with a fair few ROMs and have always lived with it until today when I decided enough is enough and I need to man up and ask for help, plus I really want to use the Viper S rom effectively as the comments about this ROM suggest that this should not be happening.
I've wiped (factory reset in recovery then wipe all excpet sd, then cleared cache and dalvic PLUS i also select the wipe function in the viper aroma before install) and installed the ROM 3 times. Strange thing is, i don't get the problem after the first few restarts (not FC but me restarting it) but then for no reason at all, this lag issue appears (i have yet to restore titaniaum apps/download any apps at this point).
Sometimes it happen.
If you can't live with it, you can try the following:
a. Change the governor. On demand or lag free will offer you better performance. (affecting negatively your battery life)
b. Overclock a bit.
c. Change your kernel. Sebastian's seems to be working nice.
d. Use system tuner to check the apps that auto start and use your resources.
I hope it helps.

A Fix for Lag and com.android.phone crashes

IF YOU ARE HAVING A LAG, try this, it cured my lag and also stopped com.android.phone boot errors.
1. Do a nandroid backup
2. (optional) Clear your cache. You can do this from Recovery or there are nice apps that will let you do it from Android (I use Elixir 2).
3. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications, click the All tab.
4. For the following applications, click the application, click Force Stop, the click Clear Data. You should also click Clear Cache if it is not greyed out:
- Account and Sync Settings
- Dialer
- Dialer Storage
- Google Calender Sync
- Google Contacts Sync
- Google Services Framework (this one is important)
- Google Services Framework (yes, do it twice)
5. Turn your phone off, then on (do not reboot)
Clearing Data clears application settings for that app particular to your phone. If you have flashed lots of kernels and ROMs, the Data may contain unused or incorrect information. Cache is merely "scratchpad" information, temporary data related to the app's processing.
Let me know if this cures your lag. It worked great for me - no more crashes and phone is snappier. But I don't know if my phone had a particular issue or if this is good for all Android phones. Give it a try and let me know if it makes a difference!
Cool - I'm seeing much better battery life!
Didnt work

GPS seems to have died

S7 on MM SuperMan ROM
So a few days ago my GPS started taking longer to find me, and today it just stopped entirely. Been on the same version of the ROM for probably 6+ months. Google maps, Waze, weather, etc, basically any GPS related app can't find me.
Done all the usual stuff, checked settings, disabled xposed, uninstalled any recently installed apps, wiped cache, no go.
Downloaded that GPS tool app everyone recommended and reset GPS settings etc and it didn't help. The diagnoses page says my sensors are all fine, and it can actually find my coordinates but other apps still can't.
I did a nandroid backup then did a clean wipe, and it works on a fresh ROM so I know it's not hardware. Issue comes back when I restore the backup, so it has to be some kind of software related bug or issue.
I just can't think of what it could be. I'll probably have no choice but to set it all up again from scratch, but any ideas of what it could be would be nice.
Did you try delete cache and dalvik cache in recovery only?

Yep, I'll give it another try now.
I've just did an all setting reset within android settings. Which seems to have just made it worse.
edit: nope, tried cache, davlik and internal storage wipe (but leaving data and system). still broke.

Try Reset App Preferences from Settings > Apps > 3 dots top right menu > Reset app preferences
Also Settings > Apps > 3 Dots > App Permissions > Location, check everything is set to accept location that you want to have location access (Top right 3 dots again > show system)

Already tried the permissions settings to no avail, but doing that seems to have done it. Cheers!

Question Play Store scrollling choppy - cleared cache and data

Hey guys ,
The scrolling in play store is extremely choppy . I ve cleared data and cache and the usual stuff but the issue still persists.
Any ideas ? Video attached.
I checked the frame rate and it is at 60hz which should be fine. Only when i keep my finger pressed and drag it across the screen from bottom to top does it scroll smoothly.
EDIT : not sure if its worth mentioning, but my DPI is set to 597
EDIT 2: Reverted back to default 411 dpi and it's still the same . Wiped phone cache too

Still the same, unfortunately. At default dpi of 411
I had a look/try with my Play Store and it looks/feels similar to what I saw on your video. I think it goes slow(er) as it loads content and then speeds up if I scroll up or down. I think it is business as usual

No such luck with me ... Just stays that way ... No big deal ... I can live with it since it's not 'a daily use app'
Still looking forward to any suggestions though . What I noticed is, regardless of DPI , clearing cache and data works for some time but then play store starts lagging again. Almost impossible to navigate within the app pages, sensibly
