Update on my question
Dinarsoft Handyswitcher by far is the most stable, but lacks in the memory display function (handymenu by them is also not stable) pbar served my purpose but handyswitcher kills many non responding progs thereby saving reset.
I love the memory below the date
I wish i cud tweak it myself
Any seniors with any experience any registry tweak to do it i cud maybe try it
Else
I manage and wiat for something to come up (small footprint) is a criteria.
The batt indicator by levenum is SUPER

Hi
Thanx for writing i dont want a today plugin
It shud be unobtrusive
Thanx anyways i did se eit
The batt indicator by levenum is the best with not much of system resources being used.
I haven't seen this question asked so figured Id do it. Is there a cab file for the grayish style battery status on the today screen? I prefer it over the multi colored one I currently have. Thanks
I think it's always been there, today plugin? atleast in v3 and v4
I should have been clearer I guess. I am using Q 1.2 tilt version because I like the at&t radio but I was hoping to still have the battery status used with duttys touch roms.
the battery status bar on the top is just a part of wktask. search for it and you can find a .cab for it.
if the one that shows on the today screen is the one you are looking for, I am not sure he has a cab for it.
you can also use the vistahide (I think that's what it's called) battery guage and it accomplishes about the same thing if you only want the battery strip
All great answers and very much appreciate the prompt help.
Can anyone help me find these cabs...they were both in the TNT Kaiser rom. I have searched with google and searched on the forums...and have no luck... thanks in advance...
any help on this one?
I'm not sure about BT Controller but you can find the latest BatteryStatus cab here:

The battery one I am looking for is in the TNT roms which the top is colored and it shows the battery level in color from right to left where the more right it is the more the battery is full.
search for vistahide battery gauge
Battery_status indicator (it is a colored bar upper any screen)
this rom contains the 2 things im looking for...

you had battery before?
if not you may need to edit the registry or use advanced config to choose to see the batery always, or clock.
No I didn't. How should I get the battery icon to show?

Intstall .net compact framework 3.5
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E3821449-3C6B-42F1-9FD9-0041345B3385&displaylang=en
install advanced config 3.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151
go to today, then change the "show icon on title bar" from clock to batery.
advanced config is a must in WM you can configure almoust everithing in the registry from a more user friendly interface.
- locations of internet temp files and direct them to the Storage Card intead of memory.
- configure touch flow 3D
- Cache Setings
- etc...
or you can wait till someone posts the registry entry that does that.
Ahhh....now I see. It's a question of either clock or battery and not clock and battery!
Now I have the battery, but not the clock!
Can anybody fix something like this?
I don't know much about changing registry.
I've used the grab battery app.
Is there a version that looks like the iPhone battery with % indicator? Or a battery with a % indicator and a colour in battery.

Who can share the cab file for the pictures showed, they are very nice...
Guess we'll have to wait. At least someone has this on his device.
Here you go.
Install first sdkcerts.cab and than the battery icons cab.
This is only for the Battery.

so nice! I like it! thanks!~
You could use this one - it is Ariel Battery. You can move it to wherever you want on the taskbar and also change the colours if you like...
I like smaberg's Touch X 1-percent battery indicator, but I think HTC icons look strange next to it (they don't fit the Sense look at all IMO). So I tried to replace them with nice and soft WM6.5 icons. After some editing I ended up with replaced icons and modified battery icons - now it shows more steps like the smaberg's one but without numbers. It behaves similarly:
- 100 to 31% it's white
- 30 to 3% changes color from yellow to red
- 2 and 1% shows battery with red exclamation mark
What the cab does:
- installs Leo_phcanOverbmp_mod.dll (phone, WiFi and data connection icons from shellres.192.dll, modified battery icons)
- installs and replaces HTCVolumeControl.dll (speaker icons from shellres.192.dll)
- installs SDK certificates
To use:
- download, unzip, install the cab and soft-reset.
Thanks:
- smaberg for idea and all the great tweak cabs
- FInixNOver for this great guide

I don't, I made this is made for HD2. Maybe when I'm less busy, I could't try to make QVGA version (don't know if it differs though). I can post sources if there's someone interested in making it.

Uploaded new version for WinMo 6.5.5, tried with freyberryROM.V6.0/24001. If anyone can, try it with stock 1.66 or previous Windows version, I think it should work (it doesn't replace HTCVolumeControl.dll and uses LoadIconFromResDLL and SoundIconLink regsettings)

Can you add the icons that are missing? Like the bluetooth and wlan? And others? Very nice on the artemis rom.
This is exactly what I needed! Love the original modern style taskbar.
Thanks!
It's cool. Thanks for your good work!
Thanks, working perfectly on my Blackstone!
Thanks for your work, it's working perfectly on my Blackstone and fits well with Roosticity icons and Wajk's Android lockscreen!
Is it possible to install just the battery icon? I'd like to keep the others as they are.

It's possible but you had to edit the dll. The FInixNOver's guide in the first thread will help you. I'm sorry but I can't work on it. Maybe I could find sources somewhere if you are interested.
