Sprint HTC Touch Pro - REALLY Loud Audio - Touch Pro, Fuze General

The audio level on the Diamond and Pro both is REALLY loud for me. With headphones (either the included ones or some of my own with the adapter), 1% volume is about comfortable, and I don't even want to think about what 100% is like. Sadly, the side volume only goes up by 20% increments, so I have to go to the Options tab and lower the slider every single time. Is it just me? I have used both the Sprint Touch Diamond and Touch Pro and they are both like this for me. I have been told I am sensitive to high volume more than others, and usually keep my volume at about 1/4 of the max on my devices, but this can't just be me... Does anyone know how to lower the volume globally?
Thanks by the way to the community as a whole for the tips - they have been invaluable so far, and customizing the device is one of the main reasons I had for choosing a WM-based phone. I don't regret it, thanks to you guys.

HD7 Volume.

The volume on the HD7 seems low anybody else have this issue?
i dont dont have a hd7 but if you have any wp7 games downloaded it might be worth going back into the game, and checking the volume on the game first, it seems that game volume can also affect the system volume as a whole. increasing it could help if that is the problem. just a guess.
Nope, no problems here, but I use a stereo bluetooth headset with mine. The only bugbear is that the sound for videos always comes out the main speaker, which is a pain when playing games with video sections, like Need for Speed Undercover.
Have you already downloaded the sound enhancer form the htc hub. It makes a huge difference.

I have but not much louder.
Are you talking about speakerphone?
If so then yes. The volume is lower on that than everything else, otherwise, the phone is loud.
I just got a replacement hd7 phone yesterday and this ones speakerphone is way louder then the launch day phone I had. Even vibration is stronger. I dont know if it just me, but the screen colors look brighter and not as washed out as previous phone. I wish I could compare with other phone but screen broke on that one.
Is that a hardware issue? HTC mozart is ****ing loud. Max volume without my ears searing is 22...
You guys are lucky still, volume on the lg optimus 7 is horrible. It is half to 3 quarters of my volume on my N80 or Omnia 1. Vibration is beyond horrible I tried another unit to be sure it wasnt mine seems to be it the handset.
LG Optimus great phone but 3 bad things that annoy me.
Speaker volume overall - poor
Vibration - extra extra crap
The Buttons for Back/Search - make too much of a clicking sound.
If anyone has a htc surround 7 - how is the speaker/vibration for that I am thinking of switching to that. I love the windows 7 os
I too find the volume on my HD7 too low. Although there are some songs that play with loud volume. I'm wondering does zune convert some of the files when we transfer them?
Yeah I too can barely hear the speaker and my headphones are super low too. I tried to watch some netflix on the light rail yesterday and I couldn't hear a thing. Is there anything else beside the HTC app to increase the sound?
My TouchPro2 was hecka loud compared to this. Speaker and Headphones.
I just got mine yesterday (10-03-11) did the mango update and the volume is CRAP.. there is no way these alarm sounds or even trying to use it as a gps in the car even makes sense... the volume SUCKS..
I really think it is app based. for some reason, my Slacker Radio got a little louder since my Mango update... its been a little bit louder i think. Or that might just be me. Let me know XDA people!

TF700's weak sound

Hello TF700 users.
I have my pad for about 2 weeks and I start to feel that it has very weak sound. Volume is always on max...
I compared it with iPad 2... so iPad was twice louder... even old HTC desire phone sounded more powerful for me.
I would like to know if anybody has similar observations?
Yes. Volume from the TF700 is fairly low. Then again, I'm not expecting much volume from something with such small speakers, neither in quality nor volume.
If you want proper sound use headphones. Or some small external speakers. That goes for pretty much all mobile / portable devices in my opinion.

"just" root your device and use the free Volume+ app: http://androidaudiohacks.com/?page_id=16
Then it's loud enough
Anybody know how the volume in T700 compares with TF300?
If you need audio boost without rooting, you can purchase AudioMasterPro from the Market (an equalizer app) and then push all the eq sliders to maximum and this just about doubles your volume. I use this on the TF300 (where it works very well) and excite 7.7 which has notoriously low volume. Just be careful, because too much output can easily distort or damage tiny speakers. So if you hear any rattling or distortion back off on the volume.
Only drawback is that the app doesn't auto-start and you have to turn it on manually and insure the sliders are set to maxium from time to time if you re-boot or it gets terminated accidently.
I suppose any other eq app that one might already have could be used in the same way just slide all the sliders to the top - or if it has a gain/preamp setting slide that to max.
Disclaimer: haven't tried it on a TF700 but can't see any reason why it wouldn't work - also its a paid app so if it doesn't work for you (use the trial first) I'm not resonsible!

How to increase volume without volume+ or rooting

For those looking to crank a bit more volume out of the stock setup, here is an easy way, that requires no additional apps or rooting (some apps claim to work without root, but other than Volume + they are a mixed bag, with varying degrees of performance. Some plain just don't work.
Start Google Play Music App. Begin playing something you know well. Choose the menu from the top right (3 stacked blocks), and select Equalizer. Either drop the selection down to "custom" or just start raising the bands. Raise them most or all the way to the top. A "bigger" sound can be achieved with a classic "V shape (boosting the low and high frequencies, and leaving the center, 1000hz at or below midway)
Oh, then hit the "On" switch in top left corner. You will be AMAZED at the difference in sound, if you toggle it off and on a bit while playing music.
This is technically not the loudest, that can be achieved by pegging all bands to the top, but the mid-frequencies tend to sound "tinny" or "Like a small or cheap speaker" to most folks ears. By reducing it, and boosting the bottom and top frequencies you get a nicely boosted sound, though somewhat colored (an audiophile is not likely to be wowed by this type of spectrum boost, but, depending on the source material most folks like this, as it's comparable to what a "loudness" button does, and with the Infinities VERY small speakers. Yes there are 2 in there, and they are stereo, though how Asus expected to get ANY separation or any type of "sound stage" through a 1.5" x .5 " grill remains a mystery, even if they did apply some delay, echo or reverb, which I do not believe they did.
Some swear by Volume+ and I had good experiences with it on my Prime, but when something in my setup caused both Volume+. Musicfx (the built in Equalizer I just described tuning) and settings to crash every time I used it, I decided to see what I could do without it. I am quite happy wiith the boost that musicfx provides

I have a feeling that you aren't speaking of the Asus TF700T Infinity.
Are you having a problem with plug-in speakers or bluetooth speakers?
The Infinity has but one single speaker.
Is the speaker inside the Infinity working?
one of my speakers turn off

Hi
Yes I'm talking about TF700T infinity
No problem with the plug in.
The TF700T has two speakers in the same place. One of them turn off.
I know that because my music sound in mono insted stereo.

That's right buddy!
Any solution?
Doesn't work globally (for me at least)
There's only one problem, from what I can see this only boosts sound via the app itself or perhaps music. I fired up a game to test this and the levels were the same as before.
The global solutions is to use the app: equilizer and do the same thing (I raise all sliders to the top). I used this on my HTC until I found a way to get volume+ to work on that.
Volume+ however, isn't compatible with JB but in any case there is a limit to how much you SHOULD risk bumping up your volume. I already get a little distortion using equilizer on the louder audio files I have, the limitation is going to be the speakers installed which can be damaged.
Unfortunately as with so many Android devices sound quality isn't a priority with manufacturers which amazes me particularly on both the HTC (targeted to audio users with a phone barely adequate in stand alone volume level / quality) and the TF700 which is a flagship tablet with price to match.

Trying to respond to this using the Infinity and Dolphin browser is almost impossible. No hitting spacebar twice to end a sentence. Messes everything up big time!! It has a real hard time dealing with the code i guess. Might be a good time to try another browser.

Minimum volume of internal speakers way too loud

I had several Android phones in the last years, but the OnePlus 7 Pro's minimum volume of the internal speakers is way louder than on any other phone.
For me it's even way too loud. I regularly listen to podcasts in bed when my wife is right next to me and it's too loud to not disturb her.
I found several apps for boosting the volume, but is there any app that decreases it?
Headphones
Too uncomfortable when in bed and I often fall asleep while listening to podcasts. Otherwise I would have done it already...
I can't tell if this is a joke thread or not
No joke. Just google my issue and you'll find several threads for different OnePlus devices. I'm not the only one.
My guess would be you needa custom rom that increases the volume steps. Or maybe ask in one of the magisk rom threads if the developr is able to add that funcionality. More steps would possibly give you a lower low setting.
Thanks, but I don't want to use a custom rom (camera, drm,...). Seems like I have to live with it then.
I am with OP. I had the same problem with the HTC phone with 1st gen Boom sound. Its audio was great but the lowest volume was too loud for night listening. It seems the Oneplus engineers are like HTC's who didn't bother to adjust the audio profile when they switch from one speaker to two. Samsung Galaxy never had this issue.
In the case of HTC there was no fix until I switched to Cynogen where the audio volume increments were much finer than stock. I think each click in the Oneplus7Pro stock is 3% increment and unfortunately it is impossible to go from 3% to 1% in volume slider using one's finger.
There are many games i play and sometimes videos are too loud at the lowest volume. I learned to live with it. And yes this is for quiet time but dont want or cant wear headphones.
I also realized that. Its pretty loud compared to my Op5T or OPO I had. But its not that big of an issue for me
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
My suggestion: Please open a ticket via the OnePlus' Community app feedback function. The more user report this, the better. Maybe OnePlus will consider additional volume steps then.
Or just go to sleep without listening to a phone in bed? Always an option

Your watch strap is too narrow? Carry it in hand. Always an option.
You can't afford a breakfast? Go to work without one. Always an option.

Same it is "loud" on lowest setting
Same for me, too loud.
I already sent a ticket about that, as a suggestion if I remember, we just have to wait for the devs if they care about it.
I also reported that sometimes I have "double sound notification", maybe the stereo is not synced well.
There is a little shift.
Also, seems kinda loud ...
For now custom ROMs are the best options. Google Cam is better than One Plus cam anyway and game mode can be achieved with many apps. Think about it, what really make you stay on OnePlus ROMs ? OxygenOS is not far from stock but have a lot of issues like this.

increase vol. on headphones

hey guys,
I'm getting low max vol. on my OP8t with my 1st gen airpods (it has always been like that) so I decided I want to get more and purchased Anker Liberty Pro 3 which are supposed to be great and have amazing sound. unfortunately the volume is still very low (on my standards) . i tried using boosting apps, they do a small change but not enough. how do i remove this stupid volume limit on my phone ?
Thanks very much
This was mine case, maybe it will help you, or other people
https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/isrco1
It was basically the mesh what was muting the sound and what protected the speaker from dust and other particles. So i rip it out, now the volume is clear and loud.
that works no root just dont go super high
