AT&T Fuze PTT Remapping Solved (with video) - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Did you guys see this? http://www.fuzemobility.com/?p=598
It's just a combination of two threads here to first disable the PTT button from activating and then to remap the button. It has a video that goes along with it toh elp with the step by step and I tested it...works like a charm. Good work XDA - I have a working PTT button

PTT being OK button
That was a create video and very clear. One question I have does anyone know of a way to make the lnk operate as the <ok> button. I miss that darn thing. I don't know what the windows command for it is.
TIA,
James

Actually same instructions as I posted last week:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445498
but a more complete set of instructions for less experienced users.
Nice recap David.
FuzeMobility has a great collection of additional tweaks! Check them out if you haven't already.

They are essentially your instructions (and they are linked) but it adds one step at the beginning that disables the PTT warning from coming up. You probably knew to do it though and just didn't explicitly list it You are the man behind this - definitely - and we're all thankful

Switch SIP (txt input method) without stylus?

Is there some hack/app for that?
I'd like to map it to hw button for better one-hand usability, but I couldn't find anything about how to do it...

I'm looking for such an app, too. So please tell us, if you found a solution.
TIA,

Since no one is stepping up to the mark for now, I'll upload this
All it does is switch to QWERTY sip.
At some point I'll get it to enumerate all SIPs and you can specify them from command line, but I've no idea how to enumerate SIPs yet. I'm only just learning C++!
If you send me the CLSID of the SIP you want, I might knock together custom versions, but I'd rather learn how to enumerate and do a nice solution...

Wow, great. That's one big step forward! Haven't downloaded and tested your app now, but it sounds great!
A few months ago, I started to develop an app like this, but due to limited time I got stuck with it. But this could be helpful for your sipswitch:
Maybe you could get all installed SIPs by reading the registry (look for all entries with the key "IsSIPInputMethod" in HKEY_Classes_Root/CLSID/).
Finally, it would be great being able to select several input methods to switch between them (in my case, I normally prefer the letter recognizer but switch to Intellipad when I'm on the road :wink.
Greetings,
BGK
BGK: thanks for the info.
The procedure to enumerate SIPs is built into the API, SipEnumIM and SipEnumIMProc. I've never written an enumerator in C++, only VB, so I'll learn how to do it one day soon. If anyone cares to demonstrate how, I'll be happy to put it together.
I imagine what the prog will eventually do is enumerate the installed SIPs. Then you can specifiy by command line "SipSwitch.exe Calligrapher" or "SipSwitch.exe Keyboard" etc and it'll switch and popup that sip.

I finished it finally.
I managed to get it do to everything indicated, ie Toggle Sip and switch sip by name, eg SwitchSip Calligrapher will bring up calligrapher.
Bed time

Is it possible to change the SIP in silent mode? I want to change the SIP without the SIP to pop-up after change ? Possible?
Thread will be moved to Q&A (even tho it's MEGAold )

Why? It has vijay's program that has been developed here. How does this not belong in development and hacking?
I hate the SIP panel, and I favor the switch the Input Method via keyboard silently.

New SMS softkey missing **Partial Fix**

Hello,
After upgrading to WM6, I found when viewing SMS messages that the left softkey no longer gave the option new, just delete.
I put together this little shortcut which will send you straight to a new SMS.
I then mapped the shortcut to the now defunct video call button.
Download and unzip the attached file. Copy the extracted file to somewhere on you device (I put in in \Windows\AppButtons) and then edited the following registry entry:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C2
amending Default from "\Windows\AppButtons\Video Call.lnk" to "\Windows\AppButtons\New SMS.lnk" (you will need to amend this to wherever you put the New SMS.lnk file)
Hope that helps, but you are amending and playing with your phone/registry so I take no responsibility for anything you mess up!
Sorry if this is a known resolution, but I hadn't seen anything specifically in this forum, and not one with a complete solution.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the little tool. I was wondering if the 'Delete' option could be turned into the old 'New' setting without loosing the video call button?
AFAIK No!
I've searched the forums and nobody seems to have an answer for this. I can't find where in the registry to edit either (I'm no expert of registry settings)
This seems like the only option for now. I think the softkeys in the mail app are hardcoded, so would need someone with more ability than I to take apart the tmail.exe file and make the required alterations. Still after nearly a year of ownership I've never used the video call button, and find it handy to be able to go to a new sms from anywhere on the device. Maybe this will be addressed in a future build of WM6? Or possibly someone will give the option of either NEW / DELETE...
Well.. Thank you for the workaround.
I'm looking for a solution, too.
I HATE that "delete" button, it's really boring!
Please help me!
Hi!
Please help to me! i want to create a shortcut send SMS in PPC, but i don't know how to do that? (example: send "GPRS +" to 8125 by SMS)
Many thanks
1. I don't understand what you want to do.
2. This is the forum for the HTC Universal device, judging by your username, you'd be better asking your question here
(anyone else think that HTC has made life a little complicated calling one of their models the UNIVERSAL...)
try vjphonetools do a search on the forums
Please help me!

Read the Sticky on Radio's. Or read the last page on Dutty's Post, you will see me explaining this to someone.
It will explain that you need a 6.1 Radio for a 6.1 ROM.
1. Upgrade your radio!!!
2. To allign the screen, first disable FTouchFlo, soft reset, allign the screen and reenable the FTouchFlo...

Thanks a lot the radio problem is solved. The keyboard though remains. The functionality with the function keys i.e. the commas,; etc..etc are not aligned I get different values. I get a & instead of " that the button shows.

search for tilt keyboard fix.. Just install it and soft reset your phone...
Searched and here you go...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=71138&d=1203289076
Has the general public forgotten how to read or do a search.
Why not post your questions in the thread pertaining to the rom that you just flashed instead of starting a new thread.
I bet you have a tilt dont you. Have you tried the tilt keyboard fix?
Seriously, if I had a dollar for every "my sound isn't working" thread, I'd have like 20 dollars by now. (sorry, couldn't resist)
Holy cow... After I revamped the wiki to be easier to navigate than any other wiki, there are still people asking this?
XDA-developers is being inundated with regular Joes, and despite everything we try to do to assist the average Joe, there are still too many people who will start a new thread and bump it until they get the support they need, rather than reading.
I give up. Logging out until things change around here...
I don't blame you Alex. Un-f#$%king-believable that people are such idiots.

Slithers Cube...

Have u guys tried to install Slithers SCLPC++ on ur smartphone? I tried, works good, all the animations n stuff...looks really cool...only downpart cant press any of the buttons, i put forward the following in slithers thread:
"
Hey slither.....great work.....i went to the edgelib site n it stated there that it can be installed on smartphone....so i went ahead n installed it...works like a charm (just the cube roatating and all) but neverthe less its probably the best interface so far i have had for a non touch screen....
There are a few things though i would like to ask you:
1. Is it possible to assign the opening of the icons (music, programs, contacts) to the numberpad, that way it will be fully functional on smartphones as well.
2. The centre button of the Dpad assigned for opening app rather than closing SCLPC (only for smartphone, for PPC i thnk the present config is best)
3. Make some function for up key in dpad of smartphone, like the same function as swipe in touch screen does?
Is this possible bud?
Keenly waiting for what u have to say.
Thanks alot bud,
Once again great app.....
"
What do u guys think? If we can be generous we can probably get slither to make it functional for our non-touchscreen phones.....and it looks amazing....
Sound's cool, what the thread url so we can post more requests for smartphone? Maybe ifhe knows there's a demand, he'll help us out.
Here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358102
I will post a video of how it runs on my phone soon.....
and heres the download that ran on my phone:
http://rapidshare.com/files/89795344/SCLPC___3D_0-051__WM05-WM06_.zip
I have uploaded the video, its in the cube3d.zip file....its in 3gp format...its not that clear cause its recorded from mobile, but i have displayed 3 of the skins i downloaded and how it looks......
Let me know what you guys think
i always wanted to test this app on my phone but i always though it woulndt work, but for my surprise it does,il be willing to post on the authors original post so that he can know that we smartphone users want hes app fully functional on our phones.
Did anyone manage to convey our message to him? I was thinking if he can not do it, probably ask him if he could give us the source and we can get someone who is good at c++ to do it...i know someone who might be able to...
What do u guys think?

Anyone working on a GC dialer...

As a GrandCentral user I've watched the Ifone,Crackberry, and WM5-6 get a direct dialpad link to GrandCentral. Hopefully someone can create one for Android? Supbro has it for WM but its in "C" maybe we can get him to create One in Java?
speaking of dialers would love to get a feedback option when dialing; like when you move a app from menu to a screen, you get that little vibration oh does DTMF work I tried to login into something the other day and kept pressing the button and was not getting a response?:

It was sort of on my list, but the tethering stuff jumped ahead of it and i've got countless other non-android projects on the go just now.
I was expecting stellar grand central integration out of the box - google really dropped the ball there

It doesn't seem like Google is really going anywhere with GrandCentral ever since they took over the company. But I would love to see an application for GC on android too!
