Any repeat alerts for Fuse? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

im new to the touch pro seen since i have switched to the iphone from a polaris and tilt. i was wondering if there are any repeat alerts on the fuse for missed calls, vm, sms? i know that on the polaris and tilt, treo alerts along with mortscript worked...on the fuse i cant seem to get it to work...has anyone made a hack or cab for repeat alerts on the fuse...thanks in advanced...

yea ive been looking for repeat alerts for my SMS Tone, but when we go into settings, the BOX to check in "repeat alert" is Greyed out, so we can choose it

is this still unresolved?!

I use Best Reminder, mself.
Works a treat.

Thanks!! I will try that
for the record, I tried "Notification Repeat Enable.cab" but it didnt work on my fuze. The damn "repeat" check box in sounds & notifications remains grayed out and disabled.
It sounds like best reminder will do the trick for me, thanks

damnit, that one also doesnt meet my needs.
I need a repeating alarm for REMINDERs, i.e. tasks with alarms.
None of these seem to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRrrrrrrr
to top off my anger, "Best Reminder" doesnt have any method to uninstall it!!!!!!

Try Spb Pocket Plus.
Here is a quote from a review MobileTechReview did:
Reviewer @ MobileTechReview said:
One of the handiest features in Pocket Plus has to be the repeat alarm function. This fills a silly gap left by Microsoft in Windows Mobile. Not only does Pocket Plus enable repeat alarms, but you can specify any .WAV file to play and set the volume of the alarm independent of the system volume. That’s great for morning wake-up alarms while traveling when the sound may have been muted for meetings. Alarms may even ascend in volume, which is my favorite setting. If I’m in a loud location, the alarm will be heard when the volume reaches near maximum, but if I’m in a quiet area I can catch it early and avoid annoying everyone in earshot. Sweet.
Using the Settings tab, repeating alarms may be enabled for the built-in clock and/or for task alarms. You can set a minimum battery level below which the repeated alarm function will be disabled.

Spb Phone Suite has to be one of the most awesome phone apps out there. I swear by it, m'self.
I don't use it any more because I use TouchFlo and don't want to bloat my device but for anybody that has disabled TouchFlo, the question is: why AREN'T you using Spb Phone Suite???

I agree with the previous post. I love SPB Phone suit and the features are out weight using the TF3D.
Anyway if you want the repeat download the a cab called "Notification Repeat Enable.cab" it will allow you to check the repeat Notification box. I tested and it works on my Att Fuze with HTC WWE Rom

I didn't know about a cab for this but I used the instructions Here and got what I needed. Worked fine for me.

they all have trials...
I use alarmToday
SPB Time does not work, the alarm doesn't wake up, and when you turn the phone on after it is due, it then starts alarming.
I use ptravelalarm, love it. I like the big "Stop" and "Snooze" buttons that appear on the screen when the alarm goes off and it has all the other features. I notice on WM6 that the alarm wont sound unless you disable security alerts, but I think everyone here does that anyway.

Exactly - at least you are sure it won't crash/fail to get sound to play etc.. and you won't miss the plane
You can make alarm.lnk with contents:
00#"\Windows\settings.exe" alarm.cpl.xml
and bind a keystroke to it to set alarm quickly.
This is the first time I ever say something +ve about M$ Product
Anyone have link to this alarm you guys love so much. I've tried Sbd time but thats failed me a couple of time so my search continues.
I have WM6, where would I be able to disable security alerts?

The alarm peeps r talking bout is the default Windows Mobile alarm.
Nevertheless, I would go for pocketalarm. Plays MP3's. Dunno if it will run on WM6.

Try en AlarmPPC. Nice reliable alarm clock. Works under WM6

LlamaV3 mentions disabling security alerts. So I couldn't tell anything more on that other than it was mentioned in this post.
Right now I'm giving a shot to the alarm LlamaV3 mentioned but I'll def look into the rest mentioned by you guys. I do depend on my phone as an alarm so I need to find that perfect reliable alarm.
Thanks for your help guys.
I use CHRONOS from ActiveKitten. I'm loving it.
You can set snooze time to 5, 10, 15 and more
BIG snooze button on your screen will allow you to tap on it and sleep again
Best feature, the alarm sound can increase from low then going to louder and louder. Of course, you would be able to set the increase time. It also does vibrate or not.
It also includes Stop Watch...
Works on WM6.. never let me down except that one time, my SD card was accidentally ejected. My fault though...
And what I found out this morning: With pocketalarm you can use the powerbutton as the snooze button... So I don't even have to open my eyes to snooze
I like the Alarm included with WM6. Lets you set three separate alarms, all with different sound, vibrate and flash options.

Program to automatically switch onto silent between certain times?

Hi,
I don't know about you but I receive emails continuously through the night. it is very annoying to wake up to an email or other notification at 3am! is there a program that switches sound off/on automatically. even using outlook could be an idea?
Will
I use SBP's PhoneWeaver for doing this. You do have to pay for it but it does give you options for times and days of the week to switch profile automatically. You can also have it change things like WIFI/Bluetooth and phone settings automatically, or execute applications as specific times.
If you use the calendar, you can set the phone to do it automatically during the appointments. U need to use the HTC home to do this tho as it's not a standard option. Tried it with my lectures, and it put it onto vibrate during the lecture, then after it went to normal.
PocketZenPhone will do exactly what you want.
http://www.pocketzenphone.net/
Dear Nick,
I was wondering if you could enlighten me on this please? I have had a play around and do not understand what you are talking about?
Will
Well if you Active Sync your outlook or OWA calendar to the device, and set it so it's marked as BUSY. Then using HTC home, u know that plug in for the homescreen you can auto set it to set your phone to vibrate/normal during the periods set. I do it.
Under ring tone tab you click the last one on the list which set's the sound to Automatic. And it auto set's the ring setting.
got it - thank-you......I was wondering what the automatic meant!?!

Philip, are you using this on the TC?
If so, do you also have the HTC home running as well? Does it interfere with any other common plugins?

I only got my Orbit 2 a couple of days ago, so I am still configuring it with all the programs that I was running on my Orbit (Artemis). I only installed HTC Home last night, but it seems to co-exist with PocketZenPhone quite happily.
I have not seen any problems with anything else I am running (mainly PocketBreeze and PocketWeather on the Today screen), but as I said it may be early days yet.
I do wish that there was an easy way to install and configure programs - it's something I dread doing every time I upgrade my handset (and I've been through an XDA II, XDA IIi, XDA Executive, Vario II, Orbit and now Orbit 2). Yes, I do keep all my programs on my storage card, but many still need to be re-installed so that they can write to the Registry, and some other important files (e.g., ring tones, some TomTom stuff, etc) have to live in main memory.
I use Phone Alarm. It can do this and much much more with multiple profiles. I also set AS peak hours so I am not disturbed by emails while sleeping.

HTC Home
Hi, sorry I'm probably being thick but I run HTC Home and I only have the 3 tabs Appearance; Items; and HTC Home. Where do I find the ringtone tab?
Thanks
Go into start, settings, today. Then HTC Home, and untick or tick which of the tabs you require.
Philip, Weather and ZenPhone are fantastic, great recommendations, thank you!
PocketZenPhone is great, and handles profiles particularly well, very powerful, and works a treat!
I'm using them along with Ultimate Launch as well so that I can have "three homepages". If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.
Hi sorry still being stupid. In HTC Home I only have Home, Weather, Launcher, Profile, Favourite People and Music. On the profile tab (back on the Home screen rather than in settings) I have an automatic option but I can't see any settings for it, is this what everyone is talking about? I select that and it will mute my phone during busy time?
Sorry again
Yes, there aren't any options for the profiles, it's normal, silent, vibrate or auto.
Auto is driven by your "busy" time in calendar appointments. In calendar, if you put your time as busy, it will go to vibrate (or silent).
PocketZenPhone has a much better profiling tool. I've been running it since yesterday, and it works very well. Free trial available, so give it a go.
Just remember to do a backup first, in case it causes problems, and you have to regress back.

Do you have the HTC Home plugin installed also?? I have Phone Alarm but have been hesitant to load since I purchased the Touch & now the Cruise. Initially there were reports of conflicts with "touchflow". Maybe now this has been addressed. What "skin" are you using & is it displayed on your home screen?
Thanks,

For the life of me, I can not figure out why my phone, ATT Tilt, (when set to vibrate and ring) only vibrates when receiving a call. I've tried it at the "normal" sound setting and at "automatic" and when calling from my landline, it still just vibrates w/ no ringtone. When going into HTC Home 2.1, i check the ringtone and it plays. Any help on the matter? or a good explanation of what the "automatic" sound setting truly does? I feel like an idiot...
ps. sorry that this was posted in the wrong thread.

HTC Home - Automatic Profile

I can't find a help file for HTC Home anywhere, and I don't think this has been posted... anyone know what the last ringer profile is in HTC Home? It says "Automatic" at the top but I have no idea what that means.
I think that u can specify when it changes from ring to vibrates based on day and time...cant work out how to set it up though. If someone who knows could explain would be awesome

I think that when this profile is selected the device vibrates during appointments defined in the calendar and rings otherwise. But I have never tested.

Yes, that's what it does.
It goes changes when you have an appointment that is set to busy and changes back when it's over.

Almost but not quite. It goes to vibrate whenever there is an (so any, not just busy) appointment in the calendar and goes back when not. The idea of an automatic profile is great but it's executed rather ****ty in this case. Whenever I have a birthday on my calendar for example, my phone will be on vibrate all damn day.
If someone knows a fix, please enlighten us.
I tried it today... I checked before class ended and it was on vibrate. After class ended it was still on vibrate... does it change over when a call comes in? I'd love to be able to rely on this but I don't need to impress my professors with Kanye West ringtones...
BTW: Does the phone have an "immediate silence" button like most do? I know on my Moto and Samsung phones the side buttons usually did the trick... immediately silence the ringer but still allow it to go to voicemail?

If you really want a function like that, you're probably better off with something like phoneAlarm or some other freeware. They tend to have more options as to how you want it to function.
I have a similar question - I always keep my Tilt set on "Vibrate", but when I enter a new appt. in Calendar, it switches by itself to "Ringtone", and I have to keep switching it back. Any suggestions about how to keep it on "Vibrate" would be greatly appreciated!
Hi,
has anyone yet got an answer to this!!
I also found the similar issue. I have lot of birthdays / holidays and other all day events in my calendar and automatic profile always goes to vibrate mode whenever I have any all day event in my calendar!!
Is there anyways I can set it to switch to vibrate only if my calendar status is busy and not for other events/appointments when status is not busy??
Thanks.

Unfortunately not with HTC Home. It's pretty stupid in its implementation of a very nice feature.
+1, I used a lot this feature on my smartphone where sound profiles were implemented by WM, but now I am on a pdaphone with htc manila 2D and I have the same problem: vibrate mode on any appointment, even if it's a free appointment. Too bad Maybe someone is able to write a small tool to perform automatic profile in right way? Or find any msdn doc so I could try to write it in with .NET... I've searched a little on how to switch the sound profile but with no success.

I've had similar experience - automatic profile is totally unreliable on every wm 5, 6, & 6.1 phone I've tried it on. Sometimes it works and sometimes it "forgets."

I think you'd better use the Spb phone suite. The automatic profiles from Spb works perfect on appointment (based on busy status of busy or out of office...). Also it provides the time based profile which will switch profile upon the setting time frame. I have used this software for almost 1 year and felt very happy with it.

Repeating alert for new SMS

Hi guys,
I am just wondering if there is any app out there that can provide repeating alert when there is an unread sms.
For example i have my phone in my pocket and i might have missed the ring and vibration the first time it alerts me, but i would not be able to see the flashing light in the D-pad since it is in my pocket.
What would be nice if there is a repeat alert system which will ring the phone and vibrate the phone again in a short period of delay say every 3minutes, until the sms has been attended to.
Let me know if there is any useful app that could do the trick! thanks!
I'm using alarmPal and it works perfect! You can also try OS Remind Me But alarmPal is having more options. Here you go
SPB Phone Suite does this and also missed call reminders and notification rules etc.

alarmPal is the minimal version of phoneAlarm, which not requires a today plugin. So if you're looking only for an extra notification on all kind of alers, choose alarmPal.

Annoying sounds at night when using alarms

My ATT Tilt is set to retrieve my e-mail every 15 minutes. When I use my "Alarms" to wake me in the morning I get awakened if I get a message or e-mail during the night. Is there a sound profile or something that would allow sound for just the alarm and silence the message notices? WM 6.1
I have read where phones with WM6.1 have this feature. Go to Settings->system->clocks & alarms. Go to the "more" tab. There should be a selection available to sound alarms even when device is set to silent or vibrate. Then you can set your phone silent and still get your alarm. Hopefully it is there. It is on this cooked one I'm using.
There is only one option under the more tab. it is "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs."
then just disable the notifications sounds for texts and email. my email notification is silent. and noone is stupid enough to send me a text in the middle of the night (except my sister on occasion when she gets drunk)

take a look at phonealarm application if you want to have full control on your notifications/sounds/profiles etc.
Thanks. I looked at the ap. It's $25! I might try the trial version, but I don't think I want to spaend that much for such a minor annoyance.
