G1 Sleep Mode - G1 Android Development

I seems that when the phone goes into sleep mode so does the pull e-mail feature. From reading in other forums. Does anyone know if com.android.email app can be excluded from the sleep mode process.

[REQUEST] [APP] Timer to Disable Silent/Airplane?

I want to take a nap, and not be bothered for at least a few hours. But I want to be woken up by calls later on (just not for a few hours). Is there any app that will disable silent mode or even better disable Airplane mode, on a timer?
IE Put my phone in Airplane mode, and automatically disable that X hours from now. Does such an app exist?
Just an idea... Passing out now...

Locale can do this, I believe.
So can settings profiles. Pay app though.
So does PhoneWeaver. Tried and tested.
I have the same idea at Paul. I have mine in Airplane mode while I sleep.
I hv been using Timeriffic. It has several timers depending on days and it has control over wifi/bluetooth/volume/brightness/airplane mode/etc. AND IT'S FREE!
Lately I've switched to StudioKUMA AirPlane Scheduler because it can keep your wifi on when it turns on the airplane mode (normally when u turn on airplane mode the wifi will be forced off). Free as well.
EDIT: Ops, sorry. I reread and found you need a timer instead of a scheduler... Ignore plz...
Try BuzzOff http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.branchcut.buzzoff

[Q] Power saving through Tasker

I consider our Tablet to be different than a phone, in the sense that when we turn off the screen, we dont need all the background functions still running. Currently I see TF101 deep sleep battery drain caused by many different functions running in the backend...for example the location services api.
I was thinking of creating a Tasker script that turns off as many different things as possible a few minutes after the screen is turned off.....And turns them back on when the device is unlocked.
I didn't want to spend time reinventing the wheel if this has already been done....
Anyone already try this? Results?
thanks.
I decided I was over-thinking it...and went with tasker scripts to
a) Auto Turn on Airplane mode when the screen goes off
b) Auto Turn off Airplane mode when the device is unlocked.
(This involved using the "Secure Settings" plugin app to allow Airplane mode via tasker on 4.2 JB)
So far the results have been good. i don't see those map api's being called during deep sleep.

auto flight mode APP required.

I used to install addintimer as my auto flight mode APP.
But after 4.4.x, the author seems to stopped developing the APP.
Is there any alternative solution?
All I ask is set the phone to go fight mode when I sleep and enter stand by mode before I wake.
The flight mode period would be from 1:00am to 7:00am. Which may help to save some battery life.

You could use Tasker or something similar.

Question How to prevent sleep mode turning off on weekends?

Hi,
I like new Modes and Routines being integrated within Settings. Didn't make sense when it was separate app.
I need my sleep mode to turn off at 6am on Weekdays and 10am on Weekends.
But it turns off Sleep mode on 6AM on Saturday. Which is ok by design but absolutely against common sense. Because in Sleep mode I can setup few not overlapping time periods. So Sleep mode should be applied to each period individually. But it apparently doesn't work this way.
Am I doing something wrong?
Workaround: use sleep mode for Weekdays and Routine for Weekends. Or in other words: setup two routines instead of one.

Question Sleep Mode - Turns on an Alarm in the Morning? Can't Turn off?

I noticed this on my S22U XSA updated to one UI5.1. Sleep mode (designed to turn off notifications, etc) turns on an alarm at the end of sleep mode.
Even if I change sleep mode to tell it not turn on an alarm, the next day, it is back with an alarm on.
Does anyone else use sleep mode who has seen this?
Does anyone know how to provide feedback to Samsung?
Well...I experienced the same and this on both the S21 ultra and the S22 ultra since the update to UI5.1
Been playing around with it and it seems that the sleep mode triggers it.
I have now do not disturb activated and sleep deactivated.
So in effect do not disturb does the same as sleep mode that all notifications, calls etc are blocked unless you allowed different. At the end do not disturb goes off without an alarm. I have it set for the full week including weekend,
I have not really understood the idea of this sleep mode except that it has more options than a simple alarm.
I couldn't turn off the alarm today ... Pressed so many times and nothing happened.
Had to unlock and exit the app.
I discovered this by accident the other day, super irritating "feature" imo - I already have an alarm set (which, through the magic of Tasker and intents, triggers my Home Assistant server to do a bunch of other stuff) and I figured "sleep mode" would be more like DND, but nope. Sleep Mode got disabled reeaaall quick.
