Hi,
Has anyone experienced this problem?
When looking at images in the TF3D image tab, and turn the phone sideways, it used to auto rotate the picture.
However it no longer does it?
Does it have to do with Auto Config 3.3?
If so which setting should I change to make this work again?
Thanks
I have the same problem after flashing the romeos roms, any help?
did you install the nosleep.cab?
That is the culprit. I had the same problem and had to check each cab that I installed one by one doing hard resets each time. This is the one that messes the auto rotation up in the album and and in the opera browser....

hi. I Disabled MIS1 device using FdcSoft task manager and now I tried to enable/start it again but it just shows error..and now my screen wont get portrait or landscape (depending on where I filp the universal upon soft reset). It will remian at one orientation.
I deleted the exe.file & replaced with another version of the task manager but no success.
Is there any other task managers that i can enable the MISI again? pls help.
p.s. It seems I can't use the cab file "show rotate icon' after using this..
thank you all for your help.
after disabling the automatic rotation, i couldn't turn it back on but for me it's perfect just the way it is now.
thanks.
I like portrait mode, but after using camera it's stays in landscape and i need rotate back to portrait manually

I asked the question and got a working answer:
To re-enable the MIS1: device, set it as automatic using the Task Manager. Then use the registry editor (also in the task manager) to remove the following Keys
"HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\OEM_Misc\Flags"
and
"HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\OEM_Misc\Default Flags"
wait a few seconds, exit the task manager, wait a few more seconds and then soft reset. When the device comes back, automatic screen orientation is once again enabled. I suspect that its just a small bug in the program, and now I have a work-around I'm very happy, but I hope the author does produce a new version
this answer came a bit too late...i did it the hard way.."sprite backup"...anyway..auto switch orientation is actually pretty cool, except, when i flip it during an incoming call..it tends to "lag"...and the call gets unanswered!!! now the problem is...i can't seem to put back the default "show screen orientation" cab file for the tray bar icon!
I've just had a play, and adding a dword value of 1000 (hex) with the name of Flags to HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\OEM_Misc\Flags has stopped the auto-rotation, but the little icon on the today screen still works - best of both worlds for me.
Cheers,
Steve.

Looks like there may be unwanted side effects. Sometimes the screen's backlight times out, despite having that setting switched off, but it does come back on if you touch the screen, and sometimes the screen doesn't go off when you close the clamshell. :-(
Cheers,
Steve.
I tried to use very intereresting soft GSen but without success...After instalation and manually activation (by GSen.exe) it turns only File Explorer window or in case of activation from Programs it turns only Programs window. If I close File Explorer or Programs window it dosnt works...I tried many combination and settings - but without success. Do you have the same experience? Or any advice?
There are 3 files titled Gsen.exe I think... Make sure that if you open the shortcut twice, the second time it pops up a window saying "unload program?"... That's the right one. Also, when you open it, to confirm it's running there will be 1 white pixel at the very top center of the screen. I know for a fact it works on the Touch Pro, as I use it on mine. When it says "unload program" it's asking if you want to disable it, click yes if you don't want to use it anymore... Good luck.
Unfortunatelly a pixel signals that GSen is working...and sreens dont turn :-(

Hmmm... I know there was a config setting where you could choose what programs it does and doesn't work for, use the readme and just browse through the files to see what you can do. I can't say I tested it with a ton of applications, but I got like 3 or 4 to turn (and haven't used it since)... I'm a bigger fan of profile anyhow, I may as well have a Diamond with a memory card slot (excepting emails).
I have the same problem. I use the default configuration. So it should work, but it doesn't work. It just works with the program/window from which it was started.
I've already posted this problem in a German forum where the developer has a sub-forum, but I still didn't get an answer.
Sorry guys, we had an Raphael prototype device with AKU 1.3.1. and pre-alpha ROM for short time (testing time) in the past and it was working.
This is the reason why we wrote: Tested on HTC Raphael (Prototype)
On the basis of the missing new device and ROM, we are not able to check your problems.
Sorry again.
What a bummer! I hope you'll get a new device/ROM to test this soon ;-)
You are not alone with this kind of wishes.
Actually, there is just one VERY annoying problem with GSen 1.7 - it works for me (Touch Diamond, Dutty's 1.9) except onlyfor(1) - if this option is defined, windows are not recognized neither by class no by name or exe name... I believe this is not a matter of ROM, because I had this very problem on default ROM which I flashed to test if GSen will work... I also believe it could be not Diamond-specific...
CharlyV, could you please spend some time to find out if it's possible to resolve this?
Thanks in advance - I'm a loyal and official user of SKTools...
It doesn't work here either...
guys it even says so on gsen home page

This hack does NOT work with the Touch Pro as the Touch Pro will base most of its screen rotation on the sliding keyboard instead.
Gsen automatical loading??
Hey guys.
I've got some beginner's questions.
My gsen doesn't start automatically when I start my Diamond.
Is it normal?
Is it possible to do anything?
Thanks.
place shortcut into Windows\Startup directory

nope dosnt work, set entry to decimal and put 999999 closed and did not do anything inside or outside Opera... what im talking about is a global fix.. not for certain apps as what it appears you linked me to.
bump for fix
AFAIK by default the accelerometer is only working in the HTC Album and Opera Mobile. How is this causing you any issues? Could it be possible that you have some g-sensor program start the support when the device starts?

hmm thats strange, its happening in every program and causing some to crash.. maybe its the ROM i have.. ill try upgrading this weekend.
This is usually not a "ROM problem" specifically.
But your installed rom may include some software that uses the g-sensor to make your screen rotate. Changescreen, gyrator or g-sen are some examples of such software.
This is what you have to tweak so that all apps do not rotate automatically.
But you definitely can't "turn off the g-sensor".... just add crashing apps to the rotating software black list.
I installed 1.48 and a few apps and now I noticed that my emailpreview doesn't allow me to open them directly by tapping but now I have to first go to inbox and that sucks. any fix?

Until it's fixed by HTC you can 'fix' it yourself: Tap on the Windows button and select Lock at the bottom. Preview should work then (I have no idea when it will stop working again).
Strange bug...
Thanks mate !
been locking with s2u2 since the update and was wondering about the bug as well, cause I like the HTC lock better. Works fine again. Thanks

Thank you very much ukadvantage! I was so frustrated with loosing this feature that was nearly hard resetting my HD2. Now it works! I hope HTC will fix in further ROM versions.
i always mistakenly touch the wrong button when making call and picking up the phone when the phone is tilt! how to disable it? many thanks!
Try uninstalling the program that rotates it. The native Sense doesn't do that.

we need a bit more information. The way how to manage the rotation depends on the application that does it. so, did you install thrid party software for rotation or did you change the settings in registry under whitelist for the G-Sensor sdk by HTC?
thanks! i have install the latest BsB, i have tried to uncheck the box of phone but cannot find which item is correct actually! please give me some idea! many thanks! what is the correct name item i should uncheck!??
Im fine now because i flashed a custom rom so im reset but i used bsb tweaks to rotate dialer which worked but didnt like it rotating in call so i changed my mind. I removed "phone" from the permissions in bsb tweaks and although the dialer screen no longer rotated the in call screen still did. Didnt know why as i had removed permissions.
