Diamond headphones - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Accessories

Hello!
I usually use my HTC diamond as a mp3 player and I'm using the original headphones which came with the phone. But, sometimes, I put my diamond plugged in with the phones inside my jeans pocket and due to the key it has on the headphones, it makes the phone call the last number i've dialed. Is it possible to disable that key?
thanks!

My problem too
that's exactly my problem. for the love of god, help us!

[Q] Dr. Dre Solo HD and HTC Desire HD?

Hey guys, bought the Dr. Dre Solo HD headphones a while back, absolutely loved them since. I've used them on my iPhone 4 for a while now and they work properly and as they should. With the buttons allowing the volume to go up and down, to pause/play music, answering phone calls etc.
Do they work on the HTC Desire HD? I'm getting a new phone soon and this seems to be one of my options? I'm pretty sure you've heard this question before, but I've been trying to Google the question and have found nothing!
Some help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks in advance!
could work
i tried the standard ipod headset with my older hd2 and they didnt work..

I would try it, but then if it doesn't work I'm stuck with the Desire HD for 18/24 months on contract, with my headphones not working. It's a relatively key factor for me getting the phone or not really!
Go to a phone shop and try them out on a device. If one of the workers has a desire HD, cant see them saying no to you trying out your headphones. Or make friends with someone who has a desire HD
I know I could go to a store and ask but it's far easier asking somebody on here! Surely there's somebody who's tested it lol
Hi,
I've already try the Desire HD but it seems that it doesn't work for the volume.....but I'm not sure because I just try it for 2 minutes because I wanted to compare with my Studio ( btw it works great for switch song or phone call )
I took 5 minutes and in a french forum, i found that you can only switch the song ( by double press ), pause/play and answering phone calls.. so you can't up and down the volume or choose previous song....
EDIT : tested on HTC desire so I think it's the same thing..
Seems good enough for me. Everything works aside from the volume usage? That's more than fine.
Thank you very much for letting me know!

Listening to music with headphones (automatic calling)

Sometimes even when I shake it.

Definitly not the issue cuz mine does the same with bluetooth and listening to music...not often but enough to make it annoying. Screen off then back on usually fixes it but wtf
It's the headphone plug that doing it. It can happen if it moves around in the jack
It's the phone. I had the same issue. To prove it, connect your headphones then tap on the jack a bit. U will see that it will start making calls. Turn the phone in and get a new one

Had a similar problem on my Nexus One until I got the 3-part headphone (the ones with the controls and mic) The phone was randomly skipping songs and putting itself on Party Shuffle.
On my Sensation, the problem occurs regardless. It's really frustrating, it once made 10 phone calls to a person before I realized what was going on.
You can try "call confirm" from the market. Then you will only get a popup instead of a direct call. Maybe together with "automateit" to enable and disable it automaticly if needed.
Return Phone
I had the same issue with mine and the wifeys... returned both units in and got new ones and it never happened again, called htc and they acknowledged it was a design defect on their end. No software fix for this issue......hope this helps.
solution
anyone having this problem should try this solution it worked for me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301998

[Q] Need Another Earphone...

Hi Everyone,
I have been using SGS for over 9 months now. And i dont find the earphone to be too flexible. I was using the N73 before and the earphone was not good in sound quality but did have some cool features. I expected the SGS (being more expensive and a nice smartphone) to have the same capabilities as that one. The N73 headset could receive calls and also change music like skip to the next track or go to the previous track and start and stop music and increase decrease volume. I becomes a pain when you have to take out the phone and change the song or increase/decrease the volume. Plus cant receive the calls as well with the headset!
Are there any headphone made for SGS in which i can get all these features? Please advice!
No intention of highjacking this thread but have the same query. Been using sgs past 2months

I would but that link is a bit off. It talks mostly of headphones. And the purpose of the thread is mainly music, whereas mine isn't solely music oriented, it more to do with flexibility.

Skype sound output problem

All the Skype video calls I was making used to be outputting their sound over the phone speakers. Recently, however, this seems to have changed. The sound is now only outputted via the earpiece, and I do not seem to be able to find the cause of the change, nor how to change it back. There is no speaker toggle button. Makes the video calling fairly cumbersome, since I have to put on the headphones (or Bluetooth), and cannot have a couple of people take part in the call at my end. The recent upgrade (2.5) did not correct the problem. What is annoying is that it was working OK before. I am just not sure before what. Any ideas anybody? Android 2.3.4 (stock HTC/T-Mobile), Skype is most recent stock version.

try viber.
I just used this like 2hrs ago, Toggle the mic button. I thinks it's a red icon, I've had this problem before. If not then try clearing the data. Let's us know.
Switching to another tool (viber) is not an option - it would take me less time to re-code Skype from scratch myself than to get my parents on a different program.
This is still an issue. The only way I am able to work around it is to quickly plug in my earphones and the unplug them. That seems to force skype to switch to the speaker away from the earpiece. I guess I'll have to deal with this until a future version takes care of it (hopefully).

Im using some skullcandy aviators and it has a mic on it (I believe) but the bigger issues for me is that the buttons for volume and song control don't work do you guys know of any headsets with mics that work. I just hate having to hold my phone in my hand if im moving around, listening to music, then get a call so that I can talk through the speaker on the phone. Any help would be appreciated.

I seen some Android headphones in radioshack the other day but Im wondering if theres some kind of app to give us funtionality?? I doubt it but I can hope I guess
The problem is that the Atrix 2 uses the new OMTP 3.5 mm jack which has the ground and the mic switch compared to a standard 3.5 mm jack. In order to have a functioning mic you would need an OMTP compatible headset or find an adapter.
I have had problems finding either...but finally found one made by nox audio (but can't find a place that actually sells it) and one made by blueant which you can order from their website (it is a spare part for their over ear headphone). I plan to buy one and try it and see if it works.

Ok great im going to look into it too, thanks for your answer
My headset seems to work just fine.
It can pick-up/hang-up phone calls. And when not in a phone call, the "answer" button activates the voice search.
They are JVC...I'll have to look tomorrow to see exactly what model.
Check this one
