Portuguese rom from I-mate

Finally we have a Portuguse/Brasilian rom from i-mate.
Anybody with a i-mate IMEI can upload this rom to FTP of xda_developers.
The rom is: jam_10605_169_10500_ship.exe (40MB)

I have a Optimus QTEK S100. As it is locked for that operator, the only way to use it with other is to unlock it. So far I have not found any FREE solution.

I have the same problem that ATHelp... if you solve that, please let us know.

I have unlocked my QTEK using a unlocking service provider. I paid some money (less than 50 USD) and now I am using a Brasilian GSM Operator without any problem. The unlock procedure is very simple.

I solved today my problem. I had WWE TMN and now i have an Optimus in QTEK S100. it's unblocked and working.
É só descompactar o ficheiro, po-lo no PDA e executá-lo, faz-se um reset e se pedir algum codigo colocas 4 zeros..

Hi wsbrf,
For english you have a large selection of cooked Rom's available and even the base HTC Rom, so you only have to choose which one you want to install. Not sure if you have to first install the Hard SPL on your Kaiser, but this you will find out by reading each Rom's requirements.
For Portuguese, i guess you are not so lucky, i have seen a couple of requests but have not found a single Rom so far, but search the Kaiser Upgrading forum and you might get lucky.

I too had a swedish HTC Tytn II that I changed the ROM for. I did the HardSPL first and then flashed the ROM. Since the keyboard is mapped for Swedish, you may want to use the swedish cab file that remaps it. Even though you don't want the swedish keys, it will be all funky when you type, ie keys not matching what your keyboard looks like.

Hi, mate...
I'm trying to understand what you need.... well, your hardware is swedish, right? but you want your ROM in english or portuguese. The second one is not posible for now, so you can put english ROM and install a CAB to make the autocorrection on portuguese...
The CAB posted in the thread on my signature also changes your hard kb to portuguesse, so this will not work fine for your swedish hard kw, so le me know if i'm right and i'll try to adapt a CAB for you...

Ok, let me try to pack a CAB with the swedis map for your keyboard (this map allows you to use your swedis hard keyb with the symbols you see in your keyb), and the portuguesse autocorrection and dictionary...

I noted you have been able to convert your HTC TyTn II to English. I am a Novice and have a Swiss German Mobile Device which is in German. I have NO ability to READ, Speak, OR UNDERSTAND this Language. I have executed the Hard Spl. that was given and works perfeckly, I have also Ulocked the Simlock as well. This Mobile was given to me as a Loyal client from Orange. So now to USE This Mobile device I NEED the English Rom to operate it properly. Would You be so Kind to assist me in this matter. Not long ago i started a thread about the same deal (the PTG Rom).
The given rom was already saved so you need not to worry.

Two steps are needed to back up your ROM
1) You must dump the ROM. You will simply dump RAW data.
2) You must reconstruct the dumped RAW data into a ROM so it can be flashed to your device.
Step 1: Follow the guidelines of this following thread to dump the ROM:

I remember when I was new here I wanted to do the very same thing. Dumping the ROM isn't that hard, but rebuilding is more complicated. The most important thing is that you dump your ROM (step 1). Since both steps are independant from each other, you can reconstruct your ROM whenever you want. Just keep the RAW dump files somewhere safe for when you need to reconstruct your ROM.

Since your ROM seems to be have been dumped already, it isn't necesarry to do it all over again yourself.

With the tutorial "Rebuild Treo Pro pt-BR ROM Released" (in this section) remake the flashable firmware ignoring point 5/6/7/8 (because you already have the raw dump). Remember that italian use 0410 as number and not 0416.
But if you have problem to make it tell me and i upload the file ready to be flashed

I think it must be a cooked ROM in Spanish, you can´t just change languaje....(not sure)
On my signature you´ll find a link where you can find 2 great kitches so you can cook your own ROM in Español.

I have studied the kitchen of Tomal, Luca and Thing reaching the conclusion that I need to change language files with the code 0409 (WWE) by 0c0a (ESN).
But do not know where to find the language files to replace those 0c0a for 0409.
Anyone have any clue ?????????

Hello ahlmogabar,
I think it would be a mistake trying to translate a rom to spanish language.
Reading your post, your written english seems to be well, I guess you have enough knowledge to use an english rom without problems.
Translation will give you several problems and you will have to do the same work every time our chefs cook a new rom.
Enjoy these fantastic roms and forget translation, it's my advise for you, after my own experience.

Perhaps you can ask to some of the Chefs here, like Tomal or Thingonaspring
Maybe they can help you on that.

Hello mate forgive you challenge but the work I have been kidnapped.
Some cooks would be great if I could get the language files for Spanish, or tell me how to get them.
I see here are for the Chinese.
jacmat, hola paisano.Mi English proficiency I owe it to google translator and although over the years I've gotten used to manage ROM in English prefer to have one in Español.No think he has the experience to translate all the chefs take out but if you would try to mount guided by his advice in Spanish cuisine to draw any ROM where the little free time I have I allowed it.

For the translation you must also modify default.hv searching and replacing the next things:
> 0409 with 0c0a
> Program files - Archivos de Programa
> My Documents - Mis documentos
> etc etc
and in initflashfiles.dat you must replace them too.

Thanks JouSePo had more or less clear that the steps that you indicated is that I need to do to change the Spanish language.
The question remains where I can find the files to replace existing 0c0a 0409.
The file "initflashfiles.dat" This OEM_Lang_0409 folder so if you replace it with OEM_Lang_0c0a would no longer be necessary to replace it right?

Files that you can't find in 0c0a you must to rename it but it runs ok.

Spanish keyboard
I think it will be enough to have the Spanish keyboard layout, translate the full ROM is a hard work, but choosing Spanish language code it is not enough to have the Spanish keyboard. You can write the letter "ñ" by pressing "n" and "SYM" but I would like just to press "ñ"
Anyone knows how to deal with this?

That's not my problem and my device is a Qtek with Spanish keyboard will therefore already incorporates the "ñ" factory, the only downside is that I acknowledge that the keyboard is to change the registry key and put it in Spanish (0c0a) as the ROM's in English with QWERTY as the default in the WWE.
For your problem the only solutions I see are:
1-get the device sold in Spain bearing the "ñ" on the keyboard.
2-get only the keyboard to change the registry and you can leave the configuration of Spanish.
