Hey guys, I've been having this issue for some time now. I've tried every single rom release except for sleuth's new offering. currently im on gullum's touch beta 1. I cannot place this issue on any one rom because it happens on them all. although i can't remember it happening on the original rom that came with tilt. Sometimes when i get a text message or email, when i click on the notification menu to preview the message, it just hangs. Its funny because the rest of the phone is responsive. Or even if i press the mail button the bring up the mail...it hangs there as well. I currently have mail2web...aol...yahoo...and my text message. Anyone else going through this?

so basically i haven't had any problems with the phone yet, i switched it off last night, got up this morning and switched it on and it froze on the black screen where it's supposed to say 'loading touchflo 3d' or something? i don't think it actually reaches that part though. i can see the start button, icons, and bottom menu but it's frozen. everytime i restart this happens now. what should i do :/
edit: is there any way of retrieving my contacts (if i can't actually load into windows)? ..before hard resetting
nevermind i'm too impatient, did the hard reset and the device seems to be working fine so far
Yeah theres a website through Microsoft...its in beta but works..
It allows you to backup all your contacts, emails, txts, pictures etc to your microsoft hotmail storage....

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me.
I just upgrade to the offical Verizon ROM to WM 6.5 and I'm having some issues.
The main problem: I take my phone off of sleep mode or stop it from entering just prior to and my TF3D home screen shows but the banner reads "messaging" instead of "start" like I'm in my messages and the virtual keyboard will pop up. This also happens 85% of the time when I recieve a new txt/mms not with emails however. This is a new development I;ve had the ROM since launch.
Before I call VZW and get stuck on hold for 50 years I figured i would see if anyone else has this issue or knows of a .cab that might fix the issue. I have had luck with .cabs in the past for other issues.
Side note, has anyone successfully stopped the clock from flipping an hour and two minutes? I have checked the fourms downloaded all the .cabs and nothing seems to actually stop it.
I am in the exact same boat as you my friend. I am also having diffuculty locating a background for all tabs .cab and a working rotator for all screens that functions in the VZ TP2 6.5update

I have a very similar problem to you my friend. When I check my messages (txt or emails) and close out of them the Messaging will pop up like yours, although my keyboard doesn't show up. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds sometimes 30 seconds.
My main issue is it will turn my screen back on when this happens. So if I read a txt and close it and I don't wait for it to pop up, my screen will stay on. It's killing my battery life and some funky things happen when its in my pocket turned on..
Any idea if anyone has come across a solution to this?
I updated to the Nightly CM10-20121226. Everything else on the phone seems to be working fine, but the Messenger app. I sent one text this morning to my sister, and received a reply from here, and another text from my brother, but didn't receive a Notification for either text. And also, when I select the Messenger app, it opens but is stuck on the "Loading Conversations" screen. I backed out of it, and Force Closed it, and tried again, to only get the same reaction. I rebooted the phone, and got the same thing again. So I opened the Messenger app again, and let it sit at the "Loading Conversations" screen again for about 15 minutes, with no change at all. Has anyone else had this issue, or does anyone know of a reason that this could be going on?
Been noticing lately on the S8+ that my emails through the Gmail app arent coming through. I'm receiving no notifications about them unless i open the app and pull it down to refresh. Was working fine when I first received the phone, not sure if anyone else is experiencing this? On T-mobile.
Only thing I can think is maybe something I disabled in package disabler but i doubt thats it. I didnt touch anything to do with gmail
Never had this problem, however for non Gmail accounts added to it, i.e. outlook, after deleting an email, a minute later, the email will reappear. It's getting rather annoying, especially when in deleting 5 at a time, they just come back and seem to go away after the 2nd deletion

I've had the same issue. If i delete them from the lock screen, they show deleted. Reappear for a second, buzz and then vanish. this happened on my stock nexus 6 as well so its not a GS8 thing.

Yes i also had a Nexus 6 and the problem was there too and also sorry I didn't read your post properly but I do get the problem you have. When I go to the app, pull the side panel which shows my email accounts, there will be a badge number over it and I have to pull down to refresh. Same problem happened on my Nexus 6 as well, most likely an app problem

hopefully its an app problem. they also need to fix that delete/double notification thing. especially when you delete like 10 emails, it then buzzes 10 times. super annoying

Any updates on this, I'm no longer getting push notifications for my Outlook account. I have to physically go and refresh.

Yea I am still not receiving emails unless I go in and refresh. This is weird because gmail worked on this phone properly, not sure why it randomly stopped. I tried to send an email and it got stuck on "queued" for a little and then sat on sending for a few seconds as well.
All other push notifications are working fine, instagram, facebook, snapchat, text messages, nest, etc... but gmail isn't working. Not sure if its something i turned off in package disabler? did you use that app at all?
update. i have no idea what i did but its working again.
i went into every gmail setting possible, turned it off and back on again. i forced my google account to resync. i disabled notifications and turned them back on. i disabled network access in the background, then turned it back on. ive tested it a few times by sending emails to myself. i also received a notification from a newsletter as well. it is working for now and im happy. hopefully it doesnt stop.
Yep, not sure what's happening with Gmail but I had this issue now on my Nexus6p....
next question, does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying double notification when deleting an email from the notification bar? if its on my lock screen and i expand them and then delete, it deletes and then a split second later it pops up again and vibrates then vanishes. same thing happened on my stock nexus 6
