Hi
I rooted my phone and update my phone to RC31. I was wondering how I could reverse that and go back to the original.
flash the DREAIMG.NBH through the bootloader(camera+power)
So what exactly are the risks of flashing? And what are the benefits besides debranding to get NoDo update? (coz that seems to be the only reason lately)
Is there a way to return to original if everything screws up??
(I mean if i flash to another rom, would i still be able to use the back up created by zune previously?)
If i get back to original, surely i would still be able to use my warranty service?
How do you extract your own rom for back up??
I have an unbranded HTC Mozart 7, running NoDo bought in ASIA
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.12902.707
Thanks
The main risk of flashing is that, if it goes very wrong, you end up with a bricked device. Besides that, it almost always voids any warranty you may have. Right now the only benefits are (possibly) a better radio ROM for your locale and updated internal tools/drivers from the manufacturer.
If you're flashing an official Microsoft update via Zune, then Zune backups can be used. If you're flashing a full ROM via some manufacturer tool, then Zune backups are useless if something goes wrong.
Assuming you can find the original ROM that was installed on your device and flash it back on, then I suppose warranty people wouldn't know that it was ever flashed. No guarantee though.
Is there anyway to revert Mozart to pre nodo , straight from Bootloader 5.01
I tried flashing , it shows me Error 226 , Is there anyway out there , Thanks
Even with a v5 SPL, you should be able to flash an official ROM. Make sure it's for exactly your phone though, not for a different hardware revision or slightly different model. The other option is to use a Zune restore point (created when you install an update), if you kept your old restore points. By default they're overwritten with each successive install.
Hi,
Iam new here and not allowed to post in the right forum, so I`ll give it a try here. Hope you dont mind.
I recently flashed my Samsung Omnia 7 with this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1499102 using the new DFT MAGLDR for Samsung Windows Phone devices & the DFT flash tool. Before I flashed the ROM I didn't notice the I was actually still on Mango 7740 (no Updates available for my device) and the ROM I flashed is actually 8107.
Here is the thing: Zune refuses now to restore my backup data I made with this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346030, because the version of the new ROM is higher than the original.
Now the reason i primarily flashed and unlocked ROM is because I wanted to extract the SMS from my device that have a high value to me and I wanted to store them properly. Now my SMS are gone.
I dont now, if this works, but I thought of this:
Can somebody dump me or send me a dumped 7740 ROM for the (preferably unlocked) Omnia 7, so I can restore my backup and get to my SMS again?
Or does anybody have another idea how I could restore my SMS from the Zune backup?
Your help would be highly appreciated. Thx for taking your time to read this.
I hope somebody can help...
hello. i get out from the beta, to many problems with apps at the phone.
how can i get back to the last firmware ??
I think that you can downgrade through Odin, but don't forget to backup your personal datas beforehand.
Easiest way is to connect the phone to SmartSwitch on PC. It offers donlwngrade and install latest official software. Be aware that downgrade wipes all data so backup is a must.
