The "BCR Business Card Reader" is a Commercial soft, is not freeware.
I´m sorry
BUt surely if welcorn has
both devices and only intends on using his new one there isnt an issue? I am newish here so cannot offer advice on dumping roms but surely there is no license issue here as its one off one on?

Hi Guys whats the best app to read PDF files on the tornado WM6 ?
Also TIF files dont seem to be assosiated with anything what can I use to view them ?
Adobe Acrobat reader for smartphone of course !
Hi Karhoe where can I get this do you have a link ?
I tried the adobe site and got pocket pc version that did not install on wm6 thanks.
I got mine from the Extras folder of Phil's BETA ROM, go to the link in my siggy to my tutorial, then download the extras.zip
Hello Kar Hoe,
What is the file name of Adobe Reader for Smartphone?
Thanks.
Downloaded the extras.zip so far I can't seem to find it either so I am guessing its not there or the naming of the file is not straight forward i.e. "adobe"
Thanks.
Ill upload it, hang on
terima kasih banyak-banyak!!!
wow, you can speak malay, haha
sama-sama (welcome)
Okay then guys - where can I get Microsoft Office for my QTEK 8300?
it should also be in the extras.zip file that karhoe spoke of in his signature

Hi,
could someone PLEASE post the original UK CoPilot software & maps that come installed on the 1gb SD card with the UK O2 Polaris. (*** please note, this is nothing illegal - I have my own O2 supplied license code an a credit card sized piece of plastic, I have just deleted the software from the SD card in error***)
many many thanks
iirc... the s/w and maps are on the supplied CoPilot CD.
if not... moan to O2 that the MSD is broken so they can supply a new one pre-loaded.
on the cd is just copilot central. could some one copy these cabs upto rapidshare please.....
THANKS gusnor
"It's good you have the CD like you say.
i have had a look at my CD the same as yours, it's on:
D:\program files\CoPilot\Central\CentralData"
Hi all,
i am loving the new HTC E-book Reader in the Custom ROMS and was wondering if this could be integrated into a CAB file for all other ROMS?!!
I am running Manila 1921 and a 1.49 Telstra ROM
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i do not plan on flashing my HD 2 to a custom ROM
I will buy the developer who comes up with a solution to my request a round of beers
thanks
200 plus views but no luck
I'm pretty sure i will donate worthy for someone who can make a e-reader for .prc books which have same feature with HTC Reader: pinch-to-zoom, swype to turn 90% of my e-books are prc format. and it's hard to convert to epub format becoz most of them are encrypted with DRM
am with u mate
a donation worthy of the programmer who can pull it off
Yeah, I'd love it if someone could extract the reader from a ROM. I wonder though, what formats the HTC reader can handle?

Dear twilight79,
You can try my APP MOD to get ereader tab and other tabs without installing a custom rom. Hope this helps...

If it works, NO DONATION needed , just for your happiness !!!
Kind Regards...

Yeah, I have done this and it works perfectly. However, I deselected the other additional tabs and rearranged only to leave the reader tab.
PROTOCHIP: Is there any chance of a Reader only Mod, maybe as a standalone cab?

I think Mobipocket http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobipocket can read prc books. not sure about DRM support...

prc (or newer mobi) is the mobipocket format. Mobipocket can of course read DRM prc books. But it is dead. There is no further development because amazon bought the mobipocket company and stopped all. So the best solution is change to epub format. Conversion with calibre is pretty simple. Although for DRM mobipocket books the only legal way is reading with the old mobipocket reader.
Hi guys!
I've come to use from time to time the BCR (Business Card Reader) APP bundled in recent HTC devices.
HD was "bearable", however the HD2 one, even with its 5 MP+autofocus+dual flash camera, has dropped the ball, since it's almost useless (I know of no one getting a single card completely and properly recognized), so I wonder if anyone has got any "older" BCR version to work on the HD2, or any similar SW BTW.
Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
I even bought a dedicated OCR card scanner, (close to 100 $ !!) but performace is also poor and inconvenient (wait till you get back to your office from a business trip, with a few dozens cards to scan..........)
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
The OCR capabilities of WorldCard Mobile are real big sh*t.
I painfully need WORKING business card recognition software for Windows Mobile.
For now much better way is only to save the photos of the business card without terrible recognition of WorldCard Mobile.
I have experience with ABBYY FINE READER and can say - it's the best.
But ABBYY Business Card Reader not available for Windows Mobile

Thanks for your advice, I'll try to find the ABBY BCR, though some others are available for PCs.
Just a shame HTC did bundle such a useless piece of crap into the HD2.
