How to have biggest resolution in Panorama camera ? - Touch Cruise General

In photo camera, i can set it to 3M resolution but in panorama , i can't do that. It's just only L . How to change it to 3M ?! I use Kaiser_tweak software and there is a funtion say that it can set Panorama to 3M per shot but it's not work.

late answer, just discovered how to do it:
HKLM/Software/Camera/P6/MainCamCaptSize set to 0x400 (1024)
HKLM/Software/Camera/P6/MainCamSupportCaptSize set to 0x6D4 (1748)
I got 4500x1500 pictures (size depends on the 3 pictures used for the panorama)

Camera setting

I noticed that the camera lens opening is different in still mode from the camcorder mode. Is there a reason for that? I don't like the setting of the still mode because is zoomed out.

I think you are referring to the fact that in video mode you have a narrower field of view than in still photo mode. This is due to the fact that in order for the camera to record video at 1280 x 720 (0.921 mpx) rezolution, it is used only that particular portion of the entire 3.2 mpx sensor. That's why you have a narrower field of view when shooting videos, in contrast with the still picture mode.
Thanks for your answer. That's exactly what I was referring to. I wish the same portion would be used for still pic. Any suggestion for a good camera app with zoom ?
Have you tried Camera Zoom FX? It had zoom up to 6x digitally or optically.

Of course zooming will be crap. Its digital zoom, not optical.
All it does is reduce the resolution("cut" the image"), and then upscales it once the picture is taken.
Its better not to use the zoom, and then "zoom" yourself in PS or something. The end result will be better.

[Q] Different image size

Hello,
*I have isocell sensor but when i take a picture with the stock camera the size of the pictures is about 4-5 mb and when i take a picture with fv-5 app the size is almost doubled
like 9-10 mb
It is normal?
Maybe the stock camera is set to take photos with lower quality?
The fv-5 take better photos?
Someone help pls
Most likey set on a different resolution.

Camera resolution setting

Hi guys,
which camera resolution setting do you use: 20M 5120x3840 (4:3) or 12M 3968x2976 (4:3)?
The 12M is great as it has a zoom option, but the 20M obviously it is better resolution. The picture quality, myself I can not tell much difference.
Thing is, I do not always take zoomed pictures, but when I do, it is so time consuming to go to settings and change the resolution, and tehre is no easy swipe or shortcut to do so.
Which setting you guys on?
Use 12M. Smaller file sizes, same quality, you can zoom in etc. No use in 20m
You can always zoom later by cropping in from the 20MP image. I hope you don't imagine the zoom function being anything else than cropping.
Usually 20MP. If I really want to zoon I just switch to 12MP. But most often I do not use the zoom at all during shooting.
I just wish there was a faster way for changing these. (Also HDR) Would be cool if after zooming in 20MP it would just automatically switch to 12MP.
I like to play with the camera in the PRO mode, but on the go and so on I usually use the auto mode. Just sometimes I cancel the AI as I don't always want the corrections it makes.

The main camera is 12mp so you'll get no extra quality out the 20mp option.

Open Camera now allows P20 PRO to record video using all lenses

Hi all, you might know this already but I just found out and it seems like absolutely great news for this phone. The latest Open Camera update allows you to record video using every camera on the phone. Even the monochrome one works. No need to have perfect lighting conditions in order for the camera to switch between main and telephoto. You now have a dedicated camera button which lets you select what lens to use. Did you get the chance to try it out? I didn't have any issues yet.
Link please
Here it is:

Is the recording quality improved?
I'm not sure. You do have to option to record with maximum 80Mbps but I I find it hard to tell if that is any different from the 30Mbps standard rate. Video looks crisp and clear, colors are very good, especially if you lock the white balance.
Quality seems not as good.. Also can not use Camera API 2, for high res to get extra control in manual mode.
I'm not sure why you can't use camera2 api. For me it works and I can select iso and exposure during filming. I have a CLT L29.

whats your max resolution for recording video using Camera2 API?
For the 40mp lens and the telephoto lens, I have 3840x2160. The monochrome camera however has a resolution of 3264x1840 for video.
Sorry for necropost, but anyone tried open camera for B&W photos? Does it allow exposure bracketing? Raw or at least png for file saving? I would like to try p20 pro just for that monochrome lens...
You can save RAW with the B&W camera but for some reason the pictures appear purple.
