Auto Lock Problem - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Does anyone know how to fix the dim problem when Auto Lock on? I change the registry Auto Lock from 0 to 1, after that, my back light is not adjust able, it is off all the time.

I had the same probelem. I just ajusted the backlight option Turn off backlight if device is not used for to off.
Start>Setting>Power>Advanced tab and than uncheck that option.
Now the screen will not dim and so it will not stay dim after unlock. I know it's not the best solution but it works

Not a ROM Development issue.
Thread Moved.

Light Sensor + Auto backlight brightness

hello
I like light sensor, it is really cool.
But is there any chance to set that whatever value is set for backlight, is to be THAT_VALUE-2 when Auto adjust backlight is checked in System->Power->Backlight tab
for example...
if the system set backlight value on 10, i would like to have 8
or in dark places if system set backlight value on 4 i'd like to have 2....
is this posibile?
As far as I know there's an application called Auto Light, which can probably be useful for you. Search the forum.

WM brightness problem

I have Omnia i900. In short ... I want the brightness always at max, I don't care about battery... even when it's locked because the visibility at sunlight is poor and I can't even see where to press to unlock!
I installed Advanced configuration tool and set the screen to always bright, but that didn't help. When I lock the phone its getting dimmed. Another weird thing is that the setting in Advanced Configuration Tool is getting back to dimmed after I unlock it. I guess the WM6.5 lock utility is changing some registry key.
anyone? .
Is Auto Brightness turned on? If so, it will override manual controls.
No... is have set the brightness manual to max. But whatever I set, manual or auto... the screen gets dimmed when you lock the phone. I need (maybe a registry) or something that would turn the screen brightness to max while locked.

[Q] How to disable screen dimming during navigation

Okay so I discovered that Auto brightness in CM7 is messed up so instead I am using manual brightness setting. So far so good, but when I use Google navigation, after a while the screen dims to lowest brightness and wont go back to my brightness till the navigation app speaks next instruction and then it dims again after a timeout.
Anyway to turn this annoying behaviour off?
Does changing the screen timeout setting help?
The one under Settings > Display > Screen Timeout is the setting I'm reffering to.
No, that only affects the screen turning off. It remains on, just dims to lowest brightness
Give this app a whirl. You can select an app and while in the app you selected (navigation/maps/whatever) the screen will never turn off. I don't think it will dim either.
You have to use navigation thru car home to prevent that.

Auto Brightness on Jelly Bean

Auto brightness isn't working all of the sudden on the Jelly Bean OTA. It was and now no matter what I do once I unlock the screen after hitting the power button the screen will go all the way to it's dimmest setting. It doesn't matter if I have auto brightness turned on or off and any toggle widgets don't work to change any settings. It's really annoying. Anyone else having this problem?
The problem I am having with auto brightness is over sensitivity ... the screen brightness changes at an incredibly annoying pace! I shot a video to post in the private Motorola soak test forum, but I got very little response to it - seemed like I was the only one experiencing it.
Sorry for the blurry video - shot it real quick at work...

Well I'll be!!! I figuured out what was wacking out my auto brightness ... thought I'd post it to see if it can help you.
I've always gone into "Developer options" and turned off both "window animation scale" and "transition animation scale". I returned those both back to the stock setting (.5x) and no more wackiness!

Any way to disable the Auto Dim (adaptive brightness) feature?

I know they mean well, but I do not like being forced to use the new Adaptive Brightness (aka Auto Dim) feature and I cannot find a method to disable it.
I keep my display on a low brightness setting, usually a 3 or 4. When the Adaptive Brightness kicks in, the screen is too dim. The only way I can find to "correct" this is to set the brightness higher, much higher. A counter productive solution.
Is there another way to turn off, or disable this unwanted feature?
