Blackstone 20757 Cooking Base - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Well, b16b PM'd me and asked if I could port the Touch HD ROM to the Kaiser. So I did. I used the recently released 3.34.721.2 as a base to port the XIP and SYS folders (the OEM is from 3.34.721.2). All the folders are included in the .rar package (OEM, ROM, and SYS). I changed all of the 192_DPI folders in the SYS with the coorresponding 96_ DPI folders from the 3.34 base. Other than that, these are straight ports. NOTHING HAS BEEN REMOVED. You will need to clean the ROM yourself.
Happy cooking.

my friend you are magician
thank you very much.. nice work..

No problem. I tested it out and didn't notice any problems. Again, it's a "full" base. All the OEM apps, SQM, etc. are still in, so you'll have to remove them manually. Enjoy.

great job KMFM$! I will try this out ASAP!! What HardSPL would you recommend?

I suggest cmonex's 3.29 Hard2 SPL. You can also use jwocky2000's HardSPL's, but I suggest you check out cmonex's.

I just updated the first post with the information. It would be easier for the chef to dump 3.34 and replace the 20757 BT files in SYS with the 3.34 BT files. Swap those out, G'Reloc, and you should be good to go. Easier than waiting for me to update and upload all three parts again.
Though, if enough people have problems, I may do it.

Well, I'm going to go through this build and clean it up for people (a la akadonny's 'Supa-Clean' builds). I hear the bluetooth needs to be fixed, so I'll look at the calculator issue while I'm going through the build.
I'm going to try and work on it tonight, but I cannot make any promises. I'd say look for an update sometime this week.

Looking forward to it...

Hey KMFM,
I'm really looking forward to a 'Supa-Clean' build of this. It's great to be able to load what you want. I'm just stepping into this world of ROM cooking so i'm still learning (I read, read, read, try, try, try and read some more) and would like to have this (supa-cleaned) as my base.
thank you and all others who have contributed to this addicting world of cooking here at XDA

I'm going to have to take a look at the base and compare to the Blackstone ROM to figure out what precisely needs to be switched out. I should have time Thursday to look at it. Barring any more distractions, of course.

I also ask other chief to figure out ...

KMFM,
First off, nice contribution!
I was looking inside each RAR file you posted and didn't realize what is different. Can you please clarify?
I cooked already and is working fine. I just missed most icons under System and Connections tab like GPRS, HSDA, Backlight, etc.
It generally happens when I move between different XIPs and SYS packs.
But under my latest one using XIP 757 from Blackstone mixed with 758 SYS pack, it doesn't happen. How's that? Any idea?
thanks a lot!
Cheers

Well, you need each rar to complete the archive. I split the archive so that the file sizes were small enough to attach directly to the site. So even though one file looks like the whole thing, you need all three to successfully extract the archive.
As to your question about the icons, that's weird, because I've found those icons to be controlled by mxipupdate_HTC_*.provxml ( I cannot remember the full name). Look for it in OEM\OEMApps or OEM\OEMDrivers, I think it's in one of those folders.

i have replace all the BT folders and working great to me..
only to issues the activesync running in background and when i'm in simple Gprs area i don't have the G but this angle <-X-> but i have found fix for this.. i trying to find for activesync now..

EasyLZX - Yet ANOTHER Kitchen - This one is for the cooks

This is strickly for cooks. Ever wanted to have more free space? Ever looked at my ROM and thought, "#$%[email protected], Ivan's ROMs have TOO much free space!" Well, here is your chance! lol
OK, enough of the corny commercial tone, here it is. Just place your preferred OEM and SYS folders into the Place_Here directory and your favorite XIP (from your ROM's ROM\XIP directory) into the Place_Here directory and double click on RunMe. You can figure out the rest. ;-) The OS-new.nb in the temp folder will be it.
I'm still using Aserg's imgfs.bin and cecompr.dll so the XIP's version will display incorrectly. The LZX compression also likes to use a bigger pagepool in order to perform well. It's not required, but it will fly at the bigger pagepools. This kitchen is based on an old kitchen... so it won't have all the new snatzy features of 'em new fangled kitchens. (i.e. it will not reallocate all modules) so you will probably be better doing everything in your regular kitchen and then moving everything here.

You can modify it also, if you have their kitchen files. If you don't, then I'm afraid there's not much you can do with another cook's ROM in general.

\OEM
\SYS
\ROM
are created by dumping an existing ROM, and every ther chef creates/assembles his or her own collection of packages.
_Alex_'s Kitchen had all the packages as a seperate download, just for convinence, I image most are out of date now.
The kitchen is just the collection of tool's used for cooking. The dumped ROM and packages are for you to add
EDIT:
Yardie,
I'll try and give this a go when I get home, I am still using _Alex_'s because I like the dumping capabilities.

Thanks for the kitchen. Ill give it a try tonight. Ive been using Mbarvians Kitchen for awhile now. It sometimes dosent play too nice with vista. Well actually none of the kitchens ive used work exactly right with vista.
Its funny because I can cook a rom on my vista machine and it will cook fine. I can cook the same rom on my xp machine with the exact same kitchen and it will cook fine. If you compare the two buildosX-missed.txt files, they are completely different.
So far cab to package has not worked in any kitchen on vista. If im on my vista machine i have to make OEMs by hand.
Ill let you know how it goes.
Thanks again

No with the newest WMDC and SP1 you should be good to go.
Your first flash will probably come up an error. It takes a minute to install HTC USB driver once you go to spl screen. Just restart the ruu and your good to go. It wont do it again after that.
thanks for the share yardie!
this looks great. I'm gonna put it through a test run real quick and return the results

Cooking Question
I am a noob, but this is quesiton is more generalized to the best way to cook a ROM and minimize the time needed to update a ROM. I ask this because I hate having to flash a ROM everytime something gets updated. I would like to get a base rom that can stay put and update only the programs that need updating. Does this make sense? Its like reloading windows everytime I need to update my antivirus...
Thanks

Set up your UC and put PIM backup on your storage card, that is the best way to save time updating, i can see what your saying, but chefs cook their updates in as this speeds up the rom(debatable!) So at the mo no way of updating without flashing.....although you could search out/ make cabs for the updates you want.
Slightly aggravated...
I recently acquired a brand new HTC AT&T Tilt. It'll be here in about 7-10 days.
I decided I was going to start getting my kitchen ready so I could be prepared and get cooking once the phone arrives but I've tried like 6 kitchens including this one and I can't get ANY of the Kaiser or Tilt ROMS to decompile into clean packages. They all decompile into junk with nothing but a huge OEMAPPS folder.
Does anyone know how to successfully decompile a Kaiser or Tilt ROM into clean, organized packages?
Thanks in advance,
Dan.

I need the 21109 ROM folders.

I cant get any of the extracts working. Who has the ROM folders for 21109. I need it to continue working on my ROM. PLEASE HELP. I would really really appreciate it ive spent the past 3hours googling and asking around to no luck. =[ Thanks

Same here mate, tried to get it working with no joy, tried the patches, ect.. gave up in the end. Settled on the Dusk theme.
Have you read up on the HDwall thread?
HDWallS isn't actually needed if you don't need to preview a folder full of CAB wallpapers. If you know which one you want you can just run/install the CAB without the program.

Hello,
my problem is nearly the same. I´ve installed the HDWallpaper Patch, after this the HDWall Cab. Now i just see the hdwall on the top and on the buttom. Central there is just another wall.
The next idea was that my Manila is so up2date that i don´t need the HQ Patch and uninstalled it. The Result was the as with Patch.
Please Help me I´m going crazy
Try installing the wallpaper cab one more time or 2. Sometimes it's a bit picky and doesn't overwrite a file it should, even if it's usually the opposite, wallpaper works but not the top/bottom bars. Note you need the correct HQWallpaper patch for your manila version.
So, i tried it 2 more times. It doesn´t work. Do you now where i can find a patch for my manila version?

So. Everything is good. Everything good
Agh Ok, this is not working for me and I installed everything, step by step (including the correct patch!) I just uninstalled everything. Will try to just load the .cabs on there without HDWallS.
