Automatic email download - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello there dear raphaellers
ive set up the phone to automaticly turn on the wifi (with Phoneweaver - and it should connect to my wifi at home) to download email from gmail (settings are to download emails every 5 minutes).
the problem is, the wifi turns on, but wont connect when in standby (screen turned off), so no emails are being donwloaded. When i manually turn the wifi on (and screen is on) it works. is there a solution? I would like to wake up in the morning with my emails synchronised...

all wm devices function like that...
although i think it may be possible to change something in the registry

Use advance Configuration tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151... wifi will stay on even on standby mode, but it will consume your battery..

Internet turn itself automaticly on

Ok i have this problem i have a prepaid simcard so i dont have any mbs. But the problem is that my connection turns itself automaticly on even if i manually turn it of, it wil turn itself back on in 5 minutes. I have a samsung galaxy mini 2 GT-S6500D with root and universal OC kernel.
There is probably an app that you have that is turning it on. FB/G+/Twitter? Maybe something that is broadcasting your location (Maps, some radio app)? In web just doesn't turn itself on, something has to initiate it.
You can use something like JuiceDefender from the market to kill the data when the screen is locked. In JD+, you can set it to be app specific as well.
Airplane mode?

My WiFi Problem

I tried to resolve this problem for quite a while without success . I connect to a WiFi without problems by pressing radio button or through settings. Also I can disconnect without problems. But there is this thing: I am connected at my home lets say on WiFi and I go without turning off my WIFI to another place lets say work, and my phone won't connect to that WIFI automatically (radio button for WiFi is turned on). So I need to turn the button off and turn it on again and then it will connect, or I just go to settings for WiFi and it will start scanning and connect to WiFi immediately.
More about this behavior: if I am connected to WiFi and go out of range and then in a range of another spot lets say in 10-20 minutes my phone will connect automatically. If its longer period maybe 20 minutes or more it wont connect automatically when I get into range. Also I dont think that has something to do with phone getting to deep sleep, because this morning I was walking to my home and listening music all the time and when I got home my phone didnt connect automatically. Nothing. It just seems it stops scanning, also when this happens I am not notified about open networks when I get in range.
My WiFi setting is always set on always connected and this happens even when I flash new stock ROM. While ago when I flashed version 2.3.4 this wasnt a problem, now even when I flash that one I have this same problem. I also tried few different stock ROMS without success.
I know this is not a big deal but it is irritating and I would like to fix this, so please help
Check your wifi sleep policy.
Press menu in wifi settings and set it to 'never'

[Q] Wifi not really connected..

Hi at all!
I have a HTC One S running 4.3, Sense 5.5, Liberty MAX.
My problem ist that WhatsApp Plus notifications come to late, up to 10min when the screen is off. When the screen is on or I turn it on, they come in immediately.
I discoverd that when I turn off the screen and right after I execute a ping from PC to the HTC, it responds correct and never stops to do so.
But when I turn off the screen, wait 60 seconds and then try to ping, it says "Destination host unreachable".
On this state, Email push come through immediately, WhatsApp notifications last several minutes like tolden, but even if an Email or WhatsApp notification comes in, the ping still says "Destination host unreachable". The HTC responds immediately if I turn on the screen. Wifi is still on. Its same even if mobile data was switched off. So WhatsApp or Email notifications can't come through mobile network.
I'm sure Wifi is on all the time, but WhatsApp notifications come to late and I can't ping the device after 60 seconds of screen off. (I can ping my GFs SGS4 at any time)
My settings:
"Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep": Always
"Wi-Fi optimazation": unchecked
"Sleep mode" (Turn off data connection during long periods of inactivity): OFF
I tried other settings, but always the same behaviour.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Yesterday I tested my father's HTC One (stock) in hes network. Same behaviour!
Can anybody confirm this with a HTC (One S, One X, One, ...)?
I think maybe it's not a bug, but HTC's default behaviour..
Lock the screen, wait 60 seconds and ping from PC to HTC. (Don't start to ping before, otherwise it will never stop to respond anyway)
I also discovered that while PC gets "Destination host unreachable", SGS4 gets response continuously with the app "Ping" (ilMobile Apps). Weird!
Please anyone try to ping Your HTC

Unable to turn on Wifi on YOG4PAS1N0

Hello!
Since I installed YOG4PAS1N0, I have an annoying problem with my wifi:
Whenever I turn wifi off, I'm not able to turn it on again. Tapping on it doesn't do anything. Entering and leaving airplane mode doesn't help either. The only way to turn on wifi is to reboot the phone. Then wifi is turned on when the phone started.
After installing YOG4PAS1N0 I didn't do anything. No app installed or any settings changed. Nothing.
Can anybody help me finding a solution please?
It happened to me just once: i switched my profile with one that turns wifi off, then turning it on again by any means would not start scanning for networks resulting in an empty list. A full reboot solved the problem, but now I can't seem to reproduce this issue. I rembember my headphones were plugged in but I can't see why that would interfere with wifi interface.
I don't use any profiles, though.
When I try to activate wifi and hit the wifi settings, my phone literally freezes for 10 seconds before I can use it again - with disabled wifi.

Turn on WiFi Automatically vs leaving WiFi on - good for battery or not?

Question's in the title.
Secondly, do you use it or not?
On Fi, so I try to keep to Wifi for the month (saves me $10 over if I even download an email by Fi). No problem with the battery - I can get more than a full day sometimes. Do we use "it"? Wifi? All the time. The only time I ever turned it off was back when I had unlimited data and would turn it off when I left home (automatically with Tasker).
I use Automagic to turn it (and Bluetooth) off when the screen is off and there's been no connection for more than 5 mins. It turns them on again when the screen wakes up. Not sure how much difference it makes to battery life though - the biggest difference is made by turning of WiFi (and Bluetooth) 'scanning' in the location settings ...
